In Canada this is a long week-end. Gardeners are putting in their annuals and doing their “big plantings” and cottage goers .. it is traditional that most drive out to open their summer cottages. Happy Long Week-end everyone. Enjoy what ever you have on for the week-end.

In reading your other piece, I agree that we alone have the power to put our own needs first. And listening to ourselves to determine what those needs might be is the tricky, difficult part.
I was lucky ,, my Dad always encouraged me to live a life doing my best to be happy, and when I came home crying or with my feelingss” hurt”.. he taught me to see the positives in life.. that everything happens for a reason. I like being happy… and at this stage in my life. I also know contentment. What a blessing!
