I took this picture the other day…. I have been haunted by the tranquility of the place ever since and will head back there this morning. See that small white dot (bird) off on a branch … not being able to get closer with my cell… I am going back this time with my camera.. not that it will still be there, but.. let me see if I will use the camera. I recharged the battery… I hadn’t used it since 2023! maybe even longer. I am terrible ..if a piece of equipment doesn’t work the way I think it should I put it away… now I have to decide.. if I’m not going to use it.. I should pass it along. omg another decision to make!!!!

The other day while driving down towards the St. Lawrence (river), which is south of where I live, I was surprised to see that some of the trees were already showing signs of fall. We’ve had a very hot and humid summer, but fall doesn’t officially start till mid/late September. Still, I must admit, I am looking forward to the changing season. That fresh crispness that wafts through the air on clear sunny days,
Pay careful attention without overly straining yourself of taking things too lightly
Having the right amount of tension in your life allows you to notice many things, and that will help you to better express yourself.

I failed to resist the temptation – I drove to the east end for a steamed hotdog and an order of fries.. (heaping order.. I couldn’t even eat them all!)
Quin tried to resist, but failed in her attempt to not get her nails trimmed.
Sometimes life is just not fair… Did I enjoy my fries and steamed hotdog… Yup! Did Quin thank me for shortening her nails… nnnnnnooo. but… I got her front ones done.. I was pleased.
Express yourself freely within the rules.
If you allow yourself to interpret rules and regulations too rigidly, you are limiting yourself. You can find true joy when you work creatively within the rules.

PL Ottawa offers a quiet tranquil respite from a busy active world. Nestled between trees and an expansive park like setting…. there is always someone to welcome and greet the visitor.
Situated off a busy major road that flows traffic across the busy city (Ottawa is the capital of Canada) we often are visited by people curious and just wanting to stop a moment. In a city where there is a constant stream of traffic, of people and cars “getting somewhere’…. the church grounds are right next to protected green space. It is not unusual to find that “wildlife” from the little forest will stroll over to church grounds, curious to explore.
Different but another thought for you to think about
A cheerful smile and expression makes everyone around you happy.
When you do everything with a smile, not only you but the people around you will feel good. Always remember to put on a happy face.

PL church Ottawa is the only physical building in Canada, we are visited from members from USA, Brazil, Japan. For PL members it is an opportunity to have a place to be while touring and visiting in the area.
Faroe islands ( The Faroe Islands is a self-governing archipelago, part of the Kingdom of Denmark.) on the left .. Newfoundland (Canada) on the right – two very different places with beautiful inspiring escapes.
One of the observations I’ve had with this move, is that my physical location has made a difference for me. I have had to adjust to underground parking, elevators and mechanical noises that were not part of my daily existence .. a constant meeting of “strangers” in close proximity… but when I enter my apartment, I am “home”. The cats and I have had to adjust to having a smaller floorplan than we did living in a house with three stories….. I certainly am now privy to how they spend their nights !!!!
I spent most of yesterday doing another batch of cards.
Interesting how in this new space, I have found inspiration to get back to being creative with my “invenotry”.. I feel lighter, less burdened. Yet if you had asked me before the move if I felt ” burdened” I would have immediately replied. NO. A good example of walking around with my head in the sand, !
It is interesting because it is different
Even if someone totally disagrees with you or does things differently, you may learn something from them. Avoid getting trapped in the mindset “this is the way it has to be ” and free your mind to consider other possibilities.

Came home from a long day yesterday to find a message from the concierge, could I come to the front desk please…. et voila…this beautiful arrangement was waiting for me.
It took me some time to get over my husband’s passing, the changes that made in my life, how I felt about my situation, what it meant to me, and how I was going to move forward. Nature, its constant ebb and flow, the seasons, flowed into one another, spring was followed by summers, summers turned golden and crimson, … winter soon followed, and before I knew it years had passed and I was still “on hold”
You all know that soon changed in the spring of this year when I woke up one day and listened to the urging of my inner voice. You have seen my posts, you’ve read my “ramblings” … one quote that I have used .. is
it was like a light bulb went on in my head. I didn’t even know that I was ready to move on with my life it just happened. To my amazing friends who helped me achieve this mammoth change from being a home owner to a renter….the real estate agency that worked to accomplish my goal, Walkerottawa.com (Michelle Walker and Carl Brunet) .. I am filled with gratitude, I could not have done it on my own. their expert consultation/guidance their action plan. The house was sold within the first couple of days.
In life .. I have learned that only I can make changes to my life…. the responsibility is all mine and mine alone. “Knowing something is not the same as being wise.”
First, Accept everything
Life is filled with moments, sometimes happy and at times inconvenient. It is important to first accept every situation as it occurs and try to accept and understand it for what it is,

Happiness is getting one more project done. Needed to top up the inventory of cards that the church supplies a couple of “places” in the city. Having just moved, could I find some of my supplies.. of course not… Being a long time card maker and multi media expressionist, I have gotten used to using the quality of inks etc. from Art Supply stores. When I came to use inks.. guess what I couldn’t find. I decided to try a package of inks offered for children’s activities. Hello World! they worked just fine for the cards..
The other challenge I’ve been given is a new parking spot …Suffice to say the jury is still out if I can maneuver the car into the sardine space. There is a difference of 80$ a month. Psst .. send encouragement !!!!!
