Yesterday was National Sax Day in the USA, It was interesting to hear a song I knew always played by a tenor sax, being played with an alto.. same musician was delivering the song, different date. Each instrument lent a different “story” to the music. I found myself hearing and feeling totally different reactions to the piece. I contemplated on this later… how one person can interpret a song one way with one instrument and yet have it be almost a totally different experience when that same song is delivered with a different instrument .. and at a different time/place.
Like watching a fire burn … beautiful in all its stages, same fire, but always different. hmffpph .. LIFE IS.
Give importance to listening, looking, thinking, doing and speaking. Look and listen carefully before making a judgement. Assumptions and hasty conclusions can lead to misunderstandings

It’s easier to adapt to something when we find it interesting. No matter how enjoyable a situation is, a slight change in our attitude can make it boring. let’s face any situation with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Sometimes it is not what we see, but what we can’t see that speaks to us,

Express your feelings straight away. It will be good if you could express your feelings as they are to people around you, when you are happy or when you are troubled. Also, it will be a good chance for you to get to know others.

Perception is important. Take immediate action once you suddenly perceive, You might discover something important in what you perceive.

Let’s being today with a smile.
Friends come in all shapes and sizes. I’ve been blessed with so many wonderful people in my life. Some I see sometimes, others I may not see often, but always, there is communication of some kind. Alan Watts (Alan Watts was an orator and philosopher of the 20th century. He spent time reflecting on Personal Identity and Higher Consciousness.) believed, we were all One, and friends were an extension of ourselves.
In PL, one of our Precepts is… All is a mirror…. Precept #15
After spending time with a number of friends yesterday, I went to bed feeling elated and pleased. So many different personalities, yet, every single one I visited with, spoke to, spent time with, gave me pleasure by being who they are.. I felt very blessed to have shared time with them. It was like receiving a bouquet of flowers, Each flower, leaf, stem unique… together they were a beautiful vision, and then when you look at each one, you saw/see another kind of beauty .. no one flower was the same, each had /has a personality of his/her own.
Make happiness with willingness. People who like to make an effort can enjoy anything. Those who spare no effort for anything and anyone know the joy of making art. Make an effort with willingness,

Well done is better, than well said.
Listening is an ‘ART’… on my walks I listen… for nothing in particular, it is an exercise… being quiet and listening to my surroundings. When I began this exercise many moons ago, I found that my thoughts would often vie for my attention. The chatter could get rather annoying, with time, I learned to accept and let go of the thoughts that pushed to the front for attention.
An interesting “realization” came one day when I noticed that when the chatter ceased to be a nuisance, I “saw” things more clearly. In my walks I saw the smallest details in the over crowded vegetation, like the lens on my camera.. details became visible, giving broader perspectives. My mind took visual pictures that translated themselves into sometimes verbal, other times nonverbal moments of awareness.
Listen to others until the end, If you put your thoughts first, you will not be able to listen to others until the end. Firstly, listen to others to the end and understand them well.

Take time, make time…. to stop during the day… just stop… close your eyes… and take in the moment. No reason, just because. It will be the pause that refreshes. Smile you are being wrapped with a warm hug of love and appreciation.
I have missed my horse buddies, they are always out in the pasture when I drive by, but have been missing over the summer. I have not seen the owner or I would enquire. They were always so friendly. I recall one year they left over summer and were back in the fall, I’ll be watching for them. Strange how even tho’ I’ve never met them up close and personal, I miss them.. They have been part of my journey now for almost 4 years plus. Every morning I would greet them from my car as I passed to and from my destination.
Be big hearted. In fact, what you are concerned about might be something you don’t need to be concerned about. Interact with people without worrying too much.
