The 11th of every month, in PL, we celebrate and give thanks to our ancestors, parents and those who supported us throughout our lives.
When the road ahead looks dark, we have to believe and have faith, that if it is the road ahead of us, and one we are meant to take, that it will be welcoming.
There is always light. God is always with us.

And that is the reality. That is just the way it is. Our experiences, our past shapes our future…. Make each moment count. Live each day with new “eyes” … be open to new experiences, choices, we all have them…
Tomorrow is the 21st For members of Perfect Liberty, we celebrate with a Thanksgiving Service. We give thanks and show our appreciation for the blessings of the past month, while sincerely renewing our determination to follow and practice the Precepts and Principles of PL.

Good evening everyone, the above are words that we have been hearing for the last many months. #5 is what we were told today. I picked up the PL Calendar for the 29th.
Be Cheerful and Easygoing
Everything has a way of turning out alright in the end. Relax and always try to Think Positively.
How we deal with challenges that come our way, determines a lot, about how we enjoy our days, and if we are able to Think Positively.
My husband and I both would have liked the scenes we are living to be somewhat different, however, they are not. They are what they are. We do our best to encourage others around us, help them find their way in the “stories” that they are living. We also make time for “us” … and our personal “selves”
The messenger doesn’t always bring “good news”, but every one is doing their best, and that is really all one can ask. When we get over whelmed, we accept that moment, and rest. No regrets or misgivings. Tomorrow is another day. when it arrives, we will deal with it, one step at a time.
Whatever the outcome, knowing we have done all we can do. When the time comes for the day to come to an end. We will know we did our best. Meanwhile, we enjoy each other, and know we’ve come a long way, each being whole, when sharing with the other.
This is VERY POSITIVE.

Unwanted noise
beautiful trees ripped out
hedges disappear
in one day
single family home
gone
quiet older community
invaded
trees that stood for years
home to the “wild” life
city dwellers gone
no more sunlight
through vibrant branches
now, rumbling
loud mechanical noise
Last year when my Mother was bidding farewell to her years on earth, my sister who was staying with her. Passed the time, drawing and colouring, memories of another time.
Change happen, with “progress” comes destruction, to “make way” for “infill” buildings that are meant to fill in where older homes , single family homes with laneways, garages that held the cars that used to fit inside them, and usually have pretty front lawns, and backyards, big enough for small patios and gardens, either filled with flowers in season, or vegetables.
Now these homes when their owners pass away, are taken over by builders who tear them down, and put in two homes on a lot that was meant for one. Usually, architecture that is cold and sterile. Forget a lawn or garden spaces. Cement, pavement and more cold man-made materials, usually in various shades of grays and blacks. Garages if there, are usually part of the main floor, still usually too small for the bigger cars of today, so they end up always outside parked on the single space of the paved front of the dwelling.
Sad, but that is progress. If you are near, or can easily get to green space. Treasure it. Take the time to enjoy it. Listen to the birds when they visit (if they do) enjoy the fresh earthly smells of spring, and watch as the young flowers unfold to embrace another season of “life”
Life, can be fleeting. Live in the moment. Enjoy each and every second of your day. don’t wait till it fades away.

Para pessoas preocupadas surgem fatos preocupantes Para otimistas, fatos alegres e para os gentis, fatos agradaveis.
A person who constantly worries will always find things to worry about. An optimistic person will attract happiness. A kind person will always be blessed with kindness in return.

What a difference a day makes.
I used to suggest to clients that keeping a journal, even if it was sentence, or a word to express how they/you felt at that moment, or about the day. Not everyone likes to write, or wants more words.
Since in PL, (Perfect Liberty) we say, “Life is art” (Precept #1) I began to suggest if not a word, a sketch, or picture, something doodled. It doesn’t really matter, no one will see or read what is written, unless you share. It is for YOU from YOU.
At the time, it seems insignificant, but that simple “action” leads to appreciation and gratitude. As the days progress (nights) something beautiful starts to happen, you see what “was” in such a different light. No two days are the same. Never. Moments cannot be relived.
Even if I end up adding only one bit of shading or colour tonight, this little card will have another dimension. AND yes, even if I don’t get to do anything with the card, today, tomorrow or the day after, I will SEE the card differently with each passing day.
A”story” of my own making….. Happy sunshine, and many creative opportunities be afforded you today. If it is evening when you read this, may you be blessed with a contentment of peace in your sleep.

Day 7
Don’t Strain, Don’t Rush, and Don’t be Greedy
When you are doing something, my may rush things to get good results quickly. Instead relax and enjoy the process (PL, Perfect Liberty)
Remember this from yesterday. I loved the simplicity of it, I wanted to do it. To make it easier on myself, I asked the minister’s wife if she could please show me how to do it. Being a visual person, I do better when I see something done (when it is totally foreign to me and origami is) Her patience at folding the paper, and refolding to ensure that I was seeing where I had to turn the paper, how to fold a crease etc. was calming.
I didn’t know that I was so hesitant to do it wrong, that I wouldn’t even try until I saw her do it. The she patiently led me through the steps, one by one.
Me, “miss get it done” was learning something new, I doubt it is something I will ever excel in, but I did it. I have an artistic bent as you all know. The mediums I do best in, are media that work WITH me, for example, my “style” of work, and my need to watch the process develop (I am getting better) finds me working with acrylic and water paints. Oils and I have not clicked over the years. Yet I do work with mediums that require over night drying…I’ve never taken to oils.
This lesson has a lot to “say” to me. I know that I will do my best to apply myself to practicing the wisdom in this lesson.
I will do my best.. that is all any of us can do.

Year 2018 —— Dog (earth )
Dogs are capable and knowledgeable, and it is not unusual to see Dog people in high demand in the job market. Dogs like to work at whatever career they choose. Prince William, Elvis, Cher, George Gershwin, Mother Teresa, were born in Dog years
As a partner Dogs are extremely loyal although they think they know best, it is fortunate that they are usually open-minded. and will be open to advice. Generally speaking with their sensitive and compassionate heart, they do well in occupations or careers that “serve” or work in the best interest of others. ie. teachers, charity workers, doctors etc.
Unlike other Dog years the Earth Dog is less idealistic than most Dogs, the Earth element makes them practical enough they don’t lose sight of reality.
In China dogs are usually associated with justice and compassion.
We are living at a time, when the plus, positive characteristics of the Dog, could stand us in good staid.
