I was out of the city most of the week, travelling the roads…Gone are the fields of green, I was met with beautiful skies, that reflected the cooler temperatures, and the fields of white. Interesting how the sky actually looks bluer and the clouds whiter when below is a blanket of crystal white snow.

I love that the world is constantly providing us with an abundance of new vistas, opportunities and challenges. Letting go of what was, is an ongoing process of growth and new experiences.

Bom Dia, Saturday has rolled around again. I thought to share some of the colours I have captured in the last few weeks of roaming

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I couldn’t resist driving over to the other end of the parking lot to discover the myriad of colours I could see.

I am sure everyone was wondering what this elderly lady was doing behind the liquor store with her camera. But I was having fun, and isn’t that what life is all about.

The other day I was trying to explain that I am not a photographer, but an artist that uses her camera to capture textures and moods, that I can reuse, recycle into one of my expressions. Whatever right.. it is my fun, my hobby, and I love it. Just like I enjoyed trekking the harvested cranberry fields the other day in the rain.

Theses are trash bins I found in Chinatown the other day. My son and I had a philosophical conversation last night about life. It is always interesting to listen and learn from someone who has a different perspective on life. We take turns in being the grown up. LOL today’s PL Calendar, says it all.

Day 27 Put all your efforts into the NOW. You can only do your best right this moment, not in the past, not n the future, but now.

Thursday Doors

Happy Thursday everyone.. Bom dia.

Some doorways have a very open and spacious entrance. Others are more “this is what you get” and the tenants do their best to make it welcoming.

Then you leave the town and head out into the open country, the sights and sounds are very different. Yet always there are doors.

I got a tad turned around in my outing yesterday, found myself south when I should have been heading east. Ah who cared, I was out exploring and best of all, the sights of the fall colours was awesome. Meet my new friends…

He was a brilliant conversationalist, (both males) the blonde was less talkative. Sigh pleasures come from the most unexpected places. =^_^=

Remember, we are all responsible for the choices we make in life. Take time today to swing your happy into high gear. Happiness is a powerful positive energy.

PL Calendar day 25…. If you skimp on the paint, your painting will not turn out well. Live a fulfilled life every day by utilizing things, money, your knowledge or energy to their fullest.

Stay awhile, simply stand, sit, wait, till the sounds around you, are the only thoughts you hear. Feel the breeze, take in the smells, you will feel you body start to relax.

Thursday Doors – 9.20

Charm of days gone by. There is so much to take in when you travel a back road. You have to know that you will not get anywhere fast, you simply accept the moments of discovery. This was the scene that beckoned loud enough for me to stop and actually get out. It is aged, tired and worn, but yet it is standing proud. Wind, snow, ice, rain, yes they have left their mark, but the place, for me , still had a quiet dignity. It stood, just off a paved road, but the surrounding land, was rich and bore the remnants of a bountiful crop.

I left today, open to the possibilities, and the Universe provided “seek and you shall find” PL Precept #1 Life is Art

The day was a happy one, and totally productive in a very creative way. I hope you enjoyed the same.

Chop Suey Tuesday 18th

oct journal page Happy September 18th everyone.

First I want to thank you all or your birthday wishes. I was away for a birthday outing yesterday, when I came back I was overwhelmed by all the messages and good wishes. Wow, it is going to be super awesome year, I have been jet propelled into a new year. I am truly blessed, I say thank you each and every day!

While some look for pristine, blank pages, I work at making mine look old, and sometimes, like here, I strive to make rust, and dirty a page, this is my playtime. Yesterday was spent visiting places in west of downtown Montreal, looking for paint, inks, and any and all other artistic, creative tools, to be found, It was an all day event that I got to share with two like-minded friends, needless to say, it was a lot of fun.

Every person is unique, we each and every one of us, expresses ourselves in our own way. What rocks one person, can be a total turn off to the other, yet when we are on a search and find mission, the enthusiasm of the other person’s excitement when they have found something that has fired up their enthusiasm for their craft, that is catching. It is smiles all around.

In our travels as we headed back towards Ottawa, I found Catnip who I knew would be perfect for my October Fright journal.

Sharing happiness with friends is a blessing. What better way to share a birthday celebration, Catnip will always remind me that my 2018 birthday was not only great. It lasted for days, Today I am off on another adventure.

Thursday Doors

Thursday doors is a feature of Norm’s blog Norm 2.0, I really love to be able to share, my love of doors, these were solid and welcoming even if somewhat stern.

The next two pictures were taken in the town of Rockland itself, didn’t get the doors up close, I enjoyed the possibilities from my bench on the other side of the street, a lot of traffic for a small town, but did manage one of the former manse without a moving vehicle. Nice way to spend a sunny day. Lounging =^_^=

an early birthday surprise….

Many years ago, I would not have known who Neymar Jr was, nor would I have wanted a futbol shirt. See how time changes us. Time and the various experiences we live shape our development. A stint in a Spanish country, a visit to the French seaside, life is full of possibilities. Each step we take outside our comfort zone, makes us stronger.

Tomorrow the 11th. in PL we will be celebrating Ancestors day. In some countries it is already tomorrow. For my many friends on the same time-table as myself, wake to a new day, and be thankful for who you are today.
