I’m testing out a new feeder. Although after seeing what the racoons can do… I now know why so many of my feeders last year got demolished. Guess I will have to plan for the next winter season, rethink the kind of feeders I will need ..
will see if this bicycle feeder will hold up…=^_^=

PS.. last winter I’d arrive to find the feeders looking like a cyclone had gone through. Now I have a better idea of just how they got turned over, ripped apart etc. As cute as these racoons are… those little hands and their cunning I think can do a lot of damage.

I had wonderful “ladies day” outing, we had lunch at a cafe/restaurant on the canal, ate out by the water. I didn’t intend for it to happen but I have a golden glow that wasn’t there earlier. The sun was out, there was a breeze, company was exceptional, food was good.. hey.. Life is Good!
Kyososai, the PL founders Day ceremony falls on August 1st. It is a ceremony where we express our most sincere appreciation to Oshieoya and the first and second founders. Our Oshieoya passed away this past year, so this event is even more important this year for we will be remembering with appreciation and gratitude, the work that has been done to date, for the rapid realization of true World Peace.
Past years I have been in Japan for this celebration and ceremony, on this day tens of thousands of PL members from the local churches in Japan and all distant parts of the world, would gather at the PL Hoy Land, the home of our spirits, to show appreciation and pray. It is a very special occassion. This year due to the passing of Oshieoya, travel restrictions, and other factors that must be dealt with due to the world wide pandemic, there has had to be adjustments .. still the day is one that we must acknowledge and celebrate each in our own way.
When our first founder passed, he asked the teachings/philosophy be spread all over the world. “Do not grieve or mourn over my death. Rather, celebrate together with fireworks” this has been a long standing tradition. To this end the Second Founder wanting to fulfill his father’s wish, created “the Art of PL fireworks.” Every year the pilgrimage is made, the grounds fill up and after the PL Kyososai ceremony, it is followed by fireworks that have been enjoyed for years.
Wherever you are, on August 1, please join in with us in prayer and meditation, give thanks and appreciation for the significance of this day, its purpose and what it symbolizes. We more than ever need to work towards World Peace.
Also on Founders’ Day August 1. there is a ceremony held in the Peace Tower (PL Headquarters in Tondabayashi, Osaka, Japan) Where we honour the spirits of all those who lost their lives in wars, regardless of race, religion or Nationality they are memorialized at the altar of the Peace Tower. We pray for everlasting peace of humankind.
Mark your calendars, August 1. Kyososai. We all, everyone of us, want World Peace. Please check with your local church, find out what is being done, and attend if you can. That happens to all of us at one time or another. I am no exception, the artist that did this installation many years ago, had me captivated with the sculptures used, I appreciated it at the time for the creativity, thought and ability to reproduce his/her vision in a virtual world for us all to enjoy. Now I have gone deep into my library files to find the pictures I took then because I can relate to them in a different way.
Always a very efficient and capable person, I prided myself on my organizational skills and my ability to carry out in an effective and efficient way, projects and tasks I’d undertaken. Now, years later, I find that I’m not so interested nor am I doing a very good job at multi tasking like I used to. In fact, (light bulb moment) I don’t want to. omg I’ve said it out loud, and I’m posting it in black and white. (goes thru papers looking for today’s calendar…)
Change your mind, thinking “it will be alright” – Do your best you can without being overly attached.

Ok this will be my mantra for the day. I have to work at accepting I am no longer in my 20’s/30’s and I no longer have the same drive or desires (ps. nor do I have the same stamina, but I still want to live like I do) (stamina that is)
i.e I liked doing everything myself… yesterday I had to ask my niece and nephew for help… Tide not only makes their products child proof, if you have arthritis in your hands.. forget trying to open their laundry jug. Bah humbug!
Ooops fell off the page.. sorry .. “change your mind, thinking “it will be alright“….. repeat …. LOL I’ll be fine.. will go walking in the rain.. it will wash away some of the cobwebs.. Do you know when its 9 o’clock pm on the west coast, it is midnight here where I live!!!!!! (yes someone had a late night!!)
