My My, Chiang Mai!
Wonders
Feel the heat, know the hunger
that mixes with the wonder
of discovering that Nature can be so beautiful
yet, so complex, and full of mysteries
an ice cave, inside a volcano
could this really be
yes deep down inside under the crust of the earth
Nature’s awesome wonders
continue to be a fascination
that are forever bending and challenging
my understanding and appreciation
of what IS
because it isn’t in my immediate reality
does not mean it does not exist
or that it isn’t so…
it simply means I have not been there yet
or the experience is one I have not had
Love is much like the above
we tend to want to categorize and romanticize love
yet time and time again
we learn, that only in letting go of preconceived ideas of what it should be
do we discover that it wasn’t that at all
when we allow love/God into our lives,
we thrive
no matter who we are, where we are, ” what” we are
all living entities/beings, respond to love
kindness, understanding towards one another
can change the world
when we explore what is beyond our known reality
we discovers the wonders, the glorious, the unfathomable
Love transcends our realities
be open to the wonders of life

keep it simple, keep it true
once upon a time
sentiments were cute
even whimsical
once upon a time, we even took pride
in making our own cards
or personally making something
and hand delivering our little token of friendship
there was a time
when the anticipation of simply having time alone
with someone dear that we cared for
was enough to set our hearts to smiling
we whiled away the time thinking of
when we could sit side by side
and simply look into each other’s eyes.
hello today, this was yesterday
I wish it wasn’t that way
we have let a lot of decay, work its way, into our day-to-day
what was, simply is no more
many of us, want to work on our own,
somehow, people seem to have lost that connection
or part of community, that has us working as a group
a team, that works together for the common good
do any of you, know what the last picture is all about?
Playing outside was always fun
there was no need for extra spending
people used what was on hand, and it worked just fine
OK yes, time moves on, this is a different time
but, people are people,
we still need to connect on a simpler plane
friendships, are formed when we get to know
our neighbours, and the people we meet along the way
not just to nod and say hello
but to say ..hey, how are you…. and genuinely care
about what they answer .
We need not wait till February to say, “you are very special”
with December just around the corner
I hope the coming season will be one without borders
where thoughts won’t be on gifts
but rather reaching out and staying in touch
with the people who have passed through
our lives… and in their own way
left a memory that doesn’t fade away
keep it simple
kindness, thoughtfulness
are gifts from the heart
and treasures that last a lifetime

looking up
when walking through my dream
it seems, that all I did was walk
I searched, had no idea what I was searching for
but on, and on I went
down corridors, and carpeted halls
even ran up broad marbled stairs
this is not my first time in the maze
sometimes it feels like I’m lost for days
it’s the past, it’s the present
yes I talk to people
I ask for directions,
I’m realizing now as I recount
this tale, no one ever says good day
not me, or anyone else I meet
we are all so busy, busy, busy
how can I be lost
I’m surrounded by people
yet I am on this endless search
I can’t find my “room” my private space
everything looks the same, each corridor
I find, has numbered doors,
1st, 2nd, 21st. floor it doesn’t matter
no door is mine, besides, I seem to have lost the key
what web have I created with my nattering mind
and multi tasked habits
oh please, why do I insist on constantly searching
when if only I would stop, just stop
and look up instead of rushing
from one place to another
looking up
I will see the sky, the Universe
and in the vastness of the Universe
my spirit will find peace
from the chattering of my mind
of daily matters that blind me
to the inner voice with me
that tells me, I need not search
I need not worry that I can’t get home
I am always home
God/Tao/Universe is always with me
I am never alone
I need only stop
and look up.

The Native American… by the Native Station (this is long, but it is hoped you will find it interesting..)
In researching the Wampanaog for another blog I write, I found that there is a whole community in Nova Scotia, Canada. And, in Quebec, and Ontario… I had no idea. it was rather an eye opener.. if you would (from last blog) a light bulb moment.
PL Principle # 3 I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things
PL Precept # 14 World Peace is Everything
Learning about another culture, meeting other people with diverse or different ways of life and doing things, will broaden my own world. I believe this to be so. What about you? What if anything did you feel about this posting… I found parts of the video disturbing, but I kept watching and listening.

Light bulb moments… we’ve all experienced them from time to time.. that Ahhhh moment… that moment where an awareness goes “smack” and we wonder how we had missed seeing it before.. Truth be told, we didn’t miss it, our stubborn resistance to it was just too focused on doing either something else, or wanting it to be another way.
Our minds are a cornucopia of wow, super fabulous, mundane and useless thoughts. Some are very creative and helpful and others not. I like to think of myself as a teacher, I’m bright, I’m helpful I’m a student of life, who applies and works diligently at working to bring peace and happiness to others …etc.etc…etc.. I’m a bright light….duh…NOT
LOL.. when will I learn.. when will I actually practice what I “preach” When will I tame my stubborn nature, my lazy nature, will it every happen. Will I always be like the shoe maker who makes and fashions the most beautiful of shoes, and wears run down uncared shoes him/herself.
In PL we say ” We are all born into this world with a one of a kind personality and Makoto (individuality and unique character) given to us by God.” In order to do this, it is important that we do so daily, focusing on expressing our true selves with Makoto (sincerity)
PL precept # 7 – Everything exists in Relativity
PL Principles # 6 I will not be stubborn, being captured by my own thoughts.
Light bulb moment’s happen for a reason, when we realize the lesson they are teaching .. when we grasp (once again) that we are still allowing our “conceit/determination/stubborn nature” to alter , hasten or remove what IS… try to reflect on the moment, the lesson….. and work to improve… ask yourself why???? why do you do something that you know… because deep down we do know…… that until we do… history will keep repeating itself.

Exotic Bali + meditation
Tropical beach, look at that water, this is the Ayana Resort and Spa in Bali. Hmmm I have a friend who is on holiday in Bali, she has been sending back the most incredible pictures. Her face beams in every picture where she is in them. Got me thinking, admittedly some of the pictures had me thinking ahhhh yes, a massage by the pool, then a lazy afternoon enjoying the tropical sunshine and breezes.
This is Huilo, Huilo in Neltume, lodges built on a biological reserve, they are environmental wonders. they are uniquely in touch with their surroundings… perfect for nature lovers, lots of hiking, exploring, totally different kind of holiday.
This is a picture found on 500px.com, of Dawn in Bali by Ko Zaw………………….. does this calm the mind or what.. Ok, today I’ll go with the calm, quiet atmosphere of the gentle waters and soothing sounds provided by the beaches and coastline of the areas shown in these pictures to colour my day.
We can’t always be where we might like to be at any given moment in time, but we can thanks to the technology today, be where our hearts take us. The destination is usually coordinated by our often busy chattering minds. In taking the time for a quiet moment, the mind will sigh with relief…. share with me a quiet moment… allow your thoughts to travel with mine in to the depth of the blues and greens, see the little white pebble like shapes, the tiny bird,… then allow you eyes to drift beyond towards the horizon, …. feel your breathing , enjoy the soft swell of your chest as you silently allow the moment to wash over you.
Take this shared moment, the soft, sweet tenderness of now… and carry it into your day…
Seriously, luxury lagoon villa, for those of you who needed a different visual.. now did that get a smile……
Carry the smile all through the day.. you’ll see it is catching.
Short meditations work, whether you want them to or not.

excessive concern
There is a saying or teaching in Pl that encourages us to let go of excessive attachment or concern about someone or something. “EN wo Tsukeru”

In one of our books “Live with Passion” by Rev. Yumiko Tsuyama she gives an example of a your couple whose child was seriously ill with pneumonia. They were constantly at the hospital, fussing, fretting and agonizing over the state the child was in.. The fever was not going down.
They went to church and prayed with the minister. He asked them to put their faith and trust in God. After their prayers as they were leaving to go back to the hospital, Sensei surprised them by suggesting that they go to a movie. It took everyone by surprise, but they did go see a movie.
Later the friend reported to the minister, “I was so worried and couldn’t stop thinking about my baby, but gradually, as I watched the movie, I became interested and laughed and laughed. I forgot everything else. After the movie, my wife and I returned to the hospital. It was a miracle. Our baby’s fever was gone”
The worry and “negative” stress of the parents, (EN) unknown to them could be felt by the baby, it unsettled the baby’s own “energy” and impeded the work of the “Universe” True faith is not easy. It is a life long practice.
PL (Perfect Liberty) Principle #15 – I will no do anything overly
Each and every one of us, has concerns that cannot be resolved easily.Problems that could seem trivia to others may be serious problems for you, because you have to deal with them everyday. How you proceed, how you live with your “challenges” in life, makes a big difference. A positive state of mind is something that we cultivate and encourage in others and ourselves.
Live a prayerful life

Deep in the forest
Somewhere deep in the forest, the sound of suppressed weeping drifted with heartbreaking moans that left the little elf restless and frustrated. He wanted to help, he wanted to fly across the glen and offer his help. Sadly he knew, that the little maiden in such utter distress, had to let her sadness flow, let the grief that had over taken her, run its course.
Sometimes in life, we can hear the pain in a friend’s voice, or see the sadness in their eyes. We want to shout out or do something to make that pain go away. It is so hard to watch a friend suffer through their silent agony. A void, a memory, a shattering grief for what was, or could have been.
Some willingly give their hearts, only to find that the person that they trusted and believed in, was merely a “mistress” of their own making. It is so easy to build a life (storyline) around what we seek, and want in another person, that in doing so, we are blind to the person they really are.
No one is at fault. People live being who they are, If others build a fantasy around us, that is their journey, not ours.
In TAO/ life nothing is as simple or linear that what we see is what IS. A tree started out as a seed, the seed had to die to give birth to the shoot that will grow into a tree. We might look out over the vast expanse of ocean, with wonder and awe .. do we at the same time, see the total depth and breadth of the ocean from our vantage point…. no…we do not.
We do not live in a bubble. But it is easy for some to try to build walls, the deny others access to who we really are.
Just keep in mind, if are only presenting a portion of YOU, then you can’t expect the other person to respond in a manner that will speak to ALL of YOU
If we don’t know what we want, it is difficult to expect someone else to.
The crying had stopped, the world was silent, the population in the glen had resumed their comings and goings. the little elf, gathered up a small bouquet and headed out to visit his friend. Time for a hug. =^_^= there is a time and place for everything.
