That’s right, Xmas, snow, jingle bells, and all that glitters, that is my world the last few days as I start to prepare for the making of holiday cards for seniors and shut ins . My sister is a long time contributor to various charities and organizations, this year she was able to get my attention, for the cause, and I accepted. Yes, it is not till later in the year, but as all of you who are card artists and crafters will know, to be done, with access to supplies etc. we start now.
With shops busy with current events, such as weddings, graduations, vacations, winter is far away, and many have their Xmas/winter embellishments and card/paper stock on sale.
In some ways it is easier for me to be creative about a season that is on its way, in months to come, because I get to work in a sun filled studio with the temperature a nice seasonal 60 – 70 something degrees.
With no pressure to get something done, now….. because someone else needs it to do their part. ie. know what inventory they have so they can know how best to serve their clients. I can create and play just “chilling”
The picture of the “tree” was taken a few years back when my other sister was up from California, and we toured a “green” area not far from where we were at t he time.

This is a beautiful time of the year, so much is happening in the woodlands and gardens that are waking after a long winter’s sleep. We are so fortunate for our abundance. Today’s lesson on the calendar #23 is Applaud the Makoto of others (Makoto=sincerity) When you encounter good faith or kindness in others, make sure that you acknowledge it fully.

There are times, when we are simply on a road, going nowhere in particular, just going. Sometimes roads are long and winding, other times, they simply are a cleared piece of land that cuts through a woodland, hillside, or acres of farmed land. Before it was the norm to have air conditioning in a car, we would drive with the windows open, experiencing the highs and lows of the ambience around us. Our senses were alert to all the world around us, including the dust that swirled around the car on hot lazy days, pebbles hitting the side of the car, the manure in the fields. We were bombarded with a myriad of sights,sounds and smells. We looked around more, we took in everything around us.
We took the tracks that led to places that were simply “lost in time”… When we stopped the world came alive with different sounds, and the blissful renderings of a countryside alive with the sounds of nature gave us a rhapsody of “quiet”

Situated at the foot of the Sredna Gora Mountain, this property has a good disposition being 30 km away from Stara Zagora – the sixth largest town in Bulgaria. The property is located at the center of a nice and peaceful village, where you can face the beautiful nature and go fishing in the river nearby. One of the most famous winter ski resorts – Pamporovo is disposed 168 km away from the village.
The house consists of two stories, with living area of 90 sq. m., a garage for one car, an outbuilding and a garden vast 504 sq. m.
Ground floor: Here you can find an entrance, two rooms and a bathroom/WC. The house was built from sun-dried bricks and stones, the flooring here is wooden, and the frames of the windows are wooden, too.
First floor: An external staircase leads to it. There is a corridor, two bedrooms and a closet here. The flooring in the corridor and one of the bedrooms is cement, and the other premises have wooden flooring. The walls are made of sun-dried bricks, and the frames of the windows are wooden.
The garden is a small one and planted with box-trees, flowers, fruit trees, trellis vine. There is also a drill, which helps for the irrigation.
The house is in basic condition. It needs refreshment and renovation of the plasters. The property is supplied with electricity, running water /outside and inside/ and it is connected to the main sewerage system. An asphalt road leads to the property; it is accessible in the whole year.
The village itself offers shops, a café, a school, a church, a police station, a health service, a post office, a community center, a library, a kindergarten and regular bus transport to the towns and the villages in the vicinity. The region around is suitable for fishing, hunting, mountaineering and village tourism development. So do not miss the chance to become the new owner of that house.
I don’t know if you can access the website, I hope so … for years now I have been receiving the listings from this company, I saw a documentary one day on some travel station, and fell in love with the rural area of Bulgaria. The above is so totally foreign to my current lifestyle and how I go about my life, BUT it appeals to something inside of me.
When I read about places to visit and explore, seldom do I see anything about Bulgaria. In the documentary I saw, men still rode their carts pulled by donkeys through the village, everything seemed so peaceful.

Within a short distance from the property there is a bus stop. In the neighborhood you can find a church and a town hall. Additionally, the area provides the following amenities for a pleasant and comfortable living and entertainment: a cafe, a mineral springs, a near architectural reserve, a near cave, a near monastery/monasteries, a near nature reserve, a reservoir/lake and a river. It is also worth-mentioning that there is no heavy industry in a close proximity.

there really is no other choice, but to go with the flow
so why not use what dissatisfaction

There is always the first time for something. Today was my first time to experience, off roading in a jeep. This is the jeep that I was travelling in, and at this stage of the ride, it was not longer pristine clean. Off roading is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time, the opportunity simply had never presented itself before. Darling sweet Brig, (owner of the jeep) asked if we would go along for the opening of the season ride. What a beautiful day it was.
The whole experience of meeting up with folks who were set and ready to get out and ride, was awesome. Everyone gathered in an agreed to rendez vos, for a set time, and from there we left heading out of the city to the next pick up point. The convoy had to be about 40 vehicles long. You can see the weather cooperated, it was a gorgeous day.
There is something to be said about fresh air, and the strong desire to conquer a challenge. Everyone worked together, and everyone, cheered and supported the drivers who took the harder challenges. The obstacles were there, if you wanted to try them, there were spotters and experienced drivers to coach you through, if you preferred the less arduous route, that was OK too.
There was no easy road, it was all an assortment of ” fun” “bush terrain, with rocks, boulders, mud, and lets not forget the mud ponds with their hidden “treasures” . It was just a matter of deciding if you wanted the rock and roll, the muddy waters, or the roller coaster rock and mud slide.
Our hostess was magnificent, she went up a 45 degree. incline of rock face like it was a piece of cake, honestly I was so proud of her .. she did it on her first try. We saw others having to make several stabs at it. There were moments where I found myself holding my breath, the action was so intense.
Here is a jeep preparing to crawl up one of the rocks. I got to scamper over the rocks up the trails, around the mud, over fallen tree stumps, and of course the personal challenge of finding “private” space (when needed) At least we were out on a day, without the horse flies, mosquitoes, and ticks. We had a GRAND day.
I stepped outside my comfort zone, I explored the backwoods of a countryside I had not been in before. Met some very nice people, took part in a convoy, (that was very well run.) the leader, the spotters, everyone, were so totally focused on enjoying the moment, it was a positive, energizing day.
Who knew… a road is what you want it to be.
