If you have never visited Ottawa, there is a lot to see

beside the main attractions.

Spent a wonderful time exploring the inside of this shop.  Original sculptures, collectibles, jewelry along with music from award winning Thomas B. Maracle.  We were passing through and I didn’t get the time I needed to see everything I wanted to see.  I Understand there is also a recording studio there that I would have liked to explore, and obviously to hear music that has been produced there.  http://www.nativerenaissance.com/

What I did find there, was this wonderful painting that had been done, used for advertising (guessing)  and then left to linger in the elements, I so wanted to rescue it.. but left it for someone else to enjoy and discover.  Instead I took a picture.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.  I looked and saw “beauty”… someone else may see nothing at all, but the little otter, swimming along with his friends, the giant turtle and the pesky beaver (?) , left me wanting to know more about their journey, and the man who painted them.

sheep crossing

Yes, today is Tuesday, and we are once again, taking to the roads,

off to somewhere, where we have not been in a while,

and some places, we’ve never been at all.

No, we won’t be gone long

just long enough to change the channel in our minds

we don’t really plan, we determine a direction

and a few of the stops we’d like to make

along the way

if it should work out that we

find such a place along the way

motor bike

not just on the 17 of May

but really, any day, should be one of exploration

or discoveries

for honestly, we really do get to explore our boundaries

each and every day

if you always go right

perhaps see what happens when you turn left

it could be as simple as crossing a street

Till soon then,

we will be back by end of day

I’m off to play

Have a great and happy day!

country roads

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

There are times, when we are simply on a road, going nowhere in particular, just going.  Sometimes roads are long and winding, other times, they simply are a cleared piece of land that cuts through a woodland, hillside, or acres of farmed land.  Before it was the norm to have air conditioning in a car, we would drive with the windows open, experiencing the highs and lows of the ambience around us.  Our senses were alert to all the world around us, including the dust that swirled around the car on hot lazy days, pebbles hitting the side of the car, the manure in the fields.  We were bombarded with a myriad of sights, sounds and smells.  We looked around more, we took in everything around us.

We took the tracks that led to places that were simply “lost in time”…   When we stopped the world came alive with different sounds, and the blissful renderings of a countryside alive with the sounds of nature gave us a rhapsody of “quiet”

after all, a few seconds later,

you wouldn’t have heard that phone ring

there are times, when

you really really have to put YOU first

Bom dia, happy Saturday everyone!

A lazy start to another wonderful day, closes my eyes, smiles and remembers yesterday. Would you look at this tree, how old must it be, how extraordinary its experiences in life must have been.  It is hard to tell from a picture just how  high that opening is, right away, I want to climb up to explore inside.  In some ways it reminds me of a big bird with its mouth open, and other times when I look at it, I imagine its the entrance to a hobbit condo.  Imagination is wonderful isn’t, so is intuition.  Both are gifts we were born with, some of us use these gifts more than others.

It is still too cool in this part of the world, to lay in the shade basking  under the warm healing sunshine, but in other parts of the country this could be one of your options today.  Yes I am a bit of a day dreamer, but what is wrong with taking a bit of “laid back” time for yourself.  Value your intuition, often we “know” a little voice tells us, we “need” to slow down, engage in some “me time”. Instead we look at our lists, or to the voices of friends who want to go here, there and everywhere, and you become “busy, busy busy”.  We are not machines, and we all know that machines break down, require ongoing maintenance.  Unlike the tree in the first picture, we might not show our scars and our age in the same way, but instinctively we do know when its time to rest, when we have pushed ourselves to a limit. The “Universe” looks out for us, Believe and have Faith, listen to your “intuition”, stop planning every minute of your day.  Allow time in your day to  P L A Y.  Don’t wait for a better time, that time will never just materialize.  Be good to your SELF today.  PRAY=recharge,  rain or shine, make this a day you’ll remember.            PL Precept #18.   Each moment is a Turning Point.

Smile its Tuesday

5f12e28e32a7 Mount Cook, New ZealandWith so  many places in the world experiencing “weather drama”,  in the UK many are dealing with rain & flooding, in the States its snow, blizzards and freezing rain & Canada is getting its share of “stormy weather”  I delved into the picture files and found a highway in New Zealand  with clear blue skies and sunshine.  It is Tuesday a brand new day, there isn’t another car in sight at the moment, I can put the top down and enjoy the warm balmy weather.  The exhilaration of being on the open road, heading into unknown territory, new discoveries, I love, love, love it.  I love that moment of seeing what is around the bend.  The delight in savouring the moment and then !!  the joy at seeing another bend up ahead.  WOW….The bend up ahead will eventually come, but….. NOW is where we are today.

Sometimes we are so intent on looking ahead, we drive by too quickly, we miss road stops along the way that hold wonders and opportunities that will enrich our lives as we travel towards our future.  Look, see, feel, smell, and if you can touch.connect . It is through experimenting, trial and error that we develop and grow.Never deny love in your life.  Love is a precious gift the more you love, the more it grows.  The more you share, the more comes back to you.  Yes, it can be scary at first, but each step forward brings you closer and closer to living a life filled with an eternal love that will embrace and hold you forever.

2c62ad0038636f6b05f4deec6a99599cTrue love cannot be measured, bought or sold. True love is unconditional and will stand the test of time, and transcend all mortal boundaries.

I pray for each and every one of you today, may your day be blessed with an inner calm and quiet that refreshes and soothes. May your frown be replaced with a smile…..  Know the warm glow of the “Divine” glows and grows within you.  Blessings….Oyashikiri

Choices

Choices

I got this picture in the mail the other day, caption was about the pot holes in life, and what a danger they were to us and our vehicles.
I see an adventure of a country road, leading me to new challenges and possibilities. I gaze down the road, happily anticipating what lies ahead,  and wondering what is around the corner.  I hope that there is a place I can pull over to explore the forest of trees that line this new discovery. A dirt road, and unknown destinations are delightful to find..

Smile bring sunshine into your life and those who meet you today. =^_^=
