what on earth have you gotten into
certainly the month of October
brings out the devilish urge
to prance and dance
in outlandish attire
in full view
the hippo you?
that was years ago.
when all you knew was being a Tiny
in a world of fantasy and creativity
where are your clothes
a fine witches brew
you’ve gotten into
it isn’t even Hallow’s Eve
hide behind the pumpkin’s silly grin
what are we to do
when the full moon
comes into view
dear oh dear
I do believe we have a case
of October-itice
we can be anything we want to be
October is the month to play
to dabble
in a witches brew
come join Q
we wait for YOU
hahahaha
coming to a store near you..

When we had our new fence put in, we had to remove a cement/rock border along part of the driveway.
I see the pieces every time i come down the driveway, and for some reason, I am not wanting to just “get rid of them”.. they stand there like our own version of Easter Island “statues”.. waiting… watching.. standing guard
There are still pieces like this along the front edge of the property. They have been there for years, and are very much part of the landscape. the iron fence seems to be very much in harmony with them. They just “are”
You can just barely see the top of one if you look along towards the fence. Not wanting to disturb the blue spruce the rest of the edging will stay where it is.

Finally the colour is appearing along the fence and in our backyard. On my way to Orleans this afternoon, I was again delighted by the colour the lined the highway. This time I was taking another way in, I was driving by farmland, fruit stands, and even a golf course. So I enjoyed the contrast of colour against the manicured shades of green on the course itself.
Norm (Thursday Doors) I did wonder, if this could be considered a “kind of” door. After all it does symbolize the ending of life here on earth, and the journey to another “dimension”. After a brief dialogue with myself .. I passed on the idea… but I did like the picture.
I like discovering old resting places… some are a tad sad due to neglect… but if you see beyond the disrepair .. you discover wonderful works of art, and interesting sentiments Mother Nature has a way of adding her own decorative etchings and colouring on the tombstones.
You all know how much I love the play of light and shadows, in the fall, the darkness deepens, and I can lose myself in the depth of imagination and vegetation that has started to decay. Life is beautiful in all stages.
I have no idea, where this is, or how this picture found its way into the folder I was viewing.. but.. hey it is a door and by jove, it is Thursday
Tomorrow, I am having my second eye done.. (how many does she have you ask.. even I wonder at times).. so I will “see” you when I “see” you.
Have good days, peaceful nights, and I won’t say be good, I’ll say… live each moment, put your whole heart into it, and you will never have regrets.

PL Principle #21 – I will live paying careful attention, putting Makoto (sincerity) into all I say and do
The pumps are gone, the mechanics retired, but the building remains… this little lot is perched on the corner where two secondary roads intersect. (see below) I liked its character. =^_^=
What were the cars it serviced in its “hay” day. The following cars were in a collection that I found in New Hampshire, this was one of the nicest and well maintained displays I’ve seen in many a day.
check out the bee on the bonnet. What a restoration! You will find these “ladies” at
Kancamagus Collectables on the Kancamagus Hwy, Rte 112 between Rte 3 and 1 -93, North Woodstock, NH. USA ( 603-745-0915 ) for those of you who saw the phone booth, it was in this location. Admission is free.
The vintage service center is in Madrid, New York, USA
Life is full of wonders. We need only look around us for the remnants of a time gone by. The world is a wonderful place, and we have had such a colourful and creative past. Today we live every day, starting each morning with a brand new canvas.

Pl Precept # 11 always be with God
I will live today with peace in my heart
and pray for everyone around me
that they too will have a good day.
First Impressions – we all have them, when we see something, we take it in and in seconds, we have an impression
No matter the impression, I find myself looking at the details, and the story the building tells me.
Sometimes, the impression is one that is a statement, and I “know” it is not a place that I want to visit or know too much about it. It has a facade that clearly says…”I’m here, don’t mess with me”
This oldie sat off the road, I had to get out and take a closer look, this is the back of the house. We tried to find out more about the house, it was for sale, we took the details, unfortunately, the seller, didn’t have a web site, and we were out of State by the time we were where we could look further into it. I’ve not forgotten, and given the time hope that we will discover more about the house, and the selling price.
What is the fascination, don’t really know… we are on the look out for a property in the States that we can easily get to, and tour from there. Maybe it is just a dream, its nice to be able to travel into the possibilities. Life is busy, it is nice to have a place to drift too
my travels take me to a lot of places, I thrill on them all. Each tells a story, each one is unique. I feel like that about people too. It is not what someone else tells me, it is what I “see” for myself.
The past may play a part in what a person, or place is “today”… however, we live in the now, and it is what you see and feel NOW that counts.
PL Principle #2 I will not have complaints about others, matters nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.
PL Principle #6 I will not be stubborn, being captured by my own thoughts.
PL Precept # 6 Efface your self conceptions.
What impression will you make on the world today?
Have a good day everyone…

I knew no one was home
so I took time to roam
explore, and enjoy the decor
she’s had her doors done up out of wood
I turned to the Ford
I admit it had a charm
and, it wasn’t in a barn
this is the babe
who welcomed us in
when these ladies, give with the charm
I can’t help but beam
with delight
I raise a glass to the bad ass
owners who track them down
and give them new life
PL Precept #7 Everything exists in relativity
each picture, shows a piece of art, someone made time, to reconstruct, or build
these gems for us to enjoy.
on my part, appreciation, and gratitude is sent out to them for their time and efforts
just reliving my visit brought back a big smile.

To achieve a quiet heart, so that we can live in greater harmony with the world around us, takes an effort. In life, when we are balanced, grounded, we are capable of better decisions, and more effective results to our actions.
If we are active, when we should be at rest, then when it is time to act, we are often ill prepared. We can miss opportunities that had we been rested and ready, would have been easy to deal with.
For the last many days I have been living with a sinus infection. Ok it is not the end of the world, however, when the symptoms gang up on me, I really do find myself leaning towards,a complaining mind. (that is not the right way/direction to go)
Like a hamster in a cage, running, running on my wheel, running and getting nowhere. After chasing around looking for a clinic that was open today, I finally gave up and came home. I will take the time to reflect on just why this physical annoyance is giving me grief.
It is said, that the “superior” person, first achieves quiet heart, and then acts. Hmmmmp I have some serious winding down to do, 1st step, when my body says rest, I need to listen.
