Green

the subtle shades of green

weave a gentle pattern through my dream…

my body stirs, as I sense the life around me

birds sing, a squirrel chatters from a tree

and a ray of sunshine finds its way to my face

what is this place

so, calm, so surreal

I know it is part of me, for I am totally

embraced by the beauty

and serenity that gracefully permeates

my total being….

this moment, this time in space

it is real, it is not a dream,

it is my communion with God

the bonding and reconnection

to what is real

Every day, I look for inspiration for my meditation/prayer and this blog. Today I travelled to Scotland, I’ve not been personally but my sister and nephew have, both have come back with stories and pictures of a magical place.

I also found this text, by Peekytoe Crow, the picture that will follow the text is what inspired this person to write what they did. His/her words are worth sharing with you today.

People universally tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will maybe descend upon you like fine weather if you are fortunate enough. But that’s not how happiness works. Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it…

This was my next find.

I love being open to what the day will bring my way. Sometimes I’m ready for it, other times I may not be, but how wonderful it is that from day-to-day a new canvas, new opportunities appear. In everything we strive to do, maintain makoto (sincerity) in your heart, the Universe/God will see you through today and beyond. Always and Forever.

a story

It was wild, it was fierce, the wind and rain pelted viciously against the window, there was nothing to do but wait.

Thunder rumbled across the angry sky, I could feel the shuddering of the wooden floor in the little cabin, as the storm picked up its tempo. Across the bay I could see lights flickering along the shoreline. Everything was blurred by an almost solid curtain of falling rain. A loud staccato filled the air, a sharp piercing light filled the sky as yet another bolt of lightning shot across towards the distant shore.

Suddenly there was quiet, the lights across the bay had all gone out. It was silent, and it was black.

The all-encompassing passion of the storm had passed. Where before, the rage, the immediate explosion of emotion had grabbed all of my attention. Now I was alone again with my thoughts. For a time I had fed on the energy that surrounded me, now it was time to listen to the quiet.

Such is life. Each day is a new beginning. How you handle each circumstance that appears before you, will determine the outcome. Storms are necessary to clear the air .. storms return balance to an atmosphere that has become toxic. Life is for living. No more…. No less….

To You Who searches

High on a hill you stand

feeling the majesty of the land

Nature in her rainbow mantle

smiles back peacefully

bathed in the golden warmth of day

yet, in your heart you feel a tug and rattle…

What is this overpowering feeling

that time after time draws you here…

To sit alone perched on sculptured granite

high above… and hidden well away

a single, solitary figure

overshadowed by the festive maples

mighty oaks and whispering pines…

Looking out through searching eyes

thirsting for the meaning of “Divine”

lazily a cloud drifts by

a lacy swirl of powder white

against a sky of innocent blue

look at you…

questions, questions,questions, is this all you do!

a search for the truth is a lifelong task

when you look out, instead of within…

listen to the symphony of life

feel… experience… with your total being

prayer/meditation will remove illusions

so that in this mortal world of questions and answers

you will discover and realize a simple truth…

The natural universe, in essence

is a mirror image, and the awe and wonder

simply… a true communion with self …

Tao

I had forgotten that there was a time when my work was copyright, etc., now I’m looking for the series of short stories I did at that time too. Mollie I may have some that aren’t adult reading =^_^=

In cleaning up today, looking for my lost cheque book, I had to empty out all the files in the cabinet drawer and begin the physical task of looking through each file folder. (This happens when one starts to do a clean up because the compter hard drive needed to be taken in for a check up.)

In PL we learn that when we take notice of something, an idea takes form in our noggin, its time to pay attention. LOL right now that for me means, sorting through old files.

When all the world is quiet around you

When only the sound of nature us there to soothe you

do you hear my voice at all

seeing the roots exposed, then leading back down unto the ground

do you wonder at how that tree stands so tall

I am, here you know

in every blade of grass,

in every branch that reaches for the sky

in every crystal grain of sand

You need only look around you, to see me

all around, and yes, that bird calling

and the chattering of the squirrels, those are all my sounds

for I am the world around you

You live where?

I’ve heard the expression, it’s just “a hole in the wall”, but this house in Vals, Switzerlannd, is certainly different. For sure you are not in view of your neighbours, and you are not disrupting the surrounding landscape. I also wondered what the view out was…

This house is in Trassenheide, Germany, and if you think that it is a stand alone, it isn’t. There are many more such homes in other parts of the world. Why anyone would like to live in a house that appears to be upside down, I don’t know, but if you research it, there are such homes, and people do love them, live in them and enjoy them.

This next picture has nothing to do with houses/architecture, but it is an interesting find. don’t scroll down right away … see if you know what it is.

The above is called a mortdsafe and is a unique Scottish invention. It came about in the 18th and 19th centuries to prevent grave robbing. Scotland was rampant with body snatching, thus a way to crate and deter. Examples have been found close to Scottish medical schools.!!

This delightful build in Tokyo, Japan, is by architect Yasuhiro Yamashita,crowded cities, with small lots means that creativity is a must. Home is where the heart is, home is what you make it. No matter where you live or how you live, it is what or where you chose to be … or why are you there. We can enjoy other landscapes, we can travel the world, we can fly, take boat cruises, there is a lot to see when we venture outside our familiar environments. In the end though, no matter where we land, we are always still ourSELVES. No physical distances or weird and unique inventions will take away the fact, that you are who you are. How you adorn your life, is of no matter, when you look in the mirror, it is YOU, you will see.

Tianzi Mountain, so uniquely tall and thin, they were used by James Cameron in the filming of the movie “Avatar”. Some of the columns of stone pillars have reached over 4,000 feet above sea level.
