tick one more item off my bucket list. meet my forever dragon.
I have been a lifetime living with a mystical dragon who roamed the galaxy .. coming home from time to time to tell of his adventures or to lend support. Yesterday the wonderful tat artist from Brisbane, Australia was back in Ottawa (Samantha Read).. I was one of the fortunate ones able to book with her for this visit. Thank you Sam, I have waited a long time for my dragon to appear. You can see Sam’s work on Instagram,https://www.instagram.com/samreadtattoos/ she travels the globe, who knows you may be lucky and she will be headed your way at some time. Tats are not for everyone, you remember when I got my bee those many years ago. It was a big step for me… but I took it… and with that first step, came many “adventures”. I stepped out of my comfort zone, and found a whole new world of possibilities.

I am here even tho’ I’ve been boarded up … I can still see you as you pass me by… no longer interested in how I’m doing … I miss the sunny smiles, and the cheerful greetings of passersby … It isn’t my fault that fate happened, and I was made redundant.. .. Everyone is in such a rush today, always in a hurry, or looking at some object in their hand… I once had flower beds under me, I could watch as each planting grew each year from budding babies to beautiful petals in such an array of delightful colours. Visitors would stop to admire the flowers and always there would be a smile my way .. Alas that was another day,
As we age, we do see and live through changes, Some changes are life changing, and there is no going back. The reality is.. there IS NO GOING BACK… we can revisit the place, but not the time.

Good morning everyone, today being Thursday I’m sharing a couple of doorways that I found along the St Lawrence (the river between Canada and the USA) It was a beautiful day for a drive .. a friend and i had an “outing” … there is a food stop along the hwy that runs along the river to Cornwall. It was a lovely day for a drive. the hamburgers are actually made with real meat patties,,, the fries are delicious. everything is made fresh on the spot, Rather than just sit and visit, we explored and enjoyed the beautiful day, Bonus,, I found some great welcoming doors.

Update .. my car came back to me yesterday, it was detailed and repaired, it looks factory new. Smells like a new car The dealer (Surgenor GM Ottawa ) did an amazing job of repairing it and getting it back to me as soon as possible. Their customer service team goes above and beyond when it comes to looking after a client’s needs. We all hear the advertisements, but this is a team that provides and excels at looking after their customers.. remember how they helped when my car rebelled on me when I was out in the woods…
The Service Advisor who looks after my car when it goes in, for regular maintenance and other required services is excellent at what he does, And it is not just him, it was so busy when my car had its breakdown, a member of the mgmt. team gave of his time to help out. No wonder everyone who uses Surgenor has only praise for the service they provide Whether it was the car jockey or one of the mechanics they are tops! The critters did the car in, chewing wires and whatever else they could get at.. but the staff at Surgenor saved the day! Kevin (service advisor) thank you.. you wore your super hero cape again!

I am continually learning from the animals in the forest. You can think you are alone, and there is not another living soul for miles around… Not so. There could be many eyes on you. The animals/birds practice stillness. It can go from very active to total silence .. when a bird/animal of prey wanders into the area.
I came across a midnight clear . Then woke to a morning bright

It was COLD yesterday morning, the blue jays were puffed up as they patiently waited for me to throw down their morning treat of peanuts in a shell. They do tackle the whole corn kernels and kibbe/sunflower seeds, but its the peanuts that they favour, Enthusiastic diners! With a prowling “eat you up” bird in the neighbourhood, I stayed with them ,.. going back and forth to my car to the various feeders which gave them the time to have breakfast … The “merlin” (Falco columbarius) is a small species of falcon that preys on the smaller birds. Another reason that I sometimes sit with them while they dine.. (mornings when it is as cold as it was yesterday, there are/were no other “human” visitors to be seen or heard from. it was Blissful!

Girls wanna have fun. Remember when we played dress up.. what movies do you watch, what captures your imagination.. Today everyone has license to dress up and have fun, its Halloween. People add colour and fun to their appearance to go to work, wear costumes representing a popular game character, or super hero, there have been parties going on all weekend. You got a costume in mind?

It has been raining these past few mornings, still the little ones come for breakfast, Photographer Jim Robertson was out the other morning, and captured these two regulars. (https://adobe.ly/3QB6AOc ) It never fails to amaze me how sweet and friendly the little critters are. The Chipmunks can be hard to see as they gather up the corn, nuts, seeds amongst the leaves. The nuthatch can be bold… but usually behaves when strangers come by,
