life is

Life is ever changing… I love the fall because it is so vibrant … it is nature’s way of celebrating the pending changes… For us here in Canada, October is when the holidays begin.. Thanksgiving.. then the fun Halloween event… moving us into the American Thanksgiving followed by the spirit of December and the Holidays that come during that month.

I had occasion to ponder something I read the other day, another writer posted a quote about how no matter how far we travel, how many holidays we take, we can never escape from ourSELVES If you are unhappy at home or with your life, going on a trip to the south of France, or driving across the Province is not going to change the source of your unhappiness. If being happy depends on someone else’s input/sharing of/ into your life. The unhappiness and the feeling of loneliness/emptiness will still be with you.

Being happy is a state of mind… being content is a blessing. Being thankful and grateful for the wonders of life, and the beauty of self discovery is an ongoing journey. It is not the destination it is the journey…

When you are with someone and you are content/happy, it is not the other person making you happy, it is your happiness and contentment in being with them. Their happiness is yours … that is why it is so important to smile from the heart and extend your love of life to others.

When you face difficulties start with anything you can do. When you are able to grasp the situation, you will surely be able to notice something that you can do.

10-10

Good morning, when you see double numbers such as 10:10, the universe is practically shouting to get your attention… Love in abundance!!! With the fall colours right now you can feel the world is vibrant. if you have a guardian angel right now.. he/she is helping you with encouragement and confidence you need to explore territories and areas unknown to you. We are encouraged to move forward, luck and prosperity is in the air. =^_^= Bom dia!!!

It is easier to adapt to something when we find it interesting. No matter how enjoyable a situation is, a slight change in our attitude can make it boring. Let’s face any situation with curiosity and enthusiasm.

When we saw 10 10 we used to say, we would be receiving unconditional love from the Universe. It was a very positive sign. I wish you all a wonderful week.

Sunday musings

Today I woke to a very cool morning. Cold .. in that it is only 40 something degrees F. which means it is cold enough to need a proper jacket if I am to get a walk in before church this morning. At 5 something it is also dark outside. the world might be bright with gold and crimson colours, but days are getting shorter… It is a more of an effort to jump up out from the warm comfort of the bed and make my way to the office/studio.

Inspiration will be that once up, I can share time with you before I actually leave the house .. drive to the woodlands, feed the birds, walk the bog (time permitting) and get to the church shortly after 9.. Service is at 10 a.m. Can you tell I am a morning person, Bom dia a todos!!!!

Express yourself clearly so others can understand you. When you can’t communicate clearly it can lead to problems. Always express yourself carefully to avoid any misunderstandings.

Think “now is the Time” Instead of “It’s no use now” Don’t give up by thinking its too late. Tell yourself that there is more that can be done.

Pillow Poems

Dewberry P 23

Don’t let circumstances sway your decision. It does not help to overthink things. Sometimes we just need to make up our minds and move forward.

Perfect Liberty 2022.6

Pillow Poem.. I had not heard that expression before. Another blogger used it as a heading for one of her poems she posted. It rather struck me as being rather appropriate for some of the musings and thoughts I have had over the years. We learn something new everyday, anyone else ever heard or used this saying?

Lately I have been having lots of talks, thoughts and dreams on my non existent pillow ( I detest them, can’t seem to find them comfortable in any way shape they come in….) I gave up years ago, I use a towel rolled up under my neck. omg am I hearing cranky in my tone… it is far too early … time to get out and into the woods.

Have a good day everyone. If you are lucky enough to live where the fall weather is colouring the leaves and the landscapes are brilliant with colour… enjoy!!

fall colours

The blue jay was not going to be intimidated.. you can see his blue behind the wild turkeys who once they discovered that there was “food’ on the ground, were not keen on moving off or away. They ran off at first, but one plucky one turned back to see just what was being offered. Once he discovered this was a mega of food, he applied himself to the task of eating all he could before the others realized why he was not following them.

It was very interesting to see how when the others saw he was not coming, he was busy eating .. there was no hesitation on most of their parts… to join him. Some did go off, not all were prepared to back track. Mind you they stayed in sight… just deemed not to return to the feeding area. I took myself off to walk the boardwalk, it was cool, but bright… I hoped to get a few fall colours in.

ps. wasp sting symptoms, still happening after 6 days.

The fall colours are just getting going, they are spectacular so far.. Being in Canada with its 4 seasons is a blessings and wonder!!

Wasp sting

Stretched out on a sunny bench enjoying a sunny day, clear blue skies, being totally lazy and enjoying the afternoon sun after the cooler morning weather.. was on the pier surrounded on all sides by water except for the small walkway that led from the shore to this cement pier out from the boat launch. I was happily minded my own business when I heard a buzzing near my left ear…. I reached up to brush it away from my hair/ear when this stabbing pain shot through my arm. Instant , and I mean instant searing pain. I shot up into a sitting position, but couldn’t see a thing. it was a hit and run…

If you have experienced a wasp/bee sting yourself, I need not go into detail, if you haven’t.. don’t go looking for it… Fortunately Bonnie had finished her walk and had arrived back to where I was.. we went to a drugstore right away to get something to deal with the pain, It was not something to ignore.. I looked for a stinger but didn’t see one… just a finger that was swelling and getting red. “after Bite” is the product they sold me at the pharmacy. When I got home I immediately took two Bendery allergy pills.

Having google has its benefits.. It was interesting that yes the area got all red but you could see a white dot where I had been stung… just like it was explained when I did the google search. One learns something new .. all the time.

I was told in the pharmacy that there were a lot of wasps in the area, it seems this is the season for them, the yellow jacket. was known for being plain vicious biting, just because.

Today’s PL calendar quote..

Let’s have a humble mind. Once you think, “That’s good enough,” you become blind to the opportunities to be more creative.

wasp sting.. wash affected area with warm water and soap, this removes any poison/venom that could be left on the skin, use an antibiotic with properties to help with the sting and the itching, if you have allergy pills take one/two….the pain and stinging sensation lasts for a couple hours to 4 or 5. The internet is full of info on how to deal with a sting.. if you suffer from severe reactions see a doctor right away. Especially if you have problems with your breathing. The symptoms could hang around for a couple of days… yeah.. on the positive, I learned something new.. it has been years since I’ve had to endure a sting…

Thursday doors

Which door beckons to you today? What story/impression does it call to you as you drive/walk by?

Life is a series of opportunities, we are always being given opportunities or presented with a puzzle or challenge, some we rejoice in experiencing, others we arrive and have no idea how we did so. Did we enter with an open mind, did we see the moment present itself and let it go by…. or simply walk through without even looking.

In my part of the world right now, even tho’ it is only September, the fall colours are already in many places in full blown colour. I saw a magnificent sight along the road the other day, but the road was so busy with traffic coming both ways.. I could but admire…. the tips of the leaves were a deep crimson red, the rest of the leaf was a golden yellow, yet near the stem the edges were still an emerald green. when next I drive by… well… who knows..

Service tonight at 7 pm. for those of you who can make it to the church, if not please pray with us from home. 29th is PL Anniversary Day, the ceremony where we express our appreciation to our Founders and the Oshieoya-sama that followed.

Are you overdoing things? Not only do you harm yourself when you overdo things, but you may be imposing on others as well.

Turkey Vulture

Dirk Haukenfrers -2020

It is not fun to be stuck in One Place. Instead of being captured by what’s in front of you, strive to broaden your horizons.

Prefect Liberty 2022.28

Yesterday coming out of the Mer Bleue along the road that brings me out to the highway from the conservation area… the wild turkeys were doing their usual foraging enjoying the early morning quiet when a car came barreling down the road. This is a no exit road, it ends at the bog. The turkeys were making their way across the road, had to be over a dozen of them… I was slowed to a stop on my side of the road, when I saw the car. I waved to caution the driver.. but she didn’t stop, she did slow somewhat, but not really, the turkeys fortunately cleared a path for her. I guess they have had experience with uncaring humans.

I had to ask myself, what or why would someone be coming into a conservation area where people come to enjoy the quiet and solitude, to share with the animals in the beauty and bounty of nature – and have such a disregard for the critters that call this home. Of course, I had just left the parking area a few minutes past, and knew that there was a group gathering there of “seniors” who were going to be touring the bog. Several cars had already arrived for the 9 o’clock meeting time, and stragglers had been arriving the last 10, 15 minutes before I left. My guess is the rude driver was late .. and was bent on getting to the parking lot before the others took off. Not impressed.

No, the turkeys were wild turkeys and not the turkey vulture you see above.. Dirk took that picture a few years back and had graciously given me permission to use it. Isn’t he /she a beauty. When I went looking for a picture of the actual wild turkey, I spied this one and had to share.. I don’t understand myself how I’ve come to be so fascinated by the turkey type birds… but… there you have it… they aren’t even cuddly. Life is what it is… we don’t pick who or what we fall in love with.

There is that word.. L O V E …. let’s spread it around today… sprinkle it in all our actions..

Oyashikiri

When love becomes a habit and part of our every thought and action… life becomes a JOY that enriches all our moments.
