Thursday Door … to find a treasure of doorways from Europe taken by wandering photographer MC. (this is a barn building I see every day as I drive to and from conservation area.)
Always be humble. If you work on things with the attitude of asking a favor, people around you will advise you what they have noticed, There is something in fact you are not aware of that you do.

Listen carefully and speak clearly. A good relationship starts from truly understanding each other.
Listening is an ‘ART’… on my walks I listen… for nothing in particular, it is an exercise… being quiet and listening to my surroundings. When I began this exercise many moons ago, I found that my thoughts would often vie for my attention. The chatter could get rather annoying, with time, I learned to accept and let go of the thoughts that pushed to the front for attention.
An interesting “realization” came one day when I noticed that when the chatter ceased to be a nuisance, I “saw” things more clearly. In my walks I saw the smallest details in the over crowded vegetation, like the lens on my camera.. details became visible, giving broader perspectives. My mind took visual pictures that translated themselves into sometimes verbal, other times nonverbal moments of awareness.
Listen to others until the end, If you put your thoughts first, you will not be able to listen to others until the end. Firstly, listen to others to the end and understand them well.

Take time, make time…. to stop during the day… just stop… close your eyes… and take in the moment. No reason, just because. It will be the pause that refreshes. Smile you are being wrapped with a warm hug of love and appreciation.
Time to harvest and gather in the supplies. The cooler weather is on its way, some mornings there is a nip in the air. The little ones are not wasting any time gathering when I put out the feed. The woodland floor becomes alive with little chipmunks and squirrels. The chipmunks are little darlings, they can stuff a peanut on either side of their mouth and still get a third one in before they scamper off to fill their larder.
Depending on where you are, there are areas where the colours are so vibrant they scream out , daring you not to notice, while other areas are still slow to change.

Special prayers this morning for the people struggling in NY city who have had to and are dealing with the rain that fell yesterday, It was a moment in time that wreaked a lot of havoc.
My Mother had a dream, she wanted a round house, when finally it was being built for her, her husband passed away. He had been the builder of this dream house. My Mother lost two husbands, my father when I was only 10 and she had two other young girls, my sisters at the time would have been 6 and the youngest maybe 2. My Dad has been the provider, he worked and she was the home-maker, back then … this was life. The woman stayed home to raise the family
A young widow she had to go out into the world and find employment and keep her family together. Not an easy task. But with the help of friends, she managed, she found work with the government, and worked her whole life dedicated to providing for her family. This house, was to be her retirement it was on the banks of the Ottawa River, nestled in the hills, away from city life.
We can dream and we can plan for the future, but… the lesson I have learned in life is that each moment counts, and tho’ we plan for another day, the reality is… that day may never come. My Mother passed away a few months before my husband passed away, so its been about 6 years now.. she was in her very late 90’s. She never talked of what was, and she never complained. If ever I needed an example of stoic, that was my Mom.
Life can be very fragile. We should never take it for granted. If anything, I learned that today should always be important, Make every second count,
“Now” is always the start of something new. Leave the past in the past. What is important is “what you are going to do now.” Using the present as a starting point, move forward on a path towards improvement and progress.

Good or Bad, it is your mirror. Sincere expressions invite good results, but insincere expressions can lead to unexpected trouble.

I went back years later to see if the old house still stood, I titled the photo. When dreams die.
OK I resisted putting in a winter theme picture, but last night… I have no idea why, a song came up in my head, we have all been there, and nothing would do but I find the song and listen to it properly. Did I find it yes and no. I found all kind of versions, but the one I was hunting for. I did find this one, https://youtu.be/5Aa_9ruWPnA?si=7wTQRxR1f7fMU6BC … it was the sax part that I wanted to hear… Anyway, I searched for a good hour or more, in the end I did find a version I remembered but by then I was too tired and had missed my falling asleep moment. Not everyday/night is a perfect.. pleasant dreams night … where you wake up all sunshine bright next morning.
I should have had my scallop snack, they provide serotonin and magnesium .. my cooking pals out there.. I’ve become a scallop fiend I want them 3, 4 times a week, LOL Gail rolling your eyes… I simply rinse them. drop them in a pot of boiling soup stock, drain them .. cool them and pop them like popcorn. (the wee ones) the bigger ones I sear ..in butter and garlic. No.. I know, there is no hope for me.
Be grateful for everything.. If you see everything as material to express gratitude, you can encounter a number of opportunities you are grateful for.

Change is in the air … “the only constant in life… is change”.
Strive to Overcome obstacles by changing your mind frame. Things don’t always go as planned. When that happens, try changing how you look at the situation or how you are doing things. The outcome is in your hands.

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of you who reached out and wished me a happy birthday. That is a huge positive in one’s journey when we are blessed with the kindness and thoughtfulness of others. Special hugs to you, filled with appreciation and gratitude.
Leaves have started to change, there is a new nip to the air that hints that it won’t be long, already the days are shorter. When I wake up now, 5 ish, it is still dark outside. There are still pesky mosquitos lingering, but soon I am hoping to see the last of them.. man they are annoying.
PL Principle #2 I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.(always a work in progress for me)
How is your start to a week-end? Hopefully you will enjoy not only good weather but some of the fall fairs and concerts that are happening around the city.
Your willingness to learn will make you shine even brighter. As long as you are motivated to learn more, you will continue to progress in life.

Express your feelings straight away. It will be good if you could express your feelings as they are to people around you, when you are happy or when you are troubled. also it will be a good chance for you to get to know others,
