PL Precept #20 Live maintaining equilibrium between mind and matter.

Thanks Chris for permission to use this photo, it reminded me of the many places that I explored with my husband during the lazy summer days of June, July… we’d seek out these out of the way, off the main road little pieces of paradise.

Not one of the trees in the wilderness are the same, each finds its place in the sun and thrives the best it can. Together they present a unified front, against a backdrop of blues skies and fluffy sculptures of cloud.

The cooling waters and unique shoreline, all combine to welcome the visitor, with awe inspiring vistas. Crystal clear air, a melody of natures songs filter through the day. It is peaceful, and when we take time to simply BE in this environment, are inner smile expands.. Our cares, our concerns vanish..

PL Precept # 11 Always be with God.

It is only natural that you are different from others. Each of us has our own way of thinking and our own individual lifestyles. That’s what makes life interesting.

Same bed, different bed cover, same lazy laid back whippet …Nothing new goes down, without his checking it out, for comfort. Ceiling fan is over head, he is content.. I have permission to leave on my errands.

When something comes to mind, do it right away. The moment that you notice, something is the best time to take care of it. IF YOU REACT QUICKLY, YOUR LIFE WILL BE MORE EFFICIENT.

machine Sunday

I saw this cutie the other day, I not only was captivated by her “cuteness” I like the shadows of the tree on the wall of the new home being built. Hard/soft. This morning when I opened my mail I found a blog by a fellow blogger who I so enjoy..

https://milfordstreet.wordpress.com/2020/06/14/spring-planting/comment-page-1/#comment-32058 When I saw his little beauty.. I decided I would share my little Bobcat.

In a sharing conversation last night with a fellow “hokyoshi” (minister) in PL, Perfect Liberty, and a friend in Japan also PL (Minister’s wife) we talked of our concern .. how we need to work harder to maintain a personal connection with our members and other people in society. It is so easy to avoid being social, or interacting with another fellow human being – using the possible threat of an illness to hide from life.

You only need look at the media hype, and the listen to any kind of broadcast to get your fill of accusations, finger pointing, 1001 ways to avoid being near or around anyone else. There is competition in every quarter, the political scenes around the world.. all … centered on criticism, and negativity.

Machines, as cute as they are, and/or as efficient as they can be, need a human to work them. They function but do not have a “heart”. We are not machines, we are not robots, nor are we capable of really existing without humans in our life, Not roles.. ie. doctor, lawyer, teacher, we are not the titles of our occupation, we are born to live.. to embrace life, and to share in the bounty of nature.

“let us deepen our faith in togetherness..” let peace and harmony find its place in our lives.. so that we are rainbows, mirrors that reflect goodness and love. We are all unique and we all have something to bring to the THANKSGIVING table.

thank you Steph! love you.

deafening silence

the waiting

Along an open highway, I came across a long forgotten saw mill, and the adjoining lumber yard.

what a beautiful reminder of what was.. a story of activity of rumbling trucks, long beds of logs coming to to processed.
I stood in the silence of the day, taking in the beauty of the old structure. A man came to ask me if I was OK, could he help me with anything? I thanked him.. I appreciated his request, but nothing will bring back the past, or the honest toil and labout of men/women who worked side by side to bring us what we now go to big box stores to pick out for our projects.

I do remember the days when the logs would be merrily making their way down the river to the saw mill. Men would be out along the banks with long handles picks. During fairs we even had log rolling contests, everyone stood, cheering the contestants on. Nature was so much a part of our lives.

I was impatient with my sister yesterday, do I recall just why. No… but in my defense, the silence of the last many months, of voices, friendly conversations, and welcoming smiles of strangers along the roads travelled. Has left me rather empty. I am tired of always hearing only about destruction, violence, disregard for humanity, negativity, yes there has been and is a “problem” – WE – are all affected by it. But I refuse to have it the center of my life, and my reason for living is not to live in fear, distrust, and self exile.

Part of the saw mill grounds are being used by another company.

Life, the world, will continue to evolve and nature will continue its cycle of rebirth and renewal. My hope, my prayer is that we as people will once again resurface and the values of love, family and community, will emerge and be stronger then ever. Silence can be music to our hearts and souls when it is listened to with an open, caring heart. Stand up and be heard, it is time for PEACE ON EARTH and GOODWILL towards all.

dangerous

photo-Hillwalker,DarrenSu 2019

Are you in danger, of falling in love.. how about.. laughing so hard it hurts, or … meeting some one new who thinks so much like you do, they know what you are thinking almost before you do.

Risk taking, do you take risks. Would you take risk going down an unfamiliar street just because you had never gone down that street before? Are you a person who will explore that hidden alley, go down that country road to an unknown location? Can you remember the last time you stopped to talk to a complete stranger, just to have a friendly chat?

Do you or have you missed someone who you used to spend a lot of time with … until distance, or interests took you in other directions. Driving a car is and can be dangerous until you learn and know how to do so… Even then you are not always in control of “how ” the journey will proceed.

Living is risk taking, living can be dangerous, I think we have all had a bit of that learning curve in recent times…. Have you discovered new beginnings, have you rediscovered new qualities in your friends, family, surroundings, that have given you pause … Can you now define, the “dangers” in your life (lifestyles).. A dear friend said over the week-end, many of us have forgotten that love is a commitment. Got me thinking, it is often thought of as a feeling. (which we try to categorize, define, squeeze into a box of a predetermined definition) … the reality, it is a commitment, very personal, and to each one of us, it holds unlimited possibilities. Always for everyone, there is danger.. Love will always, bring change.. change is impossible to avoid – There you go.. you are a risk taker..

Love you loads and loads and loads.

Put your whole heart into everything and express your individuality. When you put your whole heart into expressing yourself, your true beauty will shine through.

sound of silence

Pennsylvania USA

Is there a sound to grief. When a loved one dies.. leaves our world leaving us to adjust to continuing on the journey on our own. No one told me of “grief attacks”or the immediate excruciating pain that can be triggered by a “memory”

I was not told to expect exhaustion and disruption, I was told that early grieving is perhaps the hardest work you will ever do.

Without your former companion, you no longer have a “mirror” to reflect back to you who you are and what you want in life. Now only you can furnish the answers by getting to know yourself.

-Dorothy Edgerton, ( learningto live alone)

We experience so many emotions after a loved one passes, when we think surely life is leveling … we are hit with an ongoing echo.. of loss, pain, and a fresh waves of grief.

Grieving requires an enormous energy, but pretending that you are not grieving requires even more.

It is important to say “Thank you” Everything that appears in front of you is all material for you to improve yourself whether it i’s food, people or things. Learn to accept everything, whether it is something you like or not.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE NEVER GOES AWAY -it transforms from season to season. You may not always see or hear it. But like the steady beating of your heart, it lives within you and permeates all of you, forever and always

Busy

fallen soldier

I saw this tree – lying there supported by the under growth. My first reaction is to go in and pull it away from the younger trees, the newer growth. I would have had to have my work gloves with me, and proper footwear, but at another time, without the dogs with me. I would have attempted to rectify the situation.

Years have passed in my life, and I now recognize that the “solder” is down, and my limitations are what IS in that moment. Nature will deal with the situation, and in her own time frame, with the assistance of the “world” around.. either workmen who come in to clear, or the animals in the forest who jump over or trample a path nearby.. the aging process… decay.. whatever, it will heal itself. Life does that.

I need to take care of me, and look more at what my needs are. What I can do something about. See the tender young shoots that are breaking through, eager for a new season of growth. Even though the day was not perfect for sunny pictures…. my camera captured, what WAS at that moment, and for me that was “perfect”

Take on the task even though you’re busy You’re busy because you are needed. Actively, positively and creatively juggle yur time to fit the new task in.

Perfect Liberty 2020.7

I would like to take this opportunity tho thank my readers, friends, and loved ones, who share this journey with me. Without you. Life would not be the JOY it is. You are my “blessings” I so appreciate you.

Stick with it

Don’t give up! Stick with it, as many times as it takes

Sometimes you want to just throw in the towel and say, “I give up” but that’s the time for you to dig deep and push through. Your sincere effort will invite a good outcome.

there are many paths we can take, choose wisely

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.
