Canada Geese

What can I say, I went out without a camera, the Nikon and the Canon were left hanging on their hooks… never even entered my mind to have them with me. Then I found myself alone in the sun with two Canada Geese who were happy to spend time with me preening and dining. I got to see the underside of the bird as it dived down to forage from the lake bed. No camera and none of my photographer friends in sight. Thankfully I had my cell (Samsung) so I did manage a couple of pictures, and I took a couple of videos.. however, I have no idea how to transfer them from the phone to my PC… eventually.. I’ll get there. =^_^=

An hour on my own with them before other humans came along, and they took flight. There is something to be said about experiencing the “wild” and the natural “harmonies” that abound in nature with out the jarring sounds that humans and their “toys” make.

You’re happy. I’m happy. Have the mindset of “good for you, good for me” Express yourself in a way that makes others happy.

Listen carefully and speak clearly. A good relationship starts from truly understanding each other.

Sometimes, one is engulfed in a sadness or an over powering emotion that simply defies definition. There is not always a black and white solution. A caring partner/listener will do his/her best to not only listen to what is being said, but to read between the lines, about what is not being said.

The longer a friendship exists, the more the other person can understand and or relate to what their friend is going through, how much that person will actually “say out loud” and /or even acknowledge. Caring isn’t something we can pretend to do, sincerity in word/action is something that cannot be “faked”.

“Listen” and “see” with careful attention and accept each other. Focus your “eyes” and “ears” towards the expression of others without preconceived notions. Then you will be able to see their true intentions.

Q's Story Telling

Body language says a lot. What do we see here, we see a man trying to explain or at least get his partner/friend’s attention. From the pictures do you think she is even listening, is he talking and what he is saying is not being “heard”

His body language suggests he is in earnest, he wants her to listen to what he is trying to tell her.

Her body language shows that she is in protection mode, perhaps her feelings have been hurt, her arms are across her chest, her body is turned away, her legs crossed, suggest she is closing herself off.

When emotions are high, is probably not the best time to try to unravel a situation that has gotten “knotted”

In today’s world, couples/friends are finding that it can be difficult to be always in each other’s space. or the opposite…

Thursday doors

you are NOT scaring me off

This little guy was not going to give, not an inch. fresh sunflower seeds, peanuts .. come on give me a break woman, no way am I going to let you chase me away.

Such was the dialog I had with little ms. uppity here. I had not been to Mer Bleue for a bit, so after Dewberry, I went to see how things were .. I had food for the crows and now I think grackles… Today was the opposite of other times, there were more birds, and a good variety at Mer Bleue… while Dewberry was quiet.

the woodpeckers were very happy for the new feed

when I was leaving the ground you see here was full of birds, doves, blue jays, black birds, everyone was wanting the fresh seeds.

these two vagabonds were all over the place causing havoc , the one above on the tree, was not with these two.

WAITING

How many of us are spending time waiting. In my area, it seems that everyone around in different provinces or States have had their first, even some have had both of their shots. Meanwhile, we wait.

I’ve tried reading, I was as you know going out and feeding the birds, but now with the change in the weather, they are doing just fine.

Time is spent thinking, wondering when there will be a more balanced approach to how we spend our time, even catching up with friends in person, instead of by phone or virtual calls.

Even having the shot will not mean life will just return to “what it was” No, there will still be the need for masks and social distancing. Today there was segment on the radio about how the animals, especially dogs will adapt (not) when their humans return to working outside the home.

Now more than ever, we need to live being aware of the good, positive “things” “happenings” in our lives. The quote I posted yesterday, resonated with me then and even more today.

A thankful heart leads to happiness. When we really pay attention, we are surrounded by many things we can be thankful for, the society we live in, the kindness shown to us by others. You will be able to find true happiness when you can see and appreciate things.

Q's Story Telling

being a person . means having to always be ready

She thought she had put all thoughts of working again away. But, here she was back on the treadmill. She had committed to coming back at least a couple of days a week. Now the decision had to be made, which days of the week she was willing to give up.

Being retired meant she could come and go at her own leisure, now consideration would have to be how many hours she would have to dedicate to getting pictures done .. Q was not going to just let her drift in and out at her leisure. They were going to meet up again in a few days, she best be prepared ..

To make the transition easier, she had her hair cut… This length she felt would be easier to maintain, after…
