smiling?

Bom Dia, Good morning…

When I saw the fish …my first thought was.. by golly, he is smiling…. he is happy to be sharing a meal with someone who will appreciate him. Oh dear I see that is another fish on the plate beside him…. looks like there were diners who had to pick their way through that meal. Hope that wasn’t breakfast.

You guessed when it comes to meals, breakfast especially, I am rather decided on what will appeal to me. If I ask my friends what they had for breakfast, not one would give me the same kind of answer. Right now I am enjoying steel cut oats, but I know, it won’t be long and I will want my noodles .. what about you, do you dine at breakfast, or do you smile, drink your coffee and move on into your day….?

Smile being the key word. Begin each day with a smile

Don’t strain, don’t rush and don’t be greedy

When you are doing something you may rush things to get good results quickly. Instead relax and enjoy the process.

I drove today along a highway that was lined with the colours of fall. It wasn’t raining, but the clouds were overhead, the sun was not out. Still it was breathtakingly beautiful. I remember all the times, my husband and I had taken to the roads, so we could take in the kaleidoscope of colours. The world is such a magical place. Even though I have driven this road many times. every season, makes it appear to be brand new.

This Monday is the Canadian Thanksgiving, my heart was filled with gratitude, as I took in the myriad of crimsons, gold, greens and every colour in between. I have learned that love, pure unconditional love is reflected in nature. It is born, nurtured, and enjoyed, it evolves into a passion that transcends all earthly boundaries, till it evaporates into the Universe, showering the world with the eternal blessings of love forever after.

Thursday doors

Buildings and doors, what a wonderful fascination for me. Especially old doors with character. My friend Wei is traveling again, she loves being on the road in far off places, where I am content with the back roads here in Canada and the USA, Back and forth to China she has taken to including side trips to where ever strikes her fancy at the time. These pictures are from her current adventure.

yoda 3 Good morning, bom dia, a quick doodle, or sketch this morning, of a little character that has caught my fancy. You may or may not recognize Yoda, he was brave and intelligent, I like those characteristics. Above all I appreciate creativity and how when it is used for good, can do so much of a positive nature to the world around us.

Lately I have had to turn my attention away from watching media that (in my view) is negative and confrontational. We seem to no longer promote or share stories of goodwill, and /or positive interactions between the people who live on this planet. We seem to see only politics, religions (all man-made) and use them to batter the people who make up our communities. Our neighbours, friends, family, coworkers, why is it always, we against they/them, even within small units of people.

Watch the shift that will come, as the holiday season approaches, and the marketing goes into full gear. Then goodwill towards all will be played in the malls, over the media. glittering and shiny new toys and household gadgets will appear, Spend spend spend, then you will be happy…..right, till the bills come in

Yoda where are you, we need you now.. where are you with your clone troopers, come out of the fiction, we need you here and now. Evil isn’t in the skies and outer worlds, it is here, living amongst us now,

oh dear, oh dear, I am having a rant. quick my coffee, get me to a store so I can shop, change my focus…… unfortunately that is a temporary distraction. I still believe we need a Yoda. What do you think?

PL Principle #2 I will not have complaints about others,matters,nor the weather. Rather I will always be creativce and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

Obviously this will be my mantra for today. Blessings all, huge hugs.

Lego reality

lego harry potter fanastic beasts

Meet the Lego Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts Mini figures, this set can be purchased retail. In it you get the complete set of 22 Factory sealed character pieces. If you decide not to invest in the whole set, and try your luck at purchasing individually, then you have to take your chances and purchase a single pack, for 3.99 and hope you get the hero that you want. Otherwise you keep trying. I believe that the set in Canadian dollars is about 180$ give or take.

The figures are rather cute, the collector that I am thought, I want one. I liked the figure third from the left, front row. My first bag, I got Harry himself along with his owl, my second try I got #11 (yes they are numbered,) the character with the red hair and green uniform holding a tea cup. 2nd row, to the right of the other figure I would like, the one with the pointed ears.

My next bag I tore open to find that I got #6, he is standing behind the one I want, in the back row with the green plant. So far three tries, and each one is 3.99 with tax. Do you see where I am going with this. By the time I am done, trying to get the two or three that I want, I will likely end up paying for the cost of the full set. but then what do I do with the other figures?

They are darn cute, I see the attraction, my reality is, with arthritic fingers, and often diabetic numbness that visits these same fingers…. I ask myself if this is a collection that I really really want to start playing with. Of course the one option is that I find others who would want to trade. LOL.. somehow I think that the age group I usually “play” with, won’t have any interest in mini Lego figures.

Oh!!! I was smitten by the dragon and figures in Lego #75951 (Fantastic Beasts) why? One figure looks like a Chinese magistrate, and the other is a an older character who looks dignified with his white hair. Grindelwald’s Escape, it is 132 pieces, suggested for ages 7-14. Take the hyphen away and turn the numbers around, maybe…… the characters are Gellert Grindelwald, and the other is Seraphina Picquery I did get it, how long will it take for me to put 132 small pieces together. It is anyone’s guess. =^_^= will I try?

pomegranate paint October has arrived… Outubro 1… Bom dia

Yesterday I went in search of a colour of paint that would mix well with what I had to enhance the suggestion of blood. Dried blood. Luckily where I shop there is always someone to help and with my cohort Little Piglet, we spent a happy hour browsing and shopping. I know it is not often someone comes in looking for blood, but Isabelle, at Scrap En Mass (Alfred, Ontario) was up to the task. When you shop with a goal in mind, you are more easily able to describe what you want.

The ambience of the place is also a factor, the display of merchandise, the overall sense of creativity and fun that is generated by other customers. The time spent searching out, then playing with the items later, is always an interlude, that passes quickly, it is refreshing.

Greetings on Sunday

fright drucilla May the day shine brightly for you. Sunday and we are not having a service this morning, because of the service last evening. What does one do on a Sunday morning, when there is no service. I to Drucilla’s displeasure, decided to play with my paint and other supplies to start on a makeover for her. I have told her that this is therapeutic for both of us, but her silence tells me, …. it is all in my head.

Tomorrow begins another month. October. The leaves have started to change, when driving the back roads yesterday, I saw more sights of reds peaking through the evergreens. Actually not only the various shades of red, but the yellow orange hue were also taking over the fresh greens of the summer. The camera buffs who have been slumbering through the sweltering summer, will be polishing off their lenses to take full advantage of the fall display that will soon be in full bloom. I confess, I love, LOVE the autumn season, here in Canada where we get four different seasons, the fall months tantalize and delight me.

With that in mind I will be on the watch this morning, for “something” to catch my “eye” while I am out driving along the river, into rural Ontario. Some time, when you are inclined to do so, you must tell me how you mange to drive and “catch” that perfect moment, when there is other traffic on the road… =^_^=

If I could make this lesson, flash with neon lights, I would do so, I think the mice are back, or trying to come back in As you know, it took a long time to rid this house of the little “devils”…. So! mon ami, it looks like we will again, take on the capturing of mice.

I have spent my evenings with Poirot (Agatha Christie} audio books, so delightful!

sim entendo, yes I understand

Good morning, Bom dia dear friends. How often do we say these words, yet when we give it more thought, we realize that maybe we didn’t really “get it” or understand it, the way the person was explaining it to us. Because a lot of my creative expressions that are visual, are abstract, when I am done I have a feeling of satisfaction I can sit back and see all the many possibilities of what, if anything, had been going through my conscious mind, while I “played”

The other day, I had so much pent-up unproductive energy that I simply exploded, verbal garbage and anger past and present erupted. Such is life, when we least expect it, poof the angry dragon appears. Fortunately I am blessed with a happy dragon, and she is more powerful than her counterpart. She knows the angry dragon doesn’t have the staying power. WE, my dragons and I are happy munchkins.

In PL, we know that Each Moment is a Turning Point. PL Precept 18

Don’t let a negative moment in the day, ruin your day, accept it and move on.

Bom Dia on this lovely crisp Fall day. For the last couple of days I have pulled together Xmas holiday stash, and begun my card making for the November deadline, or maybe it is end of October. Must check that. I decided on a theme this year,since the cards are going to elderly persons that will stuck in home, hospitals and such over the holidays, I decided on a theme of “days gone by” I asked myself if I was going to be a recipient what would I enjoy.

There are many talented card makers who have been doing this for year, so there will be wide variety for the organizers to pick from. Have any of you given serious thought to what. you will be doing in December. I have not, thinking that far ahead was something I didn’t do. It has always been a time of year that I have not felt in sync with.

Yes I enjoy the colour and the gaiety that seems to arrive with the holiday season in December…. but the spiritual side of it all, I have found lacking. But that my dears is not something we will go into now. (huge sigh of relief heard throughout the land)

btw the cards are not finished yet, they are mid way. I see I’m running late, I will wish you all the best of what today will bring your way. I am looking forward to reading more of the autumn months from you, and the wonderful scenes you will post.
