Cranberries and meat pie. Cranberries and chicken pot pie. Cranberries and roast turkey with dressing. No those are not cranberries… they are the cherries from my cherry tree this past summer. I simply have not been able to find all my pictures of cranberries.. but.. the season is coming when I want to taste cranberries.

I doubt I will curb my enthusiasm for cranberries right now.. but I did stop looking through old files for the pictures of my trip to the cranberry fields.
Thank you to my wonderful caring friends who have been helping me while I heal. Friendships are treasures that one can’t find with a credit card, they are priceless.
Today in PL is Appreciation Day (formerly Thanksgiving) it is celebrated on the 21st of each month. We gather for a special ceremony at the church, services are held at 7 pm.
I have much to be thankful for, I have been unable to do to much for myself these past days, i.e a simple glass of water if it was out of my reach, was a total effort to attain if I had to get up out of bed and be mobile. Time heals, and with the help of my friends, I have managed, I am so blessed. I can now move around with the crutches in a much easier fashion, at times, I manage with one if the distance is short and there is furniture I can hold on to. A stool was placed in the kitchen so once I get there I can sit, reach the fridge, micro, toaster etc. and at least manage to get something to eat on my own.
It is easy to take for granted the mobility we have, I will certainly be more aware and remember to give thanks for all of my abilities and not take them for granted from now on. Appreciation is sometimes something we give lip service to, IT IS IMPORTANT.. our abilities, talents and skills are earned and when one is taken away even for a short time, “life” changes. In PL we ask that prayers start our day and end the day.
Service tonight is at 7 pm. if you cannot attend in person, please pray from home, Give thanks for the blessings received the past month, and ask for guidance for the coming weeks.
Express your appreciation with enthusiasm. Appreciation is the driving force for progress and development.

First I want to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes.. I certainly appreciated hearing from you knowing my well being was being assisted by your prayers .. I can’t promise that I won’t try to take down another dead tree on my own… but I will exercise more awareness when I hear my knee snap and my leg give a whimper to PAY ATTENTION… and not try to “finish up what I started”
This will be a quickie since I can’t sit for any length of time.. the affected muscles etc. run up into my buttock.. I’ve been provided with a set of crutches which I need to even get off the bed. And friends are coming by to ensure that I “behave”, eat, etc. the dogs are being wonderful.. carefully staying out of the way when I try to manoeuvre from the bedroom to the bathroom. I’m afraid I might have to spent more time reclining with the leg up.. for another 24 hours. (sigh I’m a terrible patient, I want to find a way to get back into the woods to finish what I started!) (Ducks as Awen readies to whop me with a fish)
OK OK I promise I’ll be good (for this morning anyway ) All the medication yesterday is still making its way through my system. Later I’ll catch up on your adventures and drink in the wonderful visual presentations.

When they dry, I bring them in .. the leaves have gone, there only remains the lanterns on their stems.. they make lovely centre pieces, or arrangements that brighten up the seasons when we are indoors more. I was told they hold spiritual pods inside that have gathered their energy from the sun during their growing season. =^_^= Because I love the idea of having the natural elements of the Universe sprinkled throughout my living space, these are “gems” that I enjoy all year long.
Do everything willingly and joyfully. Your upbeat attitude will make things more cheerful and enjoyable.

Even on rainy days – If you get depressed if it rains, switch your mind so that you can enjoy rainy days on days when it rains. The weather doesn’t change the way you want…. but… you can change your mind.
In the cold gray of the morning light, I got myself ready to find the elusive wild turkeys… Nope, not a one did I see, but I did get some good shots in before the pending rain would start. I used the time to try different settings on this new camera of mine, and to get used to holding it, its big and I have small hands. I like “doing” .. used to enjoy getting up everyday to go to work too. Yup I’m “one of those” It is not “work” when you love what you do ..
What is “normal” is different for each individual. Everyone has a different way of thinking and doing. It’s important to understand others’ feelings.

The SOUND of change – the constant renewal of a life force that changes the environment around it, close your eyes and just listen.
I was in rural Ontario and Quebec yesterday, it was an awesome day for discoveries, colours were vivid and bright in many areas, but when I reviewed the pictures I had taken, I found that most of my interest yesterday was in the places we came across with a past.
Such a beautiful location, I see the sad state of the old building and not only wonder at its past, but at what could be done to save it? Or will it in time be erased and the past forgotten.
Enjoy whatever the day has to offer. Reflect on the past, for it is the “history of what was’ that we build on our tomorrows – Live life with “makoto’ (sincerity).
When its time to eat, the clan/family gathers. There is a time of gathering, each makes his/her way to the “table”. We were not part of the dinner party, but we did get to watch as they arrived. I had stopped the car, there was such a feeling of quiet and tranquility, no city sounds, just the calling of the birds, a dog barking his/her welcome, and the ambience of the day. A perfect day in the country.
Every time we take a “day vacation” it energizes and helps put perspective on the current “state of affairs”
Have a “let’s do it” attitude. Even if a task is difficult, keep in mind it is given by God and accomplish it.
