hmmmm – disquiet – sadness – forlorn

61cbbe12b29fda678de79268147fee64 Really?

Could this be me?

Why do I feel this way….

I am sad because i failed to see

that my Russia Olive (tree)

needed me..

You see I planted her

when she was very young,

and until recently I have checked her every day

she is not hard to miss,

she is right outside my bedroom window

and to the left of the deck when I go out.

Yet with the heat

and with all the … this and that…

that have been happening in my days

I saw she was getting top-heavy,

but I didn’t go further then register that thought

in my sun drenched, heat wilted brain

With an overnight rain, now she bows her head

in shame, for she is no longer standing proud and vain

d8e9fb81cca602bb0e29f1dde5d2650fYes she has even started to bear fruit

her very first year to produce fruit

now she needs repair

True in nature on her own, she would be fine

but i adopted and brought her here

and put her down in the ground of a city lot

I took responsibility, and then forgot

The PL Second Founder said:  When you have to pay for things, pay them joyfully and quickly without regret.  In the same manner when you something to be done, let’s do it without any reluctance or hesitation.  When you have to say something necessary, let’s express boldly and shamelessly without any compromise.  This is the mot natural  and right way to follow, PL Precept 19.  Begin once you Perceive.

Time

87011b657ccdb30275259d153022d86e

So many words come at me, so many ideas want to flow down to my finger tips to be expressed at this time, but I have to pull a few aside and say,,, another time.

When I am having an especially good time, I just never want it to end,but of course, it must, and then I have to work at being patient ….. till the next time.

There are times, when the clouds are gray and I can see that soon, they will get darker, and the mood bleaker…Yesterday we drove along the country back roads, the sun shone down through big white puffy clouds, the patchwork of greens interspersed with  fields of soft shades of pastel yellow golds blended happily with our day.  Then ahead we would see the darkness start to form and the tall church steeple no longer stood against a blue sky but was draped in a cloud of rain.

There are times when what we see, can indicate what will be, yet, if you are in the moment, then time can be only another perspective of what can or could be.  By the time we reached the church, the cloud had passed, we saw the rain, but didn’t experience it, not at that moment anyway …..  we saw time take place for someone else, but not for us.

Time will always be a perception

Time was

retro, breakfast maker

When kitchen gadgets were perhaps simpler.  Note that the idea for breakfast, was that cup of coffee, toast, eggs and I think those are sausages.

campe+ bike UK

When the romantic dream was to camp in a quiet serene lot somewhere, far from the busy cities and towns,  perhaps park the car and if transportation is required, there is the trusty bike to pedal to a country store.

Of course the realities of today when we look back on our dreams of a quiet get away, are not as romantic.  We have to make time to get a way, we need plan and organize, the darling camper, needs to be found and then it has to be reconstructed to meet one’s needs.  Do these small campers have bathrooms, showers, we have to look at logistics, etc. etc.

Important, is our lifestyle such that we can travel with the barest of essentials, or do we need/want more.  Will the car we presently have pull a trailer, do we want to stay in camp grounds that seem to be stuffed with other campers, trailers, and families tucked together between trees much like the some of the communities in the city.  The only difference being, there are more trees, and likely there is water near by for swimming.

And, let us not forget the pets.  We travel with two dogs.  where do we find open space and safety for them.  As the list of needs and wants mounts up, the reality of that romantic dream coming true fades into the distance.life is a journey

Life itself is  journey, how many times do we hear that said, or alluded to. There came a time in my maturing process where I began to realize that each day was my opportunity to explore a piece of my dream, make it a reality, instead of planing  and working at something that may or may not happen, I decided to focus on NOW.  I still dream of future projects, but my interest is in today, how I am feeling today, and what I am doing with my time today. Somehow, that works for me, being present in all I say and do means that I don’t regrets, and I work hard at not having expectations.  I’ve learned when we expect something, we are often disappointed.  The only person that I have control over, in all respects, is myself.  I own the actions and choices I make.  No more, no less.

bacon loaf

Totally irrelevant to anything previous,  this bread takes one hour to make. and I want to taste it. like NOW =^_^- It has 8 slices of bacon in it.   I’d want more.  1/4 cup of Jalapeno,  3 cups of flour, 1 tbsp baking powder,  2 tbsp  granulated sugar  1 tsp of salt,   1 tbsp  vegetable oil,  12 oz buttermilk, 2 cups cheddar cheese,  8 oz cream cheeze.

I’m a confessed bacon addict, if I squeeze a recipe in from time to time, I hope you enjoy!

Goedenmorgen, good morning everyone

Alo 3.1_005Remember the song, Rock and Roll is here to stay, or when we were all hearing about the “British invasion”?  Of course not, some of you do, and others have no idea of what I’m talking about.  Never -the-less … both are part of “history”, contributed to the world today.  Not all that long ago, I was doing research for a virtual blog*  I write, when I came across these characters in a haunted house.  I had the opportunity to meet and talk with the builder of this particular setting and others just as much fun and creative, Being an artist myself, I am often humbled by the ability of others to recreate such fun and authentic looking scenes.  The designer, BambiTwice Nitely has given the virtual world of SL a playground for explorers that is unbelievable in the range of destinations she has provided.  i.e Medieval Fantasy, Star Wars, Aquatic-Marine and Tropical fish, the list goes on, oh and I must not forget a museum of amazing Illusions, these are just a few.  all this to say, because in our limited worlds, we often resist stepping outside the box.  Going or doing something that we have never done before, will always bring something new into our lives. Give us a new perspective.  Challenge us to revisit some of our thinking?

Either way, you will find a new vista(s) to explore.  We should try to start each day with a renewed sense of appreciation.  Smiles through the screen at you.  Life is so full of treasures some long forgotten that need to be rediscovered and others that are brand spanking new.  Remember  LIFE IS ART

Good morning, good morning

I’m still reading yesterday’s lesson, “Begin each day with a renewed sense of appreciation”  the sun is streaming in my office window… I slept in late, feeling lazy and happy.  Nice way to start the day, don’t you think?  Had a short conversation of sorts with a young woman from Brazil (Rio) who didn’t speak English, and I don’t speak Portuguese, so it was brief, but enjoyable, we both grabbed a dictionary and did our best.  =^_^=

In doing our best, in putting our heart and soul into what we are doing – being present/focused – we always achieve  a “connection.” In giving our best, we are rewarded with a result, it isn’t always the result we set out for, but it is a result never-the-less.  I’ve learned to appreciate the little detours that the Universe provides, makes learning my “lessons” much more of an adventure … after all…. Life is Art.

The top photograph was taken in Japan, the magnificent sculptured Tower/building can be found on the Perfect Liberty campus in Tondabayashi, Osaka, Japan. (The PL Peace Tower)  The view from the upper rooms is breathtaking.  The second photo is part of the landscaping on campus.

Make today count!

May your day be filled with warmth, happiness and love.  Always and forever.  Oyashikiri
