my body stirs, as I sense the life around me

birds sing, a squirrel chatters from a tree

and a ray of sunshine finds its way to my face

what is this place

so, calm, so surreal

I know it is part of me, for I am totally

embraced by the beauty

and serenity that gracefully permeates

my total being….

this moment, this time in space

it is real, it is not a dream,

it is my communion with God

the bonding and reconnection

to what is real

Oneness with Nature/God/Tao

captured in time

Timing when taking a picture is everything – the photographer catches that moment in time,  It is an artistic moment.

there isn’t always someone

ready with a camera or lenses

to capture that moment for us

if we were part of that moment, the feelings, the emotion of that moment, live within in us forever

if we were the subject(s) our perception of that moment, will not be the same as the photographer’s

Yet it was together, that the moment was captured.  There could not have been that moment without the collaboration or sharing of that space and time

Today I bow my head in prayer

that my day will be one of happiness and sharing

love/GOD  is within me, in sharing

even if simply with a smile

that smile will spread for miles

for GOD is everywhere

and each moment lived

will be a blessing to be shared

in love and peace with all mankind.

the wedding

4c2982ade8a6eb891efa7beaa205e0c1I attended a wedding yesterday, the bride wore a beautiful white wedding gown, the groom and his best men were all dressed in a classic tux, bridesmaids all wore lovely gowns, it really was beautiful to see. The service took place in a lovely garden, the setting was perfect for the union of two people who so in love they have committed not only to themselves that they will love each other and enter into that very special bond of man and wife… they are now making that vow public, for their friends and the world to share in their happiness.  The picture, the water, all so inviting.

4e5e22b9409a4e0f0019124b3aab8a4f

When one looked  beyond the pretty ambiance, fashion, decor, and “stage” settings, and took in the people and the overall  vibe of the place, suddenly the picture wasn’t so pristine and pretty, it took on a different season, and the water was less inviting.  Couples were not sitting in harmony with each other, they were many of them simply there.  Some I knew were openly negative with each other.  Others were simply there because it wasn’t “polite/right” to not be there.

Life is like a river that is always on the move, sometimes it is raging and driven with purpose, other times it is mellow and simply meandering, but always it is active.

A wedding ceremony to me is like a moment in the building of a bridge between two people.  How well that bridge is built and then maintained will determine how long the two parties will remain  connected.

Always however, they will be joined in the Universal bond of ONENESS, their roots will be forever entwined.

The cosmetics of the rituals that humans put on the sharing of one’s life with a partner or soul mate, or self defined.

The reality is, that we are all ONE.

How we reach out and interact with our other “selves” is very telling on where we are in our personal journey of growth.

Like a tree in the forest, we don’t always get to choose where we will sprout and grow, but grow we will, it will be the depth of our roots and the determination of our will, and our faith in our ability to grow that will see us survive.the test of time.

I am a firm believer that in using the word  love ( a word that captures a lot of imagination, and can me so many different things to anyone who uses it)  …  LOVE  … if we replace it to say ..in GOD, I will, or I am, our actions will be/would be entirely different, and our thought and commitment would also be different.

We all need air to breathe, and we all need love in our lives.

When we commit to being with someone, sharing our lives with that person, we are saying, you are the air that i breathe, the bridge between us is strong, and I will work very hard to maintain my part of the bridge.  Our roots will grow stronger, and though we may not always see the same view in or of the forest, our roots will be forever entangled and our commitment to live together on this earth will be evidenced by the security and strength of our bridge.

Wolves

I hope you take a moment to watch the above video clip.  This was information that I had not known, and on seeing it and hearing it, I had to pause in my day to reflect on just what it was that this documentary was saying.  I’m sure that I will still be thinking about it for some tine to come.  I have always had a fascination with wolves, and other wildlife, the same as I feel that we are one with Nature, I believe that any other living being/creature is also part of this world that I inhabit and that we are all connected in one way or another.

Musubi

window witdh a view

Good Morning everyone

Musubi is a Japanese word used in PL, that translates, Oneness, togetherness with other.  Another word you hear us use a lot is Makoto, this means, One’s utmost sincerity. When we refer to an act of God, you hear Kanwaza, God’s Act.  There are other words of course that are used, when asked why, it was replied that using the basic Japanese words, in the teachings, meant  that when in countries with their own languages, ie. Spanish, French, Portuguese, English etc. the essence of the teachings would remain standard,   Translations can often unintentionally be misinterpreted or represented

Mishirase means, Divine warning, in the form of an illness, a misfortune an accident, pain or suffering.

In a recent article by Dr. Kunihiko Do, who is head of the OBGYN Dept. at the PL Hospital in Japan, and a PL Minister, he says “don’t forget that most diseases start with a little cold that gets worse.  Be thankful that you ‘just’ have a cold and receive a Mioshie for it,” he also suggests a consultation.

Mioshie, is Divine Instructions given to PL members to help them learn and improve their there Mishirase.

Through consultations given by PL ministers, you receive personal guidance tailored to your individual character and situation. We, each and every one of us has our own unique personality and lifestyle, therefore we all need to follow and practice our faith in a way that works for us.

Wherever you are in the world, we can work with you, be there for you,  we pray for each of you will all our hearts, I love and appreciate each and every one of you, and remind you to be careful, not to over-stress your bodies and minds.

This last picture is of the sunset on a beach on the Pacific, in California.  You can see the photographers gathered to catch this wonderful happening.  What a collective awe-inspiring moment, yet each and every one of them will have their own appreciation of the moment.

my dream of peace

winter scene -dreamy

On the first of every month

the church has a ceremony for peace

yet my heart yearns for peace

with each beat of my heart

Like the mist on a cold winter day

I whisper softly the sentiment I feel, into the  words I pray

and hope that some day

every day, will be a day of peace.

winter mist

out of the winter mist

the light of love will glow

   and as it draws nearer

we will all be bathed in a wordless understanding

that will deliver us from the fears

and insecurities that bind us to a world

that is man made, and not

Nature’s WAY

winter swan

Peace lives in my heart

Peace is God’s gift to all of us

Peace is love without borders, boundaries or definition

Love is how we bring peace into our lives

Unconditional love

make it part of each and every moment of our lives

Let us pray together

and nurture this wish for

Universal Oneness

Canadien eh!

b595ff19c2b143e8d9d2cccd52e967c8

Good morning dear reader, when traveling we often hear about our money system here in Canada.  I found this picture that shows you are coinage, however please note, we no longer use the penny.  It was a real change for us when they said, no more printing of dollar bills, and we had to adapt to the loonie.  But, we did and the thought of having one more coin to drag down our wallets passed.  Then they (government) announced no more two dollar bills, we were going to be using another coin, which in Canada we have nicknamed the toonie.  Again the grumbling, what a pain, we’d need change purses the size of makeup bags!

time, telling of

Even telling the time, what seemed to be the way to tell time, when traveling I found out that not everyone knew what I was talking about, and yes we were in an English-speaking country.  In French, we also use the above when speaking of or indicating time. (Canada is bilingual, English/French)

saying, problem in Canada

True, we no longer can say, “A Penny for your thoughts?”  we could, but the younger generation, may not know what a penny is since it is no longer used.  At the moment there are still some in piggy banks I’m sure, but the day will come…… In my research this morning I found a whole page of  “canadian-problem”  #’d fun sayings.  If you are so inclined you can check them out. For my purposes, #318 will do

In PL, the PL Principle #2 is.. I will not have complaint about others, matters, nor the weather,  Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

Let me tell you, when the changes with the money came along, I did my share of grumbling.  Then during recent trips to the States, when I had to pay for things, I found myself longing for my loonies and toonies.  How much simpler it is using coins, and not having to deal with pennies.   I found myself appreciating the changes that were made, that I had wasted so much time being negative about them.. was a “light bulb” an “ah ha!” moment.

PL Precept #4 – Being annoyed limits your expression,   and  it does.  Sometimes there is distance between the lesson being offered, and our realization of same.

Examples used were Canadian “eh”…. but the lesson universal

penny 1 cent

no longer can I send a penny and say

a penny for your thoughts, remember I love you

somehow

a nickel for your thoughts just doesn’t have the same sentiment

it took 5 pennies to make 1 nickel

the one in the penny symbolized that  you and I are ONE

Sorry but a nickel

sounds fickle

but, all said and done

I do .. love you…

You are the only ONE…

Roots, path Pinterest

Musubi – Oneness, togetherness with others ( PL, Perfect Liberty)  Look at these roots, look at how entwined and thick they are. One can look at this path and think, oh what a rough go this will be, or, see the roots as steps leading   to what is around the bed.   The ground is blanketed with these roots that have formed and grown over the many years they have been spreading. What was once a single root, soon merged and traveled with another, sometimes from the same tree, and often with a sister or brother tree.  That dear readers is how life is for us, only we are so involved in our journey we don’t see the spiritual web as it unfolds.

When we share our joy with others, our spiritual roots develop and grow stronger.

Happy 4th of July!

7483843a63d8809adc62c46fe63700eb

Good Morning Everyone!  and to all our American Friends, Happy Independence Day!

We have a Japanese term we use in the PL Church,  Musubi: Oneness, togetherness with others.   one of my goals, my ambitions, something I strive for every day.  Not just sometimes, I really believe and pray that I can attain this with every breath I take. I can’t live in tomorrow or next week, even next month. I live today, now, in this very moment.  and I do my best to live each moment with Makoto,(utmost sincerity)   I pray Shikiri: PL’s unique way of prayer, asking God’s blessing with a sincere promise to accomplish what I need/have to do    Once a moment is lived it cannot be taken back and relived.

As a child I recall my Mother telling me that one should never say something hurtful or negative about someone else because  once that word(s)  was/were  spoken  they could not be taken back. I’ve never gotten that.

Good relationships begin by greetings and acts of respect and courtesy.  Our action not only words, show how much we value others. Often actions speak louder than words.  We have much to be thankful in our lives, lets share a smile today, say hello to someone you haven’t seen or  heard from in awhile.  Pass the feel good feeling around.  It is free and it is yours to give.
