I came across the above photo this morning. I enjoyed revisiting it, so I am sharing it with you. Some expressions of mine.. I enjoy at the time, they are calming and relaxing when I am working with them… then… fickle as I am.. I move on. Each step leads to another. So maybe not fickle, maybe it is more, I let go and go forward. I just finished several small requests for greeting cards, I enjoy doing them, I sit myself down, focus on project cards. When that is done, I put the card making supplies away and return to my art journals.

Sage sentiment. Follow your heart while thinking of the happiness of others.

I know it is impossible to be happy and full of glee 24/7, but I do so enjoy thinking of you all living in happy states of mind.. Productivity, creativity and accomplishments filling your days with rewarding moments of pure satisfaction. Positive and loving energy to all. Share a smile today!

lazy day musing

Spent a lazy day, painting and trying to resolve a technical problem on the PC. Am I the only one who asks, PC or Apple? I have both, each has their own special features that I enjoy. but neither satisfies me 100%

Don’t you just love the solid look of this old charmer, it has been so well looked after. While someone wanted the top one, but has left it out in the elements, the inside of it is ruined.

This beauty was ready to roll. The dealer wasn’t open when we happened by, and there was no signage on the vehicle. So I was left with no choice but to steal a kiss and run. =^_^=

Our Honda Ridgeline was secure in the knowledge that she can accommodate all 4 us, in a way the two seater could never do….You may love the wicked ones, but it is the solid good drives that keeps you humming from year to year. =^_^= .

I appreciate a good-looking body, especially one that has been well looked after. You can always tell when there is pride of ownership. Today we take too much for granted. Life is to enjoy, and living is about exploring and discovering. When we are internally happy, the world is a beautiful place.

canvas torn

Welcome to my mess. If you look .. you can see that it is a colourful mess. It happens. Both these canvas pieces, I found in a thrift shop. Both I brought home with the intent to recycle. How I would end up recycling tho’ I had not predicted.

I was looking for something rather specific for another canvas I had been working on, and it turned out that the tail on one of the birds was perfect for what I wanted. I pulled the canvas off the frame, and ripped it into pieces to get the piece I wanted.

Lo and behold I found that it was a very satisfying sound, the ripping of the old, dried canvas, and every more pleasing was the discovery that I really had myself some great pieces to do some unusual cards. So today when I found this other canvas with the paint splatter all over. There was something about it that drew me.. it was too busy for my taste, but I saw possibilities. For a few dollars it came home with me.

Once again I found myself delighting in the sound of tearing canvas. and … Now, I have a mess on my desk. I know, I just know. I really do… that these pieces are going to come in handy. At what .. I don’/t know yet. I’ll keep you posted.

Meanwhile.. I’m a very contented camper. I’ve ripped, torn, and pulled apart a canvas, finished a super special card, found a piece that is perfect for my “escape” canvas… and the day is not done. How lucky can one person be. =^_^=

Now that the mess is made, and I’ve recorded it for ??? I can pack up the pieces and put them away for another day.

caught in time

There are moments when I am caught up in what I see. We were in a drive through, when suddenly an ordinary moment became one of dimension and depth.

I was drawn into another world, each blade, each stem took on personality of its own. I wanted to capture that moment, and I did. It all took place in probably less than a minute.

Begin Once you Perceive

Even now, hours later, when I look at that moment in time, these pictures, speak volumes to me. I want to experience every blade. each leaf, and discover the marvel of the textures in the bark

How awesome. Simplicity, I was inspired, I took action, and I’m blessed now with the happy feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction… Life is good.I so love being part of it. Thank you for sharing the journey with me. =^_^=
