Buen dia, Good day everyone!

My inspiration today was this wonderful door handle I found. It is the picture, the door, the whole enchilada! This capture has personality plus. Door knobs, handles are fascinating, the vast variety seen when one searches them out is mind-blowing. Artistic statements .. not necessarily on their own, they are, but somehow the charm, the “statement” is in the marriage of the hardware to the door itself. When this was new, I doubt it would have had the same fascination for me, but it has aged, and its appearances has been enhanced with age.

I looked at a lot of pictures of door knobs and handles, I have a Pinterest board of Doors, there are many beautiful pieces in all shapes and sizes. Some wonderfully preserved. But this is the one I wanted, this is the one that spoke to me. It sent my mind off into story land, I imaged it talking to me, wishing me welcome. Smiles, the door handle is a wizard in disguise. Lean closer, hear the tale he spins to beckon you in, behind his sturdy ancient weather worn door.

Enter through this door

watch your step there is no floor

inside you’ll find the years of wear

you’ve allowed to gather on your earthly form

do you dare face the dust and debris

on the pages of your life, worn and torn

from constant use and abuse.

oh, will the door not open

please, use the knocker

the sound will be heard within

if there is a lock, it is because we put it there

We loved with all our heart,

we were blessed with happiness and bliss

and for whatever reason, it was lost

so to protect our fragile heart

we put it under lock and key

time passes, life around us changes, and so do we

but somehow, we don’t want to use the key

our heart still beats and longs to be free

what was…. was… we now know we can never go back

we simply are not the same person we were back then

trust the desires and longing of your heart

trust the person you have become

Love is beautiful

Love is being alive

Love is the freedom to be

Love is living a life in Perfect Liberty

Love is us

Love is you, me

we are ONE

God is Love.

Bom dia, good day everyone!

A day filled with sunshine, that is one thing about winter mornings … the sun comes streaming into my office showering the office with a happy glow that is so inspiring and welcoming. The dried black fungus and fish mah is soaking so it will rejuvenate and be ready for a meal later… my iced coffee is watered down just like I like it.. What a super fantastic start to the day.

Another week, I can hardly believe that we are in the second half of the month. I was reading the calendar’s lesson for the 17th. (yesterday) Tente mais um pouco.. Persevere without giving up .. Persista un poco mas (a has an accent my keyboard doesn’t) smiles, nothing will stop me today, I feel so positive and HAPPY. In fact most days, I realize I am HAPPY . I like being HAPPY.

I had a Skype conversation with a friend the other day and was totally blown away by an experience she had. I listened carefully because I knew the people involved. It had been a negative experience at the time, but she was wise, in having let it go… and in a most positive way was moving on with her life. She explained the situation in a factual way.. and took responsibility for her part in it. I knew there was a reason I had liked her from the beginning when we first met. =^_^=

Of course, there is never just one side to a story, just as beautiful as this little black kitty looks, relaxed and resting, in another moment or two, the view we could witness would be very different indeed.

I plan on having a great day, there is a lot to do and be done, but, first things first, I was not going to let another day go by without saying how much I appreciate you … and thank you for sharing time with me.

It is a Blessing to be Busy!

Oh come on now, really?

yes really, I am at my best

when I can be on the go, exploring, doing

Ah, you don’t mean work, 9- 5

Of course I do

when I am busy, I feel good, I love seeing the results of my efforts

True, nothing is “always” fun,

but doing something, accomplishing something I’ve set out to do

that is rewarding

When we live to enjoy each moment, no matter what we are doing

we discover our strengths and get to use our creativity

Cuz, like we say in PL, Life is Art (Precept #1)

There is something about this picture that draws my eye I want to be there

True I’m not a swimmer I don’t usually seek out water, but there is something here

that makes me want to be sitting there in the sunlight, basking in the sun

minus the people there, I think I would like to be there one my own

I imagine that there would be a quiet, and a serenity, with perhaps the sounds of wild life

coming in from above. Maybe people off in the distance, but not right there.

It is not always easy these days to find places that exude quiet, tranquility.

You’ve hard or read that David Bowie passed away, after a somewhat lengthy battle with cancer.

One of his songs that made the biggest impression on me was Space Oddity, it came out in the late 60’s but I didn’t really know it till much later. When I did hear it, it stuck with me.

David’s Space Oddity I hope you are able to click on this link and hear the song. the other song he did was China Girl, which he wrote in France. David sings China Girl I was young enough to day dream about what the song meant to him in his life.

I’ve never been to Texas. After seeing this picture of the Narrows, near or in Austin area, I think I’d like to explore more. That is what life is all about isn’t it. Travelling through life, enjoying the different adventures and challenges that come our way.

At a function this evening I met up with a friend who told me she was going to call it quits, “really!” I exclaimed, “you just partnered!!” ” after a silence, she replied “yes but I have only seen him for about half an hour in so many days.” “but, isn’t it about the quality of your time?” “No, if I’m going to be on my own, I can do that by myself”

Sound familiar? I don’t see life that way, I feel that when we have friends, we enjoy them to the fullest whether they are with us or not. It is not for their physical presence that we care about them, it is for the person they are. Each and every person in your life is a gift. I myself am responsible for my happiness. If I am not happy it is my choice, it is not someone else’s fault, it is my own.

Good morning everyone, I found this in my research today. It was posted 4 years ago on the Parabola (The Search for Meaning) site on tumblr.

How well said, and so simply .. it brings us back once more to the individuality of each of us, and how our cultures shape our thinking.

However that said, we are not back living in a time when the differences were not known, researched, studied, and documented. This is 2016 an electronic age, we can sit in our homes and watch documented reports of what is going on around us. There are thousands of published reports, books, magazines, videos and spoken story books. There is no reason for us to not know about our neighbours.

Magic mirror on the wall

remember those words

who is the fairest of them all

it is 2016

many of us have looked many a time

into one mirror or another

always to find

that whether it is 1956, or 2006

we always see

the person that we are on that given day

The mirror does not play tricks

It simply reflects back what it sees…

but … for us …. we are not always ready for what we see

no matter how we dress the wall,

using a mirror that is long and tall

if we are short and small

that is what we will see

I myself, believe I’m a star =^_^=

I really don’t need a mirror

I believe that I am me no matter how I look or how I adorn myself

so, if its alright with you,

I will enter into this new year (year of the Monkey)

idyllic & surreal

While not everyone, enjoys surrealistic art, it is so often mind-blowing and fascinating, that it is hard to not look at it, gazing into it, trying to absorb or discover what it is about the picture that draws your attention. Imagine the artist who pulled this piece of art together.

Being a visual person, I find it fascinating to see what someone else has seen and in turn, put it out there for me to discover, It would be nice if we could see into each other’s “head” to see for ourselves what someone else has seen. however, while the person who puts their visualization to pen or to paint to show us, there is no guarantee that we will see or feel the same emotions and exhilaration that the artist did ……… We are all just so unique. Yes we sleep, wake up, and eat like everyone else in a manner of speaking… but..what we get out of these actions is different to each of us.

The infinite charm of self-expression lies in the creating of art itself, I can be happily doing something that pleases me, and seldom know what it is I’m going to do before I actually do it.

Mushrooms, moss and an old log, photographer Frans Lanting took this picture , Manu National park, Peru, those are Cup fungus in the Amazon rainforest. She captured a still of a very vibrant living landscape. When we are creating, we must perceive the subject & really fully grasp its essence, the visual, evokes inspiration, which in turn creates and stimulates a desire for expression.

When we put our full attention, sincerity and scrupulous attention to whatever creativity we engage in, the results are much more rewarding and pleasing to us. So it is when we are faced with a challenge. How we proceed, the choices we make, all become part of the fabric of the results or product that we produce.

Today was a day of “Learning” I’ve been building/creating for a long time using virtual software,graphic programs and I’ve happily done a little bit of this and a bit of that. Content to play. A dear friend and mentor that I hadn’t seen in a long time popped over and while we were talking she suddenly asked me why I hadn’t done something. I had no idea what she was asking me, but in discussing it with her, I realized she was talking to me about a step or process in the doing of something, that I didn’t do, and it caused problems with some of my presentations. I had known that I had to work at achieving what I wanted, and was often stuck with the problem so had to work around it. Now here she was asking me a simple question, in that moment, she opened a whole new window for me.

It was too much for me to take in, I will have to review our conversation, look up tutorials, meet with her again, and and and. I was happily doing my thing… but… to someone with experience in what I was doing, I had left out a step in the process. hmmm I reflected as my head hit the pillow. There is always something to learn. Then my mind decided that perhaps I should deal with some of my other creative projects.. do something less “Intense” So now it is 4:52 a.m. and I’m still up. Yes I’ll pay for it tomorrow, but this is something I wanted to do.

Now that I know there is another step and that if I do it another way, I will have different results, what will I do I will learn the new method, because I like learning. However, if I am creating something because it pleases me, will I do it the new way after I’ve learned how, or will I want to do it the old way. To grow I need to be able to let go of what I have done, and have an objective mind” There is a saying… our Self is revealed when there is no ego....
