Peace on Earth

Simplicity………. the serenity and calm the photographer of this picture was able to capture , look at how the composition leads us over the water, into a covered shelter, then out again up into the pristine mountains. This morning I imagined the freshness of the air, the cool cleansing water on my feet as I start into the water. Look how clear the water is, it is so pristine. As the light and shadows play across the face of the water, the patterns change and create the sensation of motion and movement over the stillness. Light and shadows have been used to add depth and character to the “still” picture.

Love is like this moment, as humans we often see only the surface, and not the total complete and complex intricacies/features that come together to bring the emotion of love into our lives. Love is about opening our eyes and hearts to the uniqueness in all around us, not just wanting what we know.

Today’s world is overflowing with problems, troubles, strife, and unrest. let’s pray for more understanding of differences, and for the happiness and health of others whether we know them or not. Love is such a powerful emotion/feeling. Pure love does not discriminate, it initiates. Love is not about the flesh it is about the state of being human, and very spiritual.

Believe – walk in faith – you are never on your own

Love is about trust – trust is rooted in honesty – honesty grows from Love. allow love to show in your world today, share a smile, extend a hand, reach out…… you can’t go wrong when you share a HUG …. have a good day everyone! Oyashikiri

True Happiness

Good Morning Everyone… It is Wednesday another day to explore…

Years back while touring on the back of a Honda Goldwing we came across a setting much like this while exploring cliffs along the Atlantic Ocean. The past owners had obviously enjoyed sitting and watching the tides coming and going. The little cabin had once heard the sounds of laughter, maybe even tears.. Today the scene is one of long forgotten memories and charm.

We don’t just happen to be who and what we are today, we developed over time. The moss in this setting didn’t just happen, it came to be over many years, inch by inch, section by section. The scene would have been ever changing. Plant life died, and new growth developed, it is the natural cycle of life. “one door closes, another door opens” In PL (Perfect Liberty) we learn the cause of unhappiness, we learn that things and people come into our lives (this includes circumstances) regardless of what we would prefer or what would be convenient for us. True happiness is not determined by something going well or not.

PL teaches us about Mishirase (Divine warnings from the Univers/God, in the form of an illness, accident, pain,suffering, misfortune. We do not see them as unlucky, rather a challenge to rethink, regroup, we are not “seeing” or “using” our skills/talents with Makoto (sincerity) we have drifted off the path. we may be overly attached to our own thoughts and are not expressing ourselves naturally. we are born with the ability to experience pain, and to know “hurt” so that we can recognize when we need to “stop” and rethink or meditate on present circumstances. An important lesson in the I Ching/Tao > the wise man knows when to retreat. If you are a follower of the I Ching – use hexagram 53 for today’s reading. Chien (Developing)
When a situation is faced, head on, with Makoto…. no matter how hard that situation is, with sincerity of purpose, with the Universe in and around you…..you will be able to find a way. There is always something to learn when we are faced with a challenge. when we deal with the challenges we are dealt in life with a positive and open minded attitude. Welcome another Sunday =^_^=

In the last couple of years, many churches have closed their doors, Driving in the country we will often drive by a deserted church. I’m happy to say that I have seen none in this sad state the above church was in when this picture was taken. Here, in Canada, and I hope in other countries, some of these smaller churches are being bought and rejigged to house a family and or be a home for a couple or a single person….Whether home or studio, they are reborn, given a new lease on life. In my research it was a rather poignant discovery that there were just so many of these wonderful buildings now in a state of ruin.

From the state of many of these buildings, the changes happened over a period of time, not overnight. Life is amazing when you think of just how many skills you once had, are now perhaps not as honed. Take letter writing for instance, I was an avid pen pal correspondent when I was younger. In school we were encouraged to meet and write to new friends in another Province, State or country. I loved writing a letter, drawing and enclosing small pieces of artwork to share with my friend. Looking back I’ve had several from Holland (Nederlands) with the age of social media, and internet, our letters became less and less as we discovered the instant gratification of an e-mail. Soon my mailbox took on a look much like the above picture. If I didn’t write a welcome letter did not come back. where once my penmanship was art in itself. now my husband has trouble reading my grocery list.

When we stop doing something, the joy/fun and learning from that activity begins to recede, other activities take its place. Are they as fulfilling? Only you can answer that …For me I think I will sit down and write a few letters today. I will do so with enthusiasm, my journey is coming full circle, I am again interested in the Nederlands, and I am reminded of my earlier friendships ones that, shame on me, I let fall away.

This is a picture that someone titled – Determination – it shows how “Nature” will always have its way, we may struggle in life, and feel that we are locked in a place we are not happy with, but in time, you will reach through the windows and doors of your confined space and find open skies and warm sunshine. It is the “Way” (Tao) “God” – What will you do today… whatever you decide to do, walk with God! Be ONE with the Universe.

Friendships like gardens need to be tended and loved if they are to survive.

Welcome another day!

Yesterday I found myself at the bottom of the steps in a beautiful environment, in reflecting on my post, I realized that not all steps are a welcome sight. That there are days when our thoughts and emotions are in a different place. Or should I say, in wandering through the hallways of the brain, we come across a scene perhaps like this one.

Pause for a moment. Look at the picture that the photographer of this shot captured. I’m not sure I know his/her intent, but to me it speaks volumes. Much like this one does. Again it was a toss up on which picture I would use today. Both spoke volumes to me and had me meditating on my thoughts for some time before I took to the keyboard.

Both of these pictures (for me) capture the essence of life at given moments during certain cycles we live through. When all around seems dreary,painful,lost, when our hearts are heavy, and our laughter barely a whisper, it is in such times that we have to call on our faith, know that the beauty is still there, that the sunshine is merely behind a cloud. The moment will pass, and the light of love and happiness with shine through once more. To love, to care is to allow yourself to feel vulnerable. Mother Nature is ALWAYS present. WE cannot know happiness without sadness, they go hand in hand, when you hold out your hand, you only see one side until you turn your hand over to see the palm. They are ONE.

Hearts & Flowers

Pure vintage we would never see this today, cigarettes are no longer in vogue, but the artist put together a picture showing a couple showing their togetherness, his arm holding hers, their cigarette tips touching, note that the gesture forms a heart connecting them. OK OK, I’m allowed some poetic licence. LOL I thought it charming =^_^=

Hearts and Flowers day isn’t just for lovers, it is a day that celebrates caring and love. although over the years the marketing has been more and more about the gifts one gives, or tied to romantic stories, new engagements, marriages, and first dates etc. I see it more as a day of love,period. A good friend recently lost one of her parents, which is a time of loss, she and her family have chosen to celebrate their loss, by celebrating the parent’s life. How joyful, to honour the life and the positives this person gave to other during her lifetime. Love is a blessing in our lives. the word itself has been so used and misunderstood, but in reality, it is Lasting ONENESS (with God) and Vibration (energy) that is Endless. Oyashikiri

PL Precept #1 life is Art….

PL Precept#2 To live is to express One’s Self

We all have different ways of feeling, thinking and expressing ourselves. The artist that pulled this concept together was “brilliant” When I saw this picture I simply could not pass it by and not share it. Obviously there is a love for biking, but to bring it into the home and use it so creatively … I was impressed, and it brought a big smile .. what a joy it must be for visitors to walk in and find this display. The simplicity of it all … I know a young lady who bikes, she loves being out on her bike, she is a long distance rider, and an off-road biker.. the whole experience for her is spiritual and exhilarating. Much like the feeling of freedom and heart felt connection to nature when one is on a motorcycle, riding the back roads.

We are all unique in our own way. When we live doing our best, and following the laws of “Nature” (God) – trusting and believing in our eternal connection to the “Universe” (Tao) we become more accepting of others’ and their differences, learn to respect each other, one step at a time, we grow towards world peace. A peaceful heart, begins in one’s Self. God is the power, source and law of the Universe! amen.

11th of the month, Ancestor Day

We are who we are. No amount of cosmetic surgery, make up or fashion styles we make will change who we are, or where we came from. What does change is the way we use the skills and God given talents we have (understanding of life). This is an old Japanese print that I found, and thought it was a very appropriate visual for today’s greeting.

The clever and subtle messages of the artist are wonderful. I see so many possibilities of interpretation. He/she has captured the happiness of the cat being worked on, the little claws are out as it kneads its contentment into the carpet. How one feels when enjoying a wonderful relaxing massage. =^_^= the look of face on the “giver” is focused and mindful of what it is doing. The signer stamp of the artist is an artistic sign of the TAO.. Yin/Yang. Male/Female, Active/Passive and this is what the picture is a balance . Harmony of two energies. TAO – complete ONEness in the moment.

You are here today, thanks to your ancestors. Their actions, lives were instrumental in your being here at this very moment. On the 11th of every month, through ceremony, we express our gratitude for the love and virtues of our ancestors and ask for their protection and guidance so we can continue to live the PL WAY. Surrender opens doors

Part of healing is being vulnerable. It is through life’s lessons that we learn, our imperfections are exposed. In sharing it is not so other’s can fix us or rescue us, but so we can love and accept ourselves. Sharing is a catalyst in healing and change. Our value and worth is not determined by how hard we struggle. Learn to let things happen easily and naturally. Allow the “Universe” to ease us into where we need to be. Be open to the circumstances in your life. The love and light of God/Tao surrounds us.

Put sincerity into everything you do.

My thank you to each and everyone of you for sharing this part of my life with me.

Changes

It isn’t always easy to accept changes in our lives – Yet the world around us is constantly changing. Take on the challenging and new experiences as materials for self expression.

Your path will open up if you accept, and let go. The garden statue sits through the seasons, enduring and patient. As he/she weathers and ages, his/her newness disappears and is replaced by a mantle of character that is all his/her own.

Our lives are a tapestry woven of both mistakes and successes. -(Tao)

To be fully human is to know resignation. (Ta0)
