Does a green door mean anything to you? Do you know how many green doors you have passed through in your day? Probably not. We go through a lot of doors, some more colorful than others. Some we close behind us and others are left open. A friend recently closed a door on me, the friend decided they no longer wanted to be friends. Actually if I think back, I’ve probably had a few doors closed on me -smiles – what is the saying, you can please some people some time but not all people, all the time. Something like that.
What happens when a door closes. Nothing really, of course I guess it depends on what side of the door you are on, what view you will have, but the reality is, the door is closed. You didn’t close it, but it is closed non-the-less. In my earlier years I guess I would have tried to reopen the door, I no longer feel the need to do that. I’ve come to respect that if someone decides to close a door, it is their decision, and I respect that. It doesn’t change my feelings, or my caring, because when I give or love, I do so willingly and from my heart. There are no regrets when love is pure and true.
In PL(Perfect Liberty) we learn practical guidelines for living our daily lives. These principles assist us in practicing the PL 21 Precepts. The 1st Precept is …..Life is Art…. The 1st Principle …. I will live paying careful attention,putting Makoto (sincerity) into all I say and do.
Living harmoniously with the Universe is really about being in the moment and being mindful in all we say and do. Doors whether open or closed are a beautiful reminder of movement from then to now. I like green because it is the color of growth and new beginnings.
Principle #4 – I will live with the spirit of Misasage (Devotion) working for the happiness of others.
I wish you all a very good day, whatever it is your decide to do, keep at it, don’t give up until you have accomplished what you started.
Life is here for us to enjoy and to be lived. All things come to fruition once the heart (content) and the object (form) are in accord with one another, you will be blessed with wonderful results.

There are days when the way ahead is just so darn daunting. You know you need to continue and persevere, yet you seem to be encountering one challenge after another. Stand still for a moment, and quiet the mind. Allow moments to pass without thinking about what needs to be done, or how to do something. Then readdress the situation with an appreciation for what needs to be done. Take initiative in tackling the work or task with makoto (sincerity). Let your strong resolve carry you to the next bend or fork in the road.
We are all on the same journey, only we have each our own landscapes to discover. Life is never dull and it never stands still. Often we travel parts of the journey on our own, but, we are never ever alone, THE LIFE FORCE OF THE UNIVERSE (GOD) is always with us. I heard a wonderful gospel song yesterday that I hope you enjoy, no matter what philosophy you follow it has a positive message ….

Where ever you footsteps take you today, may the day be one of many blessings. Each day, a new door opens, and often another will close. Nothing is forever, trying to hold back the ongoing changes that are the essence of life. Church, (temple) is where you find your spiritual calm, your inner Self, Some find it in the quiet communion with the Universe while they wander the sea-shore, or kayak into isolated bays. Other’s feel it the moment they walk into their favourite place of worship.

Today we are welcoming a new member to the PL (Perfect Liberty) Family, Rev.Tiago and his wife Paloma are proud parents to a beautiful baby girl .. a sister for their first princess. Double delights and pleasures in their world. Congratulations! Girls, bundles of sweetness and light. Another new chapter in their lives. =^_^= Isn’t it exciting when someone in you life experiences a life changing moment. When I researched what was out there for new births I was happy to find that there is such array creativity out there. A wealth of ideas for those who like to make their own cards, suggestions for doing a nursery, knitted items, the sweetest little outfits, in this instance, all pinks and pastels . A whole new world for an “oldie” like myself. Each day brings something new into our lives, Something to discover and appreciate. Whether directly in our daily comings and goings or in the world around us. Cherish happy moments, treasure the memories they will have for you in later years. Let us take today and make it special. This picture* was taken somewhere along the Central Coast, farmland,ocean, ocean, farmland with some nice mountains thrown in along the way for good measure. I talk a lot about quiet, contemplation and the living life as it it presented to you. Being unique each and every one of us, experiences life in a different way. No matter how grown up I get,I never cease to be amazed at how much I am touched by another human beings courage, or determination in the face of challenging news or obstacles that are put in their paths.
No matter how difficult today seems, when you have that piercing moment of stabbing pain and doubt, remember that it is only a passing segment in you life, and that tomorrow will be another day. Actually in an hours time, this moment will be part of history.
LOL how often of late do I hear, darn I forgot what I came in to do, or I know I left my glasses somewhere, for me its my car keys, they turn up, inanimate objects get put down, or left behind when something new (thought/phone call/distraction) comes along.
In PL, there is a Principle that I have to work hard at everyday to do my best to live in this way. It is PL Principle #2, I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions. Principle #6 – I will not be stubborn, being captured by my own thoughts. There are only 21 principles in PL (Perfect Liberty) but by golly, each one packs a mitt full of lessons to work on … My challenge every day is to try and bring each one into my life as my journey through the day progresses.
It helps me to be reminded to leave the past in the past, and to remember that what is important is what I am doing right now, this very moment. ( I smile thinking of you as I write this knowing that you will be reading my words sometime later today.) A friend asked me who I am speaking to when I get personal … I’m speaking to each and ever pair of eyes that wander through my thoughts with me. I feel very blessed to have met you through this blog. And believe me when I say that I appreciate each and everyone of you, I’ll never tire of our friendship, it will change, it will flow, and it will grow. That is what life is all about.
WE are not inanimate objects, we are a life form, part of the Universe, we survive and regroup, we are like the moss and the lush green forest that reclaims what time forgets. It is a slow process, but the growth is life. Life is beautiful in all its stages.

Sometimes I just have to share with you some of my finds.
Sometimes I find a photograph that leaves me without words to express what I am thinking, or the wonder that fills my mind, Is it real, how did it happen or come to be… It was posted on Pinterest by a Nathan Eames. (Poole,UK)
Every day I have such moments in my life. Moments where I am simply overcome with an emotion that carries me away. It could be something as simple as walking outside with one of the dogs and seeing a squirrel run across the hydro or telephone line as easily as I walk along a sidewalk. The other day I noticed a small purple violet peaking out from a small clump of freshly unfurled moss green leaves. There are crumbling pieces of broken concrete from a weather worn bird bath that somehow seem to give character to the sprawling juniper. If I look even harder I see the faces of long forgotten art dolls looking out at me wondering if I’ve forgotten them. I have. There is just so much to see, explore and experience right here at home, yet when I see the finds of others. like the picture above. I truly am amazed. Isn’t technology wonderful. How blessed we are to live in an age of “social media” where artists can share their works, visual and otherwise by simply posting it for others to see.
Value your time here, actually see the world around you, listen to the sounds of life that fill your day. Most of all, appreciate the true worth of those around you. Family, friends, tell someone you care, don’t assume they know. We all need to know we matter in someone else’s world.
No matter how big or small the part we play, we are all ONE under the moon/stars/sun. Blessings… Oyashikiri

The happy Buddha, it is said, you rub his tummy for good luck, prosperity and good fortune.
Words to start the day with. Thoughts to bring with us through our day. Some days like yesterday, I just needed to get away. Not be in a familiar, take to the road, walk in the downtown congested core of the city. Feel the life all around me, the buskers, vendors, tourists, Saturday shoppers, homeless. The market was humming. A lone saxophone player stood outside one of the big department stores, his notes, long and soulful as he tried to catch a listener in the bustling and jostling of the hurrying passers-by.
On the opposite side of the street a young man and woman were playing a duet in front of the Beaver Tail* food truck. People sat at tables talking and eating, There is a building full of food booths from all different parts of the world. The sounds of the city on a Saturday afternoon when the sun is out, rain was forecast but hadn’t arrived yet, is a cacophony, not always one that harmonizes. So why when I wanted a place to meditate and be “away” from my home comfort zone, did I chose to go downtown.
Where I am is not what will produce the ambiance for a good meditation. The human mind is much like the environment I was in, it is busy, it is always chatting, charting and planning. Quiet begins from within. It is MY actions, MY personal desire to want the quiet, that will give me the connection to the “Universe”… I need only sit, close my eyes, and pray/meditate. The world goes on around me, but my mind stills, and I am ONE with God/Divine power.
Alan Watts said -” This is the real secret of life – to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now, And instead of calling it work, realize it is play” This is how I like to live. In my earlier years, I read all of Alan’s books, there is one now that I can’t even tell you its name, but I carried it with me and read it over and over till it was worn thin. Words are only that words, used properly they are an art form. Granted they help in conversations, in the end, it comes down to one word can have different meanings and intent. The only connection that is real is the one you have with your Self and God/Tao.

Please join us today, as we gather today all over the world in PL churches for the ceremony we call Day of Peace. Through this ceremony we pray for world Peace and rededicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings in our own worlds. this includes our home, school,work and community.
Take in the beauty of this moment, drink in the awesome power of “Nature” Feel the “Divine” energy of the “Universe”, drink it in. Close your eyes and let it infuse into all that you are. Then slowly open your eyes and smile out at the world, knowing that you are blessed with a love that knows no boundaries. Let us pray together for the happiness and peace of the entire world around us.
Put into practice the PL “Way” – Devotion = Misasage (literally means “to dedicate your self for the sake of others and society. The uniqueness of PL is to embody the teachings rather than to just understand them in your head. Misasage is the essence of living a PL life.
