c’est bizarre, c’est jeudi

What happens when suddenly you realize it is Thursday! Wow, like how did this happen, it came at me right out of the blue.

Like the seasons, was it just yesterday I sat and watched the birds fly by on the horizon, couldn’t have been, when I look out side now, the world is white, we’ve had snow. Lots of it, although, it was so mild yesterday, temperatures went up to 40 degrees F. Today is going to be another mild day.

img_20151206_125944719 I had thought of going to New York city for the Perfect Liberty Thanksgiving service this month. The thought of seeing NY again, I’ve been away from some time, actually a LONG time, so close to the Chinese New Year, a side trip down to Chinatown would have been a real treat.

If you saw my blog the other day on Chinese New Year, and took the time to watch the video on the foods prepared for the special celebration, you would have seen a lot of colour, especially reds.

It was not to be. In the Japanese Church of Perfect Liberty, we use a word, Kamuwaza, it basically means, “God’s Act” or through no other reason, but that “something” just doesn’t happen, due to many different circumstances. In this case, all the signs were not pointing towards a good productive trip, my pushing the envelope to go anyway, would mean that, my desire, my wishes, were “mine” and not necessarily were they going to happen.

The TAO. also addresses this, there are times when we simply need to listen to the “signs” around us, and STOP pushing forward. It is time to STOP, reflect, and regroup.

Noooooo I’m not bummed about it, a tad disappointed maybe, but I have learned, that everything has a reason, (season) and by staying tuned in .. PL Precept # 11 Always be with God.

PL Precept # 20 Live maintaining Equilibrium between Mind and Matter.. Things will progress and develop (PL Precept # 16)

From my mail box to yours, happy day, the snow is light, fluffy and a little sticky, the temperature not balmy, but nice, cozy with my down on.

Oh, and btw, my eggs were delicious, salt and peppered with a tease of a Japanese chili pepper… yummy.

Life is not about everything having to be perfect, I enjoyed being outside, trying to find just the right angle and the perfect frame. So it didn’t happen like I would have wanted it to, I did get pictures, and in the process, I’m learning.

quiet beckoning

ompah-hwy-7 Ompah is in Ontario, a little out-of-the-way, but not so far one can’t get to it. The seasons change, right now I’m sure it doesn’t look like this. It will be snow-covered, and likely there will be a chill in the air.

My body has a cold right now. Notice I’ve disengaged myself from the body that is wanting to sneeze, wheeze and be a total drain on my energy.

I envision this wonderful location, patiently waiting for the cold to have its day and disappear.

Such is life, sometimes, Nature has its own agenda, time for me to settle down, find a cave and hibernate for a while. =^_^=

I’ll do that after Hubby takes me out for our anniversary dinner…..International Buffet.. yum.. what is it, you feed a cold or starve a cold?? later, I’ll dwell on it later… =^_^=

The sun shone so brightly today, for the first time EVER in my life, I out on a second pair of sunglasses over the ones I was wearing so that I could drive safely. Even then, the glare was so hard on my eyes, it actually began to feel painful. My eye balls wanted to retreat deep into the recess of my skull.

The sky was the purest of blues, if not for the constant reminder that we were under a frost bite warning, and a caution that it was going to get colder as the day wore on, AND with the wind chill factor, it was like minus 30 degrees Celsius .. Note I am a Canadian that relates to the weather, as seen above in Fahrenheit.

I have been told, snow is coming, it was clear and bright today, but it seems certain that over the next 24 hours, we will have snow. The snow will come and the temperatures will raise, so that we will be in for freezing rain/sleet.

Knowing this, I have prepared myself for a day of creativity indoors. I am lucky that if I decide not to go out, I don’t have to. The joys of being retired.

Yes, snow does have to be shovelled, or getting out of the laneway, could be a challenge, but for those who love to be outdoors, skiing, whether downhill or Cross-Country, snow is welcome. When was the last time you sailed down a snowy slope on a toboggan

LOL true, once at the bottom, you have to make your way to the top again. Great way to stay in shape, and it is something the whole family can do.

Yes it is cold, Yes it is going to snow, Yes it could get slippery, but you know what, you have managed all these years, you know how to deal with the Canadian winter, or the Colorado lows… where ever you are, use common sense, dress accordingly, drive safely, enjoy the world around you.

Life is happily moving along, life is very good, there appears to be chaos around you, but in your little world, each day is a brand new, happy day.

And then, and then, surprise, the magic wand comes around and a little tap, tap tap, and darn, something changes.

You get a new computer, because your old, true blue friend, simply refuses to budge, you shut down one night, and it simply refused to wake up. Yes, the new one is top of the line able to do all that you want it to do. However, it is not warm and fuzzy, it doesn’t remember your last dinner for two, it has not shared any real “moments” with you. It is a cold black, metal box.

Nothing is where it used to be, and every time you turn it on. you just know you will discover another learning curve. Sigh. I know, these opportunities are sent to keep our gray matter from getting sluggish. To keep us eager for more knowledge, encourage our creativity.

Smiles and waves, good morning, it is the start of a Friday, I’m told there are black Friday sales going on everywhere. Even here in Canada. time to take a break and go out to play.

I love many of the minion cartoons, not all, but most. I confess, some I don’t get the humour at all. And then, others like this one, connect with me right away.

We all have the freedom of choice, some of us exercise that right, another can be passive about the world around them, however, I’ve learned that passive does not mean indifferent.

My personality is what it is. I now know after living all these years with my “self” that to others I can be not only opinionated, but stubborn. Do I think of myself as being stubborn, no, do I think I’m opinionated, no…. BUT… if the other person’s reality is that I am. Then guess what…in my interactions with that person, I have not responded in a way that encouraged communication, or in turn, they find me to be stubborn and opinionated, because I don’t agree with them. Fun eh!

The only person I have control over, or can change, is MYSELF.

Every day is a lesson in .. living life to its fullest potential, to do my best when sharing with others to bring happiness and a smile, whenever I can. I like being happy, and tend to remove myself when I meet up continuously with negativity.

It is not easy to walk away, or take a stand, but, mental health, and our ability to cope with some of the negative energy that bombards us each day, is just as important as being heart healthy..A healthy positive and loving spirit, will go a long way, in seeing daily rewards grow.
