BE CAREFUL unless you know that area of road if you back up to turn around, there is a steep incline on the right (Passenger’s side). You need to avoid the area and go back via the one way around the circle,. AND that is tricky if another car is coming in. Please take care.
Trees snap and break when we have heavy wet snow and ice pellets followed by more freezing rain, that is just what a Canadian winter can be like. We were lucky, power lines were not affected.

When a trail is closed it is usually because the forestry personnel didn’t get to clear parts of the trail that were blocked by fallen trees, before the weather changed, there is always a reason. sometimes it isn’t obvious, there could be a tree that has been snapped and hasn’t fallen yet, and again, the crews were unable to remedy the problem before the change in weather. Unless you know the trail and the woodland area well, stay clear until it is opened again. Please be safe,

See the 2nd from the left, last row. That is the Li Ho Restaurant, it was a rocking juke box dance hall at one time, I won my first jitterbug/jive contests there a “few” moons ago. Smiles.. time was.. memories are always interesting,…. Now driving into an empty parking lot ..not another car insight, just the birds watching from the trees and the squirrels scampering to be first to greet me .. that.. is powerful. When the Ravens call down, even more thrilling.
A memory from the past. Funny I see the clock that reads 1:20 something in the background. Could have been a week day, but likely not, a week-end then. My Mother would have been sitting in her lazyboy just to the left of the tissue box. Timmy (the cat) seems to be tending a purse, so someone had to be visiting. I didn’t expect to see this picture when I opened the file. but… there he was, my Mother’s loving companion, he had a loving personality … time… it has a way of disappearing , moments are fleeting…
