Monday

Good morning everyone,,

Heal from the past

Simply be here

There is only NOW

Cherish what can’t be measured

New Zealand is very beckoning. This picture my friend posted has an almost surrealism to it. Moving has had a dramatic effect on me.. I am still putting together the pieces that shattered around me during the start of the move.

The reality of my situation didn’t hit me till I was able to distance myself from what “was”. You all know the expression,. “one can’t see the forest for all the trees”

in my case it wasn’t a small change.. and… when the reality hit, it was a whopper.

Till soon..

musing

When we experience loss – we learn to survive

the sun keeps shining, night follows day

We wake one morning and realize, we’ve outgrown who we used to be.

We choose silence from noise – somewhere in between nothing makes sense – but we are learning

We are no longer who we were – our season is changing

In the solitude of our silence – something new is born.

Love from a place of depth

Life unfolds in its own rhythm

Letting go, means we care enough, trust and have faith in being true to Self. There is great strength in Quiet.

Friday

Yesterday with help from the two “boyz” we got a lot done. Paul is an organizer extraordinaire … Steve has the ability to put things together, & make something work, handyman beyond compare. the two have years of experience working together… we got shelves put up, the cat walk, and a zillion other “projects” I can look around and feel a sense of having arrived. In fact, I slept in today till near 7…. me! who has been up and out of the house by 6 most days… was rather taken back when I saw the time.

Letting Go…. is so much harder than one thinks.. but I am working hard at saying, “No, I’ll pass it on!” The trick today will be getting “stuff” into the car to drop off at a “charity”.

It is only natural that you are different from others. Each of us has our own way of thinking and our own individual lifestyle. That’s what makes life interesting.

Have a wonderful Friday, keep smiling.

Slow Down

Put your heart into your words.

Do you tend too speak in just a matter-of-fact tone? It is important to put your heart into your words.

drum roll

Stop…. take a deep breath…. hold it…. let it out slowly….. did that help.. NNOO! Then do it again… close your eyes this time.. block out the world… now slowly take another deep breath… hold it… and let out a big sigh…. How was that???

PL Precept # 18 Each moment is a turning point

Call internet provider… what was working the other day . is not working today. After much back and forth.. “our offices are not open at the moment, but you can go to our internet website .. log in and your problem can be quickly resolved.. supply your e-mail and we will send you a link”

Hmmmm wonder how I can do that when the internet is not working an that is why I’m calling. However talking to a mechanical robot does not get my any further, I am stumped, I go silent. After moments of silence, I hear a human voice. Relieved I explain my situation… the voice tells me to unplug the modem.. I look blankly at the screen and my cell phone.. there are a zillion wires at my feet. “which wire exactly” I ask…

“Do you know where your modem is” asks the disembodied voice. “yes” I replied “I saw the repairman install it in the closet” Then I was given further instructions to go to the box etc… and from there it only got more “challenging” With patience, and trying to find buttons where there were none… the internet is now up and running, but for how long, who knows.

What a way to start one’s day.

Vendredi

Last night as I tried to quiet my mind, my thoughts drifted in and out through the many corners of that gray matter within my skull. I felt like I was shedding skin (a chapter of my life) like a snake…. I felt myself glide through a mist, and ………… ………… in the stillness of the night, I stepped willingly into the abyss.

Find a good balance between your present and past experiences.

Without forgetting your original intent, continue to develop your own path by also relying on your knowledge and experience.

silence

Where would you like to be today…

choices

Hungry anyone?

When one is in the middle of a move, not much thought is given to meals… I just grab what is easy, and chomp it down. Not good when you are diabetic. Not good at any time really. Last night I had a reminder that neglecting one’s intake of water, & eating properly at decent intervals is not good! But then, Like magic …I heard an echo… a voice of calm that centered me… lulling the restless mind into a calm zone.. I fell asleep and actually slept till almost 3. There is so much to think about and do, I did manage to get back to sleep and wake up feeling rested.

Face challenging situations with positive determination

When you encounter difficulties, boldly take measures to overcome them. By creatively find solutions, you will feel the joy in tackling any situation.

PL2019.13

In life there are always choices… it helps to focus on what is happening in that moment, what you are thinking an how you feel, before making decisions that will impact you going forward.

Cheers everyone,. till soon.

what ?

What a hoot!! Let’s see if you can tell which house is mine ?

Ok everyone now knows I’ve put the house up for sale… the once quiet residential area I fell in love with, has become a very different place, with a totally unfamiliar vibe. The real-estate agents listed it yesterday, there is now a sign in my front yard. Thanks Bonnie for looking up the listing for me.

I have had many encouraging messages, for that I thank you, it has been a mouthful for sure. There are a lot of memories associated with the place. When we bought, the property was bare of vegetation. There is a cherry tree that gives an abundance of cherries every spring, and in early spring there is a Saskatoon Berry tree with amazing berries. The birds, love the trees and visiting the property. I will miss them. There is even a rabbit that lives somewhere in the neighbourhood, spends a lot of time in my front yard. (wonder why)

In the back I have a maturing magnolia, maple, evergreen, and an assortment of other small trees and vegetation… In my new place (apartment) I have an outdoor patio, with a hedge .. that will be my greenery. All things must evolve and we must embrace new beginnings.
