Our own Steve Who, caught me on, and invited me to join him.. What a bonus event to an already busy day. It is always good to listen to one’s intuition, I had not intended on logging on, but I did, and voila, thanks to Steve, we now all know about another fantastic artist.

The night was clear – the darkness was inviting – there were few stars in the sky – a stillness lay over the land – she moved with slow deliberate steps, yet her feet barely touched the ground – her movements were almost invisible shadows …the moon’s sliver of silver light highlighted her graceful form as it now picked up speed…. did I imagine her… one minute she was there, and then… … the night was clear. Only a faint scent of a lingering breeze eluded to her having been.
There are days when the you know .. the night hasn’t gone away.. it is waiting in the wings.

Some days just happen. Today when you look, the light frost and snow will be everywhere, give it another hour or two, and……………. who knows what you will find,
I am thinking I might try a slice of dark Christmas fruit cake with a slice of Gouda cheese.
Start the holiday week off with your favourite performer, Trow Boa, (saxophonist) what better way to kick off a busy week .. Trow has a set to have you “rocking” around the Xmas tree, he’ll put you in the mood for all that’s good and merry. All you need to do is get to the club on time, his set starts at 5 slt (Second Life) Monday Dec. 20th.
OK now we know we are going to Nat’s tomorrow, what to wear. We’ve found this delightful designer who has a style all her own.
She does have a retail show however .. I had more fun looking through all her inventory on Marketplace. I’ll be wearing one of her outfits at Nat’s Jazz club tomorrow, you’ll have to drop over to see which one finally won me over.
Recently went looking for Santa, in days of “old” at this time of year, people were searching out Christmas cheer. Merchants had their shops brimming with decorations and seasonal goodies, Xmas parades were happening, social get togethers were planned, even the church basements were being decorated for members to enjoy when they gathered for coffee and cake (social hour)
In touring around, I see or saw little of this merriment that once would just have been part of the day. Yes there are homes with decorations, and some of the stores have put up holiday decorations, but I’m not feeling the vibe. “Jolly Santa” and his crew of woodland creatures and elves seem to have faded into “never never land”
Instead of the spirit of the holidays being shared and delighted in, if you turn on the radio or watch the telly, the air is blue, gray and black. Yes there are patches of magic here and there, but it is not everywhere.
A little fantasy is good for everyone.. let’s try to recapture some of the magic of the holidays, in spite of what “some’ would have us think and do.
Make Today a different day. Instead of doing the same old thing, be creative and do things to improve your day.

I was delighted yesterday to meet up with Ed Hodgins, where else in the woods of course… smiles… how does that song go, “if you go out to the woods today, you’re in for a big surprise”.. lol mine was meeting up with Ed who I had not seen for awhile. he was of course out taking pictures, he had his faithful camera at the ready, and a bag of “goodies” for the birds to entice the feathered beauties.
We, the “birders” who enjoyed the Evening Gros beaks last year, are waiting to see if they will return this year. I certainly hope so.. They were delightful last year. Meanwhile I asked Ed if he had any pictures of wild turkeys, and he did! (see two top pictures). Kevin bless his heart, remembered I was looking for Wild Turkeys and sent me footage from his inventory of pictures.. I get to do my turkey post!
No, I have no idea why I had this interest in the turkeys this year.. they just seemed to catch you fancy, but were always eluding me when I had my camera with me. Does anyone out there know what their vocal call is? They are always on the move like in Kevin’s picture when I see them or eating in some farmer’s field.
What is normal is different for each individual. Everyone has a different way of thinking and doing. It’s important to understand others’ feelings.
Did yesterday even happen? Yes it did. Was I present for it, sort of. When I first saw this picture I was taken with what a magnificent view it offered. The water below the lush vegetation for miles around. I very much wanted to experience the walk out to the end of the look-out, of course since it is miles and miles away in another part of the world it won’t happen in this lifetime. But.. I could dream, and dream I did, I let myself imagine the air, the breeze, the smells.
Have a “Let’s do it” attitude. Even if a task is difficult, keep in mind it is given by God and accomplish it.

I woke before 4 a.m. this morning. I let the dogs out and went back to bed but couldn’t sleep, I had on my mind something I wanted to do, and I knew that since I had an early morning appointment, what I wanted to do would not get done till much later in the day. Lying reasoning with myself it was just too early to get up, but the nagging feeling of wanting to get what I wanted done, didn’t abate .. I got up.
It has been a productive couple of hours.. it will be interesting to see how the rest of the day will be. Meanwhile, you have yourself a great day! Be productive, efficient and effective in all you do!
