the day before
the hook
The day was clear but not bright, still I saw the sculpture of a magnificent tree (the hook).. couldn’t stop, I was on the other side of the highway headed out of the city.
It isn’t all the artificial coloured lights and the tinsel that shouts to me. Joy to the World… its the views I get when I am driving in the outskirts, nature simply being itself, farm land, a farm house up on a hill, the small towns I go through, the decorated verandas and front lawns of the homes. Yes, a red barn against the horizon, even the big silos and the farm machinery sitting waiting to spring into action when they are needed.
Not only in December is it time to celebrate the glory and wonder of the Universe and the diverse and interesting world that has shaped around us, these blessings should be appreciated and shared every day.
People make this world happen. People. We are doubly blessed when we can turn to our fellow woman/man and truly say from the heart, Thank you for being YOU, and sharing this day with me. Makoto.
Oyashikiri
I did stop to take pictures on my return into the city, but the lighting by then had changed… still I knew where it was hiding… =^_^=
