Today there were many pictures of cardinals and blue jays against the snowy background that is now our backdrop till sometime in early next year. Local birders and nature photographers have been enjoying the flash of colour against the fresh fallen snow …

Bom dia!

Nope, didn’t work, saying good morning in Brazilian Portuguese didn’t work, the snow is still happening outside my window,, NOTE. if you are out today the ice storm yesterday took down some of the weaker trees. P22 Mer Bleu has a tree preventing your exit from the parking area. I did report it yesterday morning, but the maintenance crew might not have gotten to it yet. BE CAREFUL unless you know that area of road if you back up to turn around, there is a steep incline on the right (Passenger’s side). You need to avoid the area and go back via the one way around the circle,. AND that is tricky if another car is coming in. Please take care.

Trees snap and break when we have heavy wet snow and ice pellets followed by more freezing rain, that is just what a Canadian winter can be like. We were lucky, power lines were not affected.

How are you doing Sunshine and balmy winds where you are? Life is good. Mother Nature has many forms of expression. Today is another day. Let go of yesterday and start fresh

It is interesting because it is difficult. In order to overcome difficulties in your life, you need to think hard and be creative. That is why life is always interesting.

No doubt, that winter had blown in. This picture was taken last year, so no chair left on the deck this year, but the snow is here, we got freezing rain, snow, ice pellets, more nasty freezing rain and snow ALL night and it is still doing its best to make sure everyone knows.. this is it… After encountering PC glitches with a new version of software program I use all the time.. I looked back at the wise woman in the mirror and said “good idea” went to bed, pulled up the covers and tuned out.

Listen to others until the end. If you put your thoughts first, you will not be able to listen to others until the end and understand them well.

It was a sugar coated world yesterday . Mild, very pleasant. There is a simple joy in standing quietly while the fluffy snow flakes dance merrily through the air. Of course if I stood too long, there were complaints from the peanut gallery that the morning breakfast was being delayed. Interestingly when they see the chair and I sit.. they stop chastising me and go about cleaning up their “plates”… they seem to know, when the human sits and closes her eyes, I’m having a ” time out”.

Enjoy the day everyone, don’t know about where you are, but here, the airwaves are full of the holiday cheer “songs” and “stuff”

A memory from the past. Funny I see the clock that reads 1:20 something in the background. Could have been a week day, but likely not, a week-end then. My Mother would have been sitting in her lazyboy just to the left of the tissue box. Timmy (the cat) seems to be tending a purse, so someone had to be visiting. I didn’t expect to see this picture when I opened the file. but… there he was, my Mother’s loving companion, he had a loving personality … time… it has a way of disappearing , moments are fleeting…

Look at this bird, can you dig his/her haircut.. I was gob smacked when Michel posted this first picture, then I saw his two follow up pictures and knew I wanted to share this bird with you. Doesn’t she look like a Gertrude or maybe Harvey! Absolutely darling. You can find more of Michel Lanthier’s photos on FB https://www.facebook.com/michel.lanthier.79. He’d friended a fox, there are some great pictures of this little sweetheart on his photo pages.

I get asked why I go out everyday.. the answer is simple, I find much joy in sharing time with the wildlife, and in the nature they live in, It is in being out in the “world” that I get to experience and meet like minded “souls”… Thanksgiving is always a reminder that we have so much to be grateful, to the photographers who stand/wander in all kinds of weather, to share with us their “bounty” I send heartfelt gratitude…

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Let’s live with gratitude towards everyone and everything all day today.

Choices

Thanksgiving offering at a friend’s place. I’m glad I wasn’t there, it would have been a difficult choice on what to put on my plate. Montana is a tad far to get to for a meal, but what a spread she put out for her friends! Wow! Wonder if she made everyone eat with chopsticks! Hope if you were celebrating Thanksgiving, you had a wonderful day/evening. Now its time to carry the bounty of kindness and good cheer forward.

Always be cheerful, happy and good humored. When you make the effort to be cheerful and happy, you will naturally begin to feel that way.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American readers, in Canada we celebrated Thanksgiving in October, and in PL (Perfect Liberty) we have service every month on the 21st. (Day of Thanksgiving/Appreciation. No matter… wherever you are, feel the energy of LOVE and GRATITUDE, there is love in the world a lot of it.. We just need to give it more emphasis.. and to share our ability to bring happiness to others. Start with a smile. Smiles are infectious.
