cuteness and determination

taken by Michel Lanthier, Ottawa

When I saw this picture that Michel took I knew I had to share it, (he said OK) isn’t it a heart-breaker. Michel is a wildlife photographer here in the Ottawa area, many of his pictures are stunning, but this one… it had a WOW factor I couldn’t resist. Especially as you all know a family of racoons has been trying to redo the feeders at one location, and doing a rather good job of it… I arrived at the feeders yesterday to find that the bicycle is now in two pieces.. sigh.

This is why I began to research early what will work over the coming winter season. These past weeks I have seen possibilities, but of course, the birds who will spend most of the winter months in the area, have not started to arrive. Presently there is a different clientele =^_^=

Don’t think overly about people. Instead of being excessively concerned about others, focus on what you should do.

Value your Intuition. When you suddenly have an “a-ha” moment, or when a thought pops into your mind, it is God sending you a message. As soon as you notice something, you should act upon it right away.

This last quote is one that I try hard to practice daily, To do so, I have to also practice, “stillness” “listening” and “patience”. It is a habit to rush, to be busy, to be on the go. I am much better now, but at one time I had a day timer and it was used every day, I scheduled, planned and wrote in it every day.. Now, I seldom use one at all. Every day is a new beginning, every day we get a chance to start a new canvas or revisit an old one.. but it is a day of possibilities. My husband’s motto was always “seize the day” =^_^= He did his best to do so till the day he passed on…

No one ever said life would be easy.. but it is always interesting and AND.. FULL OF LOVE!

When we live with love in our hearts, it spreads into the world around us… =^_^=

always

  1. All beautifully said

  2. Cute kit!
Too bad they are destroying your feeders. Perhaps you might consider taking down the feeders for a few weeks to get the mammals out of the habit of coming to them? Give you a chance to give them a good cleaning and ready them for the winter season, too. We generally don’t feed in the summer and fall months as there is lots of wild food for them to eat.

  3. good morning /.. waves across the miles…. feeding won’t be till late October early November, this one area, is at the parking lot.. young children come with their parents to see the little birds that come sit on their hand to feed etc.. I try to encourage wild bird seed, and sunflower seeds, etc. seniors are good at what they bring.. but other times food that is inappropriate is left or thrown on the ground and has to be cleaned up. especially now.. coyotes are around in some areas. The extreme heat we have had is gone.. what a relief.. hope it stays gone.

  4. Great idea 😍😍😍
