red sails or Koi

What do we see when we are shown an abstract painting. Do we even see anything at all. Maybe only the colours jump out at you, is it the texture, the groupings. This is one of my latest pieces, turned in all directions. I know which side I see as up, but then when doing the photos, I saw so much else when I viewed it from the different angles.

In my mind when I started, I had the song “red sails in the sunset” running through my gray matter.. later when I stood back and looked at it again, a few days later…. I saw Koi. Each evoked different emotion and thoughts.

When you think.. “I’ve got it,” Think again. It is so easy to misinterpret the situation and jump to conclusions. Always have a humble attitude and double check to make sure.

Sunday Jan 12

The mounds you see are chip-wood, or mulch if you will. I tried to get a picture of the haze that was happening over them. If you are able to close in, I hope you will see the steam. Very interesting. When we stop to enjoy, we see “LIFE” happening.. =^_^=

Always be cheerful, happy and good humored. When you make effort to be cheerful and happy, you will naturally begin to feel that way.

rain today =^_^=

Good morning, see… a lot of “things” are forbidden, not wanted in the forest. Rain is not one of them. Rain in mid January how wonderful is that!! I am aware that it will dampen things a tad for the outdoor enthusiast that would like to X cross country ski today… It is a small blimp, we are sure to have more snow in the days and weeks ahead.

At our Doll Club meeting last Wednesday, for some reason, instead of the usual “gang” of gals, we were only five, Joan, Marge, Pat, Tanya, Barb and myself. It made for a very cosy gathering, where the agenda if there was one, was put aside, and we had a wonderful time, yes talking about dolls, but about the “history” of how dolls became a favourite over the years.

A change in what usually is, is always a great time to regroup, to sit back and do something different. i.e. Right now with the rain, the temperature is milder, most roads will be wet but clear of snow and ice. As the day progresses, towards late afternoon early evening, the temperatures will drop. Then if it is still raining, you guessed it… it will turn to freezing rain and pellets.. So by gummy and golly gee.. get out and get cracking early =^_^=

Today is January 11th. Ancestors Day is at 10:a.m. I am on my way! =^_^=

It is important to say “Thank you” Everything that appears in front of you is all material for you to improve yourself whether it’s food, people or things. Learn to accept everything whether it is something you like or not.

a day of discovery

Another day of sunshine, mild temperatures, and welcoming countryside. Savor each moment of the day. It is a gift. I searched the branches for birds, the ground for little paw prints. The day was still young. I stood and took it all in. How grateful I am that I am able to adventure the back roads and really see the beauty that can so easily go unnoticed.

I thank the UNIVERSE that I still have my sight and sense of smell. That I am strong and able to still explore the land as it is meant to be seen. I am grateful that I have a home, and a place to call my own. I will not forget to say thank you at the end of the day…. I pray for peace .. each and every day. Be kind to your fellow man… a smile goes a long way.

Wednesdsay

a chance meeting with a friend

He wasn’t prepared to stand still for me, I had groceries in my cart, my knapsack and was trying to fiddle with the camera. However you will all recognize Chico the crow, much fatter this season. He and his pals are hanging out in the WalMart parking lot. He did take my bribe of a small piece of dog treat.

I know so many of you have taken wonderful photos of crows and ravens .Let me tell you now.. each time you do, I oooh and awwww…. a friend once told me they hung out in the cemetery across from his land.. their loud choruses and what he called noise, drove him to unkind thoughts. (smile) He is a kind hearted man… the thoughts passed…

There is something mystical about them. Yes there is =^_^= They are watchful, smart, and yes at times naughty, but then aren’t we all. I was heading for church that day. After prayers I would “swear” that Chico flew into the tall evergreen outside the church windows. I saw him.. Rev. Eugene saw him. //P True Rev. E does not know Chico so he couldn’t say if it was the same crow… winks.. but you know what I think don’t you. big smile.

That is my crow story and I’m sticking to it. Do you have a crow story to share?

a new day, new beginning

the bridge

The bridge was there, only I had never thought of actually crossing it. I loved the symbolism of the bridge, and the possibilities, it just never occurred to me to cross it.

my journey across

Today I saw it in a different light, and the road beyond. It was simple really, all it took was the realization that “today” is really here. I can travel and explore beyond what, and where I have been. Life does go on. It is not by looking behind that we free our minds, but by moving ahead, into the world as it is now.

today the door opened and I walked through

I thank my son and my friends for getting me to this part of my journey. Happiness is knowing you are loved. My husband will always be in my heart and part of who I am. That will never change. Today, he held my hand and opened the door, knowing the lessons and the love we shared will carry me through the tomorrows that are before me.

PL Precept #7 Everything exists in relativity

journey continues

detour through terrain scarred with memories of the past
I was uncomfortable with what I saw and heard
the train was there, but simply wasn’t moving
the buildings, the vehicles, everything was there, except for people
then in the distance, I saw and heard the music. It was a bikini skating party! There I was with my friends Nick, Mel, Rhi, Eclair, Chloe, Chey, Sandi . oh someone has her skates on, wonder if mine are with me ..(red one piece) Then the music faded, and I was alone again.
friends were enjoying the night, but for me, I was still in my dream
I turned and headed towards daylight. Another day begins.

Don’t give up! Stick with it, as many times as it takes. Sometimes you want to just throw in the towel and say, “I give up”, but that is the time for you to dig deep and push through. Your sincere effort will invite a good outcome.

feelings

Have you ever felt that you live in a world, where no one really knows your name. OK they may know your name, but you are just another face in the crowd. This is a time of year, when family and friends gather to share memories of the past, and the possibilities that lie ahead.

I was reminded yesterday how fragile life can be. One moment you are working, living busy in a fast moving society. Then suddenly you “wake” to find that you are now on the other side of the street, and “life” seems to be passing you by. Sometimes by choice, and other times, ‘boom” for whatever reason, you just can’t get on or off the bus.

This is a “condition” that can happen to any of us. Rich or poor, it affects everyone, money is not what buys or determines how happy we are. The answers, solutions, they are all varied and different for every human being is unique. We all love, cry, laugh, and “feel”. Emotions are real.

The philosophy of the Church of Perfect Liberty is to help us recognize the ups and downs of everyday life, and help us understand our SELVES so that “we” can recognize what in US, needs fixing, repairing, strengthening. Truth is, we can only change ourselves.

Happiness begins from within, I’m a glutton for “happy”. Smiles and beams just thinking of how nice it is to be happy. And YOU dear reader, my heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of you, who share time with me during the day, night, weeks, and months. I love reading your thoughts, seeing your “visual expressions” you are “Beauty” within my world. thank you for all the happiness we’ve shared. I am looking forward to the sunshine of 2020 with you.

Share the beauty in you today, SMILE it is so becoming.
