“Now” is always the start of something new. Leave the past in the past. What is important is “What you are going to do now” Using the present as a starting point, move forward on a path towards improvement and progress. (PL2014.24)

today

Where has the day gone, as I sit and ponder the events of the day, I realized the time comes and goes so quickly, one minute it is time to get up and before I know it, it is time to call it a day. I have learned over time to try to live each moment with intent and purpose, yet no matter the day/night, when I actually stop to take in the moment.. I am surprised that much of the time came and went, and I am still looking at NOW.

Do What you can, with what you have , with where you are. (Theododre Roosevelt)

Here is a thought for you… do you agree?

Your feelings of appreciation become real when you express them. Express your feelings of appreciation by actually saying “thank You” out loud or by doing something to show how you feel. Not only will the person you are thanking feel good, but you will too, leading to better things in the future. (PL2014.210

Appreciation

Accept everything with Appreciation. Become a person who can be thankful for anything that happens to them. A person who is always thankful is a happy person. (PL2016.21)

In my wandering yesterday, I came across a book at charity. I don’t need anymore books, but you know how it is.. your eye falls on something, and after you pick it up to look at it, it somehow stays in your hand.

The life 101 series – You can’t afford the luxury of a negative thought. by John-Robert and Peter McWilliams

“Tis the good reader that makes the book; in every book he finds passages which seem to be confidences or asides hidden from all else and unmistakably meant for his ears; The profit of books is according to the sensibility of the reader; until it is discovered by an equal mind and heart. Emerson

Value your intuition. (PL2014.19)

Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

It’s easy to place the blame on others and society for the problems you encounter in life. But you are the one with the power to change the outcome. (PL2019.28)

Tuesday

I was showing this picture to a friend last night, and she remarked that it was interesting how there were no windows on the upper floor. I had not noticed when I took the picture, I was intrigued when she pointed that out, All of a sudden I had a storyline forming … and knew that many of you with creative imaginations for a harlequin romance… could have some fun with the possibilities. I searched my many photos for another view of that house.. came up empty. Spark any ideas out there?

There is always a solution. Always believe that there is a solution to any problem that comes your way, and work with conviction to solve it. (PL2016.20)

There are so many doors that I’ve come across over the years.. this one is not fancy, it isn’t part of historic site, but it is part of a very welcoming veranda .. on a busy street of a small town where tourist flock in the summer to be near the water. The lawn is always manicured and the flowering shrubs seem to always be in bloom, at least when I have been visiting the town. The chairs are placed so that the owner(s) can sit and watch the world go by.

In today’s busy world where usually everyone is in a hurry, needing to get this done, or get somewhere, I found this little bit of “tranquility” inviting. The door seemed solid, reliable and there to ensure the visitors were welcomed .. either to sit and visit on the veranda or be admitted inside. The house with the pretty veranda, inviting chairs, without the door would be “a blank wall ” .. look … without the door, there is no invitation to come and sit a spell, agree? The door is what makes the “magic”

When was the last time you sat and just watched the world go by. I mean a lazy laid back, sit and simply enjoy the moment… moment? No cell phone, iPad, tablet .. just YOU.. oh ok, maybe an ice cold beverage.
