He wasn’t prepared to stand still for me, I had groceries in my cart, my knapsack and was trying to fiddle with the camera. However you will all recognize Chico the crow, much fatter this season. He and his pals are hanging out in the WalMart parking lot. He did take my bribe of a small piece of dog treat.
I know so many of you have taken wonderful photos of crows and ravens .Let me tell you now.. each time you do, I oooh and awwww…. a friend once told me they hung out in the cemetery across from his land.. their loud choruses and what he called noise, drove him to unkind thoughts. (smile) He is a kind hearted man… the thoughts passed…
There is something mystical about them. Yes there is =^_^= They are watchful, smart, and yes at times naughty, but then aren’t we all. I was heading for church that day. After prayers I would “swear” that Chico flew into the tall evergreen outside the church windows. I saw him.. Rev. Eugene saw him. //P True Rev. E does not know Chico so he couldn’t say if it was the same crow… winks.. but you know what I think don’t you. big smile.
That is my crow story and I’m sticking to it. Do you have a crow story to share?
PL Precept # 12 Everything has a way according to its name.
The day was clear but not bright, still I saw the sculpture of a magnificent tree (the hook).. couldn’t stop, I was on the other side of the highway headed out of the city.
It isn’t all the artificial coloured lights and the tinsel that shouts to me. Joy to the World… its the views I get when I am driving in the outskirts, nature simply being itself, farm land, a farm house up on a hill, the small towns I go through, the decorated verandas and front lawns of the homes. Yes, a red barn against the horizon, even the big silos and the farm machinery sitting waiting to spring into action when they are needed.
Not only in December is it time to celebrate the glory and wonder of the Universe and the diverse and interesting world that has shaped around us, these blessings should be appreciated and shared every day.
People make this world happen. People. We are doubly blessed when we can turn to our fellow woman/man and truly say from the heart, Thank you for being YOU, and sharing this day with me. Makoto.

I did stop to take pictures on my return into the city, but the lighting by then had changed… still I knew where it was hiding… =^_^=
When the landscape beckons .. I listen … sometimes I don’t realize just exactly what I’ve captured till I get it home and see it on my screen. This is a progress (change) that i really enjoy. At one time I would see something, then have to wait till my roll of film was done, and then processed before I could see my “capture”
We are not always wanting the “changes” that develop around us, but the acceptance and the inevitability of change is something we cannot change. Change is constant. We can refuse to accept or use new technology, that is a choice we make. I can vividly recall, my horror at using a bank card. now.. well now the horror is when I can’t find my card.
Saying never, is a limitation we place on ourselves.
Friends we meet, near and far, the internet friends we have never met in person, some are as dear to us and sometimes, even more, than the world we walk in everyday.
So saying I would like to thank all the new readers and welcome you to the community that shares this “webspace” with me. To my blogger friends, your sharing is an inspiration, my world is enriched 1000 fold, having you in it. May the holiday season be a happy and joyous one for you. We are always a keystroke away. =^_^=
we are share the same root system =^_^=

Happy start to another new week! Enjoy every moment, make it count, today will never come again.
Seek and ye shall find. What a glorious day, Keeper and I did our trip to the food bank, (keeper is my female whippet). It was mild with a bit of a nip, but we didn’t mind, the roads were dry and the sky and bright blue, not a cloud in the sky. The kind of blue one gets on a soon to be winter day. The vegetation was colourful in that rustic faded autumn colours that seem to charm me, with the muted shades of brighter days.
I saw fields of harvest gold inter spaced with black wet earth. another field of a crop that was being harvested tempted me, the big machine was in motion, turning a corner as we sped by. There was enough traffic going south today, I didn’t get much opportunity to stop. I could only soak the delightful scenes in for future processing. Made a mental note to come home a different route so that I could search out, a souvenir of our expedition.
Happiness is standing on a quiet road, off the roadways that travel from town to town, and enjoying the quiet of the day. This is the property I found the tree on. You can see that for the most part, all the snow we got the last week or so, is gone. I hope that you had a restful day, that you managed quality time for YOU.
Be in tune with the changing times and evolving society The world is ever changing always strive to refresh your mind staying in step with the changing times.

taken later in the day,, temperature was dropping.
While walking the grounds at parc Omega, we came across this bench. I didn’t have time to meditate on it too much at the time, so I grabbed a photo. Looking at the photo I wonder why I took it at such an angle when perhaps doing it another way would have been “prettier”.. ie. no picnic bench or tent in the background.
It is the bench I wanted .. why because of the detail and the craftsmanship. There were many carvings, for sure I will return to see them all again. I wondered how many artists had been employed, I know what a connection I get to a piece when working with wood. I an NOT good at it, but I love handling and getting to know the piece that I am working on. Over the years, I have realized that I prefer instant gratification .. i.e. I work with acrylics and not oils. The medium suits my temperament and style of expression.
Wood has a rhythm of dance that requires a different focus and attention. My tools are still waiting, some within reach, and always somewhere is apiece of wood… patiently waiting.
Things that happen to us all have meaning. Everything that happens to us, happens for a reason. Each and every occurrence is a chance for you to improve yourself.

Remember this piece, I found it while walking that day. I badly wanted to bring it home, my friends, encouraged me to leave it in its resting place. I did, I knew that it was my passion for collecting that was”itching”.. but a captured memory,, will make do. The little woodland charmer, will be there for someone else to enjoy.
We all see the world through our personal lenses, whatever you discover, and decide to do.. make it worthwhile. Everything in life has meaning!
Two rocks, standing side by side, companions for life.. no more.. no less. Love is.
There will always be a way. As long as you are serious, there is no reason for you to give up. Move forward one step at a time and things will always turn out for the best.
The sculptures in the fall autumn settings were jaw dropping. The love of wood and what a craftsman can do with a piece of wood is something that I truly appreciate. Walking through the park I not only got to see real black bears, but the carvings of many woodland creatures.
It has been far too long since I have walked through the woods, surrounded by the falling leaves, and glorious views that are growing out of massive boulders and rock. Quebec has to be one of the most beautiful provinces in Canada (to me) when it comes to geography it blasts me away. It has a rugged beauty that can assail the senses 4 seasons of the year.
shall we share a cuppa ?
Since there is no getting out of your vehicle where the animals are, and I only had my Huawei the bears were cuddly little balls of fluff, and we know they were big waddling masses of muscles, teeth and claws. So the pictures are for reminders of that moment in time. only. We did get to see their dens, and how some liked to be social and others liked to maintain their distance This big ball of fur had a tan nose, and had placed himself high on a rock ledge overseeing his domain. Very imposing. Body language can say volumes.
