A bouquet of friendship and love from friends in Australia.

Came home from a long day yesterday to find a message from the concierge, could I come to the front desk please…. et voila…this beautiful arrangement was waiting for me.

It took me some time to get over my husband’s passing, the changes that made in my life, how I felt about my situation, what it meant to me, and how I was going to move forward. Nature, its constant ebb and flow, the seasons, flowed into one another, spring was followed by summers, summers turned golden and crimson, … winter soon followed, and before I knew it years had passed and I was still “on hold”

You all know that soon changed in the spring of this year when I woke up one day and listened to the urging of my inner voice. You have seen my posts, you’ve read my “ramblings” … one quote that I have used .. is

it was like a light bulb went on in my head. I didn’t even know that I was ready to move on with my life it just happened. To my amazing friends who helped me achieve this mammoth change from being a home owner to a renter….the real estate agency that worked to accomplish my goal, Walkerottawa.com (Michelle Walker and Carl Brunet) .. I am filled with gratitude, I could not have done it on my own. their expert consultation/guidance their action plan. The house was sold within the first couple of days.

Blessings all, till soon.

wondering

because we can’t see the ground under the ice, does that mean it isn’t there

with the ivory cover being missing, will the piano still play

will the sun ever shine again..

How authentic are we….

Life is what it is… I learned a long time ago…. even side by side looking out at the same view, no two people will ever have the same experience or see the same thing. But I learned in my lifetime, that in being true to myself, my journey is blessed… how about you?

In the silence – garden spirits (nature)keep watch…

Just because you close your eyes, the day does not disappear,,, as much as you want to believe that night won’t follow day…. or day turn to night – life is what it IS no more… no less.

musing

When we experience loss – we learn to survive

the sun keeps shining, night follows day

We wake one morning and realize, we’ve outgrown who we used to be.

We choose silence from noise – somewhere in between nothing makes sense – but we are learning

We are no longer who we were – our season is changing

In the solitude of our silence – something new is born.

Love from a place of depth

Life unfolds in its own rhythm

Letting go, means we care enough, trust and have faith in being true to Self. There is great strength in Quiet.

wonders

I used this imagine in my collage yesterday, I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but I simply do love seeing the forest take on “NEW LIFE” … The water will evaporate, the stump will dry up…. the world will present me with a whole new look in a matter of weeks. The birds that had been dropping in for visit over the cold brisk days of winter, have moved on. Occasionally a blue jay will see me and come screaming for a peanut, but all in all, the birds/animals are feeling the delicious calls of “nature” ….

Be thankful at the beginning and end of each day.

Each and everyone of your actions can inspire peace within your family, your community and the world around you. This peace will eventually help lead to world peace.

Barred owl

It was very humbling yesterday to realize that the owl was comfortable with my presence at the base of his tree. The chickadees were singing and going back and forth between us. It was really unreal, I was totally mesmerized by it all. He watched me walk away to give the jays their peanuts… the doves, and woodpeckers were happy to get on with breakfast…. He just watched us and seemed content to be part of the morning activities. It ended when a couple of birdwatchers drove up and we got into human conversation. He spread his wings and took off. He was magnificent.

This was was my third encounter with him. Every meeting has been one that seems contrived. Fanciful thinking on my part, maybe… but the encounters are treasured! When he spread his wings he was so majestic.

Photo was taken with my cell phone I was that close

the 13th.

Snow..lots of it… you won’t melt, get out and enjoy it. The snow falling is light and fluffy, there is breeze that blows the feathery snow around.. kind of magical. It had to have been a steady downfall, it is the first time that I’ve had to sweep out the snow from the feeders with a little brush. Swept it off the domes too.

The snow started falling in the evening and we’re told it will continue till late afternoon. A really fun day to be on the slopes or snow shoeing across open fields. An afternoon by a cozy fire, the flames snapping and crackling creating an ambient sound that is relaxing…a lazy stay at home day… your choice.

Ohhhhh sooo happy, the plow just did a first pass on my laneway… Whoooo hoooo, that means I’ll be able to get out..

We are all wonderful in our own way

Although results are important your effort is what is truly precious.

Ok everyone, now I can get going,,, heading out… have a great day …

LOL.. still will have to shovel the snow from the garage door, the plow can only get so close.

If the snow is falling in your area.. be careful, stay safe.

do u know?

Some furry scampered across the freshly fallen carpet of snow. Any ideas?
