Chop Suey Tuesday 18th

First I want to thank you all or your birthday wishes. I was away for a birthday outing yesterday, when I came back I was overwhelmed by all the messages and good wishes. Wow, it is going to be super awesome year, I have been jet propelled into a new year. I am truly blessed, I say thank you each and every day!

While some look for pristine, blank pages, I work at making mine look old, and sometimes, like here, I strive to make rust, and dirty a page, this is my playtime. Yesterday was spent visiting places in west of downtown Montreal, looking for paint, inks, and any and all other artistic, creative tools, to be found, It was an all day event that I got to share with two like-minded friends, needless to say, it was a lot of fun.

Every person is unique, we each and every one of us, expresses ourselves in our own way. What rocks one person, can be a total turn off to the other, yet when we are on a search and find mission, the enthusiasm of the other person’s excitement when they have found something that has fired up their enthusiasm for their craft, that is catching. It is smiles all around.

In our travels as we headed back towards Ottawa, I found Catnip who I knew would be perfect for my October Fright journal.

Sharing happiness with friends is a blessing. What better way to share a birthday celebration, Catnip will always remind me that my 2018 birthday was not only great. It lasted for days, Today I am off on another adventure.

Good Sunday morning dear friends.

Day 15 – PL Calendar – Being attentive makes life more enjoyable.

Live life paying careful attention to every detail be it big or small. By doing so, you will be able to experience the subtle joy in things.

That said, I began the world with a visit to a long ago time, in a galaxy far far away. I now know what an ewok is. Cute little fellows, and very good warriors. The little story I read had them fighting biker scouts. Have to admit that I found that the biker scouts were interesting. Best of all I liked a character called Chewie. If you are a Star Wars fans you by now realize that this is a brand new world for me.

Golly Gee Mollie, where have I been =^_^= Goes to show we are never too old to learn about new galaxies, and the worlds that live in or on them.

I learned that there is a forest moon. How cool is that! The Ewok is small, furry and lives in the forest. Sigh every day is so exciting when you can learn about such amazing new characters ..there is such an incrediable amount of talent out there, I can’t wait to make new discoveries.

What about you, have you taken on anything new? Do you think about new ways to do things that you have being doing in a routine fashion? One of my upcoming challenges will be to do a character doll for the month of October, Doll Club meeting.

Challenge yourself, You have so much unused creativity, step outside your comfort zone, live life to the fullest. Can’t wait to read or hear about your adventures.

How are you

While out driving the other day. I reflected on that question myself. We are asked, at least I am, on a fairly regular basis. I was out driving the back roads, and needed to find my way, or get my bearings. After a while, the farm land was starting to all look the same. In other words I was getting weary, and needed a change. Searching the skies I saw a steeple off in the distance, in the countryside here, both in Quebec and Ontario, you can always count on a church steeple to guide you towards “civilization”

It was a peaceful day for me, and certainly the quiet appeal of the church sitting, basking in the sun, added to my “mood”. The manicured lawn and large paved entrance was a huge contrast to the visions I had been enjoying on the back roads. Another visual of the differences in life.

I am fine, thank you to all who have asked. Life IS different, my personal space has been reconfigured. To that end, all my past experiences, adventures, and lessons have served me well. Possibly the enormity of the change has not quiet fully dawned on me, but it is present. I feel it, and I do intellectually “know” it. So yes I am fine, but am I REALLY fine,I think it is too soon to tell. No one can predict the future. And, every day is NEW.

No two friendships are alike, therefore, how I am although influenced at times by my immediate circle of friends, changes, why, because at the core of it all is ME. And the secret I am sharing, is that Me, myself and I is constantly being kept busy with the help of the Universe, with reminders that I am never alone. Service yesterday at the church, where the ceremony of appreciation to our Ancestors and those who have helped us become who we are, was performed. For me was very calming and spiritually refreshing.

For that is a focused prayer of appreciation and thanks to all my family. friends, past and present who make me the person I am today. I like me, and I really and truly do appreciate each and every one of you, for you touch me in ways that transcend mortal definitions. Love is PEACE.

an early birthday surprise….

Many years ago, I would not have known who Neymar Jr was, nor would I have wanted a futbol shirt. See how time changes us. Time and the various experiences we live shape our development. A stint in a Spanish country, a visit to the French seaside, life is full of possibilities. Each step we take outside our comfort zone, makes us stronger.

Tomorrow the 11th. in PL we will be celebrating Ancestors day. In some countries it is already tomorrow. For my many friends on the same time-table as myself, wake to a new day, and be thankful for who you are today.

Show your appreciation by giving back to the world around you.

Once more I saw the open doorway, showing me the path to the other side, this time I dared to wander closer.

There was a silence in the air, yet, there was a breeze and the bird (on the right) made a soft cooing sound as he flew by. His bright feathers so fitting against the blue skies

As I walked my feet made no sound, yet the grass beneath my feet was soft and lush.

The pathway was inviting, I gladly let it lead the way.

Around each corner a new discovery. Can you imagine my delight.

I felt rather than saw the light that seemed to guide me along through the growth that surrounded me on all side. I knew no fear, I felt content and aware of the life around me.

There was much to see and take in. Such creativity, such vision.

When I entered a great hall, I felt small, I was one of many to stand within the walls, I stood alone at that moment in time, yet in my heart I knew, I was not alone. I was surrounded by each and every one of you. See you are here now. . Just not at the moment I was there. (smiles and winks)

There is much to see, enjoy, learn, and share as we grow as human beings and wandering souls. Don’t be afraid to share and love the ALL that you are. Dreams are part of our reality. Whether you believe, or not.

cukes 4

you are right’

there is not a blueberry in sight

the cukes are fine

certainly not the same

is a nickel a dime?

oh gosh and darn

maybe a tomato, cucumber sandwich will do

nope, the thought does not appeal

Only blueberries will calm

so sound the alarm

I will be up at dawn

for that sweet, tantalizing taste

of fresh blueberries sold by the case

Sometimes we just have to make do

there are no blueberries, there is nothing to do, but wait.

tomorrow will be another day. tomorrow will come and I will no longer want blueberries.. maybe? What do you think?

Greetings every one, Que lindo dia!

When is a mound of earth, not just a heap of dug up and discarded earth. When I find it and love it!!! No this is not the same picture of the other day, this is the same mound, but I am standing at a different place and closer …

How often have you heard me say, two people looking at the very same landscape, will not see the same things. Nor will their attention be drawn to the same area, or focus point, it is impossible.

Just as I see life my way, and you see life in your own way. we live and experience life very differently, even though we share the same blue skies, maybe we even live in the same part of the world, in close proximity.

Life is different for each and every one of us. How we live, our acceptance of the challenges and opportunities, that is also unique to “us”. That is why it (life) is so interesting, every day is a new opportunity to discover something new.
