Nature has many faces, depending on where we are at a given time, what we will see and experience , are miles apart, different in every way, yet beautiful at the same time.

With the many prayers and healing thoughts coming our way, how can we not be enriched in every way, by the thoughtful and caring generosity of our friends.

My sister in law was a strong resourceful woman, she battled with medical problems what seems like forever. Yet she raised her family, say her children marry, and then the blessing of grandchildren. Had she stayed around, she and my brother in law would have celebrated I believe their 49th. anniversary.

The last few years saw her visiting the train station, more than I’m sure she wanted to, but an intelligent woman, she knew that a journey was soon to come. I never failed to marvel at her sense of “life” no matter her physical limitations, she always had an aura of vibrancy and life the emanated from her. Everyone who met her, dealt with her, enjoyed her presence. Even in the greatest discomfort, she made you feel welcome by her side. A “true lady”, genteel, she will be greatly missed.

She was a ray of sunlight that shone just a tad brighter than most.

The last few days, we saw the skies cloud over, we felt the murmur and call of the Universe.

One night the stars shone extra brightly, the next morning, we knew, she had spread her wings and flown home where she will shine down on us from up above.

The sunbeams that dance across the lakes, and caress the changing seasons, will always be a bit of Georgina, reminding us, she is not far away, Her legacy and faith in “life” will always BE.

LOL the howling month approaches. Love end of September, and all of October. Witches, goblins, spiders and bright vivid shades of oranges, blood reds and black. It is time to dig out the dies, stencils and paints. Yahoooo where is the glue.

OK so not everyone is enthusiastic and carries on like I do. But a roll of big bright ribbon with pumpkins and black cats… wow what a blast. here they are ready to be part of my stash

I had so much fun, just finding the right shadows to go with the ribbons.

Having fun is what life is all about. Happiness is… living each moment to the fullest. At one time I would have cropped out or photo shopped out shadows etc. Now I find that they are part of the moment, so I leave them in.

I found a picture of some torn canvas that I had happily ripped into shreds for a project. I think I still have some, so will go in search of what is left. I feel a new project coming on.. inspiration is rounding the corner. Time to rock and roll!!!!

or could it be, he has just returned

from playing in the clouds

Happy Thursday morning all.

I went to take a picture yesterday of a door. That was my intention, unfortunately, I drove by, missed the laneway, and could not get back. It was rush hour in Ottawa, and for some reason, where usually traffic flowing west on this road, is usually pretty good at this time of day, yesterday it wasn’t. Missed opportunity. I will go back another time.

Last night, looking for something else, look what I found. No, no way it is a door, but gall darn, could I figure out what it was. I know it is familiar. but it just wouldn’t come to me. Certainly I was intrigued.

This morning with a new day on the horizon, I had a “bingo” moment.

How I managed this, I’ll have to ponder on a bit longer. Does anyone out there, recognized what this is?

Life is full of surprises. We need only take out our phones sometimes, to discover a whole new world. For sure we meet new friends =^_^= My Chinese name, associates me with the moon, I believe that a “moon spirit” has drifted into my virtual world……

Our thanks to you all for your prayers, and healing thoughts, my husband begins his “treatments” next week, starting on Monday. 23 days of radiation and 5 weeks of chemo. We appreciate each and everyone of you!

homemade Gazpacho 9.2017

Good evening everyone…

With a busy day, a stressful afternoon, and a stomach that was being quirky, I just wanted to zone out… crash in my recliner and daydream. It wasn’t happening, my mind just wouldn’t settle. So, I called my sister. She had just made herself a yummy lunch (different time zone) of freshly made Gazpacho with fresh produce and some tasty pasta.

In her part of California, they were experiencing record highs (heat) so she came up with a zesty dish she could enjoy chilled. Talking about her recipe and the thought of something similar I was inspired to get up and check out what was in my kitchen.

deck flower 3 To my delight when I looked out on the deck I saw that a plant we had been nurturing for the last couple of years had bloomed. Wow… I had no idea, I found the plant next to a dumpster in the West End, looking very pathetic, didn’t know what it was, but I saw it, and another plant that looked like a vine, Liked the look of them so brought them home.

They have been watered, and simply tended. In the spring they go out on the deck and in the fall they come in. Nothing was expected of them. The vine grows nice big green leaves, they fall off during the winter, and return in the spring, no more no less. The one you see above, looked like it was just surviving, When I saw the bloom it was a real treat. I put out a “what is this” on Instagram, my cousin in Halifax replied “hibiscus”

Isn’t family wonderful!

We always have choices, we can dwell on negatives, or we can enjoy the positives, show appreciation and be rewarded, with more happiness and contentment in our daily lives.

Movati 8.31.17 Magical

Futuristic, a playground for my “Me” time. I’ve gone back to the gym. My favourite place, my get away Movati Athletic … It was time, I’ve been back a couple of days now, and it is wonderful. Staff have changed, the older carpet has been replaced, still the magic of the place is intact.

Having started with them back in the late 90’s when they opened, it was where I wanted to be. I went up to the co-ed floor today, a must for me, it means walking up the flight of stairs, there is an elevator, but the whole idea is for me to start rebuilding my whole over-all “body”.

My fit bit was very happy, I finally met and exceeded my goal that I had set for myself. =^_^= sparkles went off when I looked at my figures.. Yay!!!!

On my way home from errands, I went into on of my “haunts” and woweeeee I found a Madame Alexander Doll (2014) She was not in the best shape, her hair was a total mess, and all frizzy. Her body was scuffed and marked, but…. never having had one to check out up close and personal, I brought her home. She has been bathed and washed, and her hair cleaned, but it will be awhile before I get all the knots and frizz under control, IF it can be done.

Took items to the church for the upcoming garage sale, remember everyone, mark your calendars, September 16, Saturday from 8 am – 2 pm. 1010 Hunt Club, Ottawa,On. Church of Perfect Liberty

Icing on the cake… I got home to find a big happy balloon tied to a floral dish garden. Thoughtful friends in Australia, reached across the globe, with their love and healing prayers. Muah darlings, I will write soon.

My husband and I have been overwhelmed with the love and friendship that has been coming our way. This is a journey that is truly blessed in many many ways. We our humbled by the love that has transcended the distance of geography and time. Thank you for letting us know, we are not alone.

Usually Velcro will nestle down into his blankets for his night-time sleep. This is our boy now that he wants to make sure his “Mom” is OK. He positions himself where he can make sure I’m alright, and if I move or get up.. he’s watching and listening. We both miss our Canaille.

Keeper c 8.23.17 This beautiful gal is one of the whippets we visited the other day. Look how amazing her colouring is. Her top coat a soft fawn, with a delightful pattern of dots showing through. There is something very humbling about how a dog will engage in an interaction with a human. She is standing here with her trainer, happy to share the limelight with him. Unconditional love.

It wasn’t till we adopted Velcro that we discovered the world of whippets and sight hounds.

When we open our hearts and lives to new possibilities, it is always amazing to discover that there is love all around.
