allergy season
Tired, stuffed up, tired, watery eyes, did I mention tired…ugh but of course, it is allergy season. Having lived a life time with allergies, how on earth can I not have realized… it is the time of year when my allergies come to call and unfortunately stay awhile.
Let’s begin today with a smile. Let’s start the day with a positive outlook, looking forward to what we can discover.

Thursday doors
Two places of worship. Although very different in architecture, the doors to the buildings are used regularly, and the ambiance and feeling of sanctuary and peace is ever present. The paved meditation/walking circle is at t he United church. The cross is part of their gardens in the front of the church. For now during Covid the door being used to enter the building is kept locked, but one can ring the bell for assistance at the side door.

Wednesday 9th
Ever felt like you are caught between a rock and a hard place. This has been my position these last 48 some hours. I’ve been doing this blog since 2012 and overall have been pleased with WP. In fact I’ve been happy, blogging along, with no major disruptions or problems. Then out of nowhere, I couldn’t load anything, it was so frustrating, it took awhile but finally the reason became clear, I am a premium member (means I pay monthly for the service) What I had not realized was that there was a maximum storage associated with the account. Ah…. what to do.
Yesterday I got my second Covid shot, and truthfully all I wanted to do was sleep. So that is what I did, this morning I got on with the WP csr.. and found out my options. To reduce my storage means I go back to 2012 and start deleting .. it is simple enough, once I understood what I needed to do, but it is a loooong process. Hours later I have barely scraped the top of the bucket. I will persevere.
You can freely express yourself within the rules. (sigh I’m finding this out) Consider rules as a canvas on which to express your specialty artistically.

I can be thankful that for so many years I have been basically problem free. Now I have to reconsider my plan of action going forward. This is good because it means I have to look at what I’ve been doing, and decide if this is still the way I want to proceed.
We are still experiencing very hot, weather, the forecast is for it to cool down to more seasonable temperatures over the next few days. For those able to attend, we will have service on the 11th. Ancestor’s day at 10 a.m.

Everything will be just fine.. With a positive attitude anything is possible.

When I first saw this picture that Num (NumOttawa on Instagram) posted I wanted to write a love sonnet, a sentiment of caring and adoration, I was so inspired. I didn’t do it, I put the idea aside and .. yup, l lost the moment.

How often have I had an idea in the middle of the night, wake enough to think I should write it (notebook and pen are right there by the bed) I don’t do it, thinking I’ll remember, I don’t.
Yesterday I went for my second covid shot.. I got the appointment in the morning, for 5:10 that afternoon. Booking online you then have to wait for confirmation that your request was accepted and that you are confirmed. There were public announcements bookings were not happening the city was out of vaccines, people couldn’t get through to the call in centres, or if they did they were told sorry, call back. It was a day of waiting and hoping that mine would happen. It did. Whew… so relieved.
But somehow during the day, I lost the TV remote. Don’t ask I have no idea, how, why or where, it is not to be found anywhere, I’ve looked and searched to no avail. At one time, there were two of us looking, my friend who drove me for my shot.. helped turn everything upside down too.. nothing. The two heads are better than one, didn’t work.. sigh.
So guess what, it is time to tell myself “things happen” and yes its darn inconvenient, but accept it I must and move on

I loved his blog this morning, it talks about Shinto in Japan, and how in building and in ancient tradition, there is a belief about the supernatural beings who live in the forests, woods, and on the lands. I grew up with similar teachings in the Taoist tradition. When I first met Mr. Grump, I was struck with the thought that had I had a pencil I would have drawn a smile on his face.. of course I could not, and would not do that, that would be like writing on someone’s walls, or walking up to someone and putting a happy face on their forehead. Mr. Grump had that look that said, I need a hug. Humans as we mature, are much better at hiding when we/they need a hug. and… of course these days, hugs are hard to come by.
Do everything willingly and joyfully.. your upbeat attitude will make things more cheerful and enjoyable.
