Day of Peace

!st of every month. In Perfect Liberty we have a special service/ceremony… we pray for World Peace and dedicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings in our own worlds which include our home, school,work and community

Today the 1st is in the month of April and on our calendar here I see that this week, tomorrow for many it is Palm Sunday and later in the week, Passover and Friday is Good Friday leading to Easter week-end. A special time indeed for many.

I found a quote from Winnie the Pooh, A.A. Milne. “When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles”

How beautiful the world is when we can look around and feel the caring and love of friends/friendships. Some where tho’ there will be someone who needs a kind word or a smile today. If you can be that someone who can share a smile or offer a kindness, please…. try. A smile is priceless when it comes from the heart.

Let’s pray for World Peace. The path to world peace will open up with each person’s prayer for peace.

Good Morning ?Hola!

“Don’t worry, I’ll come to you”, as he/she makes its way towards me, there is a huge puddle (maybe two and a half car lengths and maybe a good 4 -10 inches deep in places) between where I was getting the feed out of the back of my car. I did wade the water and he/she followed me back to the upper area where the other birds were all feeding.. The water could be a problem I heard grumbling that recommendation could be made to shut the parking lot down while it is so “wet”. This morning while it is still on the “cold” side, I’ll brave the darkness and head out soon. The water may still be ice.

BTW, am not a big telly fan, but while I waited last night to meet up with friends, I sat and watched a taped segment of The Masked Singer… I missed the performance but at the unmasking .. I was delighted to see Dick Vandyke, he is 93 now.. wow.. he was still so vibrant and full of energy. His voice was still holding up, he did a few bars of the Mary Poppins song, superfragilistic superallydocious. Inspiration for sure.

We all, no matter our age, have noticed how with each passing year, our bodies show signs of wear and tear. 93 .. yes he looked fragile, but he was never a heavy or big man, he was always tall and lean. Kudos to him for doing such a high energy show and allowing us to enjoy him once more.

That is what life is about isn’t it. Taking each day and doing our best to live it in the most memorable way we can.

today 15th.

Good morning everyone, this time change is not happening smoothly – my darn body just doesn’t want to go along with it this time. I don’t recall having this problem before. I simply do not want to be out driving in the dark, and at this time of the morning it is D A R K .

LOL.. the calendar is supporting me on this….

Express your feelings straight away. It will be good if you could express your feelings as they are to people around you, when you are happy or when you are troubled. Also it will be a good chance for you to get to know others.

Why….

There is something so magical about watching the sun make its appearance . A brand new day. New beginning, a fresh perspective, how wonderful the moment is when you see it between the trees teasing and tempting. There is no way I can ignore the majesty of it all.

There isn’t another car in sight, I slow down, looking for that perfect moment to stop the car… of course when I get out of the car, my view is different, and I have to walk around the car and walk up or back down the road to see if I can catch the glowing ball of fire before it drifts out of my sight.

The birds are quiet today, ok, well not all of them, the nuthatch are not carrying on, but the Jays are being absolutely silly. I’ve spoiled them, usually as soon as I get out of the car, I throw out handfuls of peanuts in a shell. LOL … now they expect it.. The evening grosbeaks are being patient, I can hear one or two of them begin their song. But… I’m still focused on getting a picture… which I did.. and only then did I dutifully go tend my charges.

Get things started with Grit. If you work on things in daily life with the attitude of “let’s do it!” you will feel a power to accomplish things. People around you will rely on you.

I have been tired a lot of late. So much so, it has been a bit of a worry. YET the Vitamines D and B the magnesium and and and.. that were recommended sit on my counter. Not being opened or used. What is it with me (part of me) anyway! What I have been doing, is still cleaning up (per Chinese New Year tradition) and yesterday…. finally…. I took out the “brasso” (cleaner) and cleaned my prayer bowls.

Little steps right….

Snow, blowing snow, high winds, visibility is not good, roads are not all cleared, the cold temperatures means that under the fresh snow is the possibility of black ice, there are hidden dangers out there.

The path to achievement is “to start with what you can do” try to find out what you an do towards challenges in your own situation. This will pave the way for achievement.

Today being a Friday and the 13th. it has the promise of being a grand day. The temperature is rising, yes there is snow, but it is not freezing cold out there, it is nice. If you can’t get out, find something to do that you’ve been putting off. I know I am not alone.. there are a lot of other people out there who thrive on enjoying the 13th when it rolls around and on a Friday!
