The world is not only full of colour, but provides us with an abundance of textures, variation on shades and so much more, Yes there is beauty in a flower, but the subtle shading of the vegetation that often is the back drop for a flower(s), is more lasting, and enduring. Changing with the season we can never be bored. We need to see beyond transient beauty. The icing though good, and often very pretty, would be nothing without the cake. It exists because of the cake.

When is a mound of earth, not just a heap of dug up and discarded earth. When I find it and love it!!! No this is not the same picture of the other day, this is the same mound, but I am standing at a different place and closer …

How often have you heard me say, two people looking at the very same landscape, will not see the same things. Nor will their attention be drawn to the same area, or focus point, it is impossible.

Just as I see life my way, and you see life in your own way. we live and experience life very differently, even though we share the same blue skies, maybe we even live in the same part of the world, in close proximity.

Life is different for each and every one of us. How we live, our acceptance of the challenges and opportunities, that is also unique to “us”. That is why it (life) is so interesting, every day is a new opportunity to discover something new.

you have heard the expression ‘pretty as a picture’ this sure appealed to me, when I saw it on our Japanese calendar I took a photo and used it for one of my blogs

That was a while ago, and today if you ask me what it says…. I have no idea… I would have at the time because someone would have translated it for me.

Yesterday, during service, while everyone was taking in the moment, I felt a ~current of change~ while I still was aware of all that was going on and being said, a part of me-disassociated. I don’t know how else to describe it. It was much like revisiting the above picture, knowing it, knowing I liked the sentiment, but what it was escaping saying me.

Usually I would have shared this with members, but for some unknown reason (to me) then, and still now, I fell silent. That silence stayed with me for over an hour. I interacted yes, but that niggling feeling remained, disappearing only after I got home.

It like being connected and being disconnected at the same time.

Wisdom is a divine endowment – not a human acquisition

Happiness is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to deal with it

Found this quote in one of my profiles. I for some reason, did not note where I got it from, but the words aren’t mine, however, at the time, I must have connected with the sentiment.

There are days when I feel like “ I am” on a stage … that I am rehearsing or going through a chapter that is “in progress”. For sure, what I am living is my personal experience. Today while in meditation, I revisited, or tried to, my interpretation of an event that is yet to happen. Then the spotlight shone down on me, and I knew I had to be in the present. To succeed I have to be present.

Every frame of the “scenes” being lived, needed my focus on the present if I was to even “live” to experience the pending “event”

Ah life, it is a beautiful exhilarating happening, isn’t it.

Enjoy the first day of a new month.
