walks in forgotten places

Good morning, bom dia, at the start of another beautiful day. 8 in my world is considered a lucky number. I just happened to have my camera ready when Nick had his back turned. Nick is one of a pair. Mel his beautiful and talented wife was, we soon discovered, watching us from other part of the museum where she was stuck behind a short wall. It was my good fortune that the two decided to take a day trip up to visit. Heck they only live some 11, 12 hours away. Let me tell you they are very special.

I got to see a lot of interesting exhibits as we wandered the museum, but the greatest gift for me was to share time with friends that I have grown to love. They bring such caring and open sharing when they are visiting. Every visit is like a homecoming. The laughter is genuine, such friendships are treasured.

Possessions can be acquired, They can be enjoyed and cared for, but having good friends, and time spent in warm, comforting camaraderie. That is a blessing. It was a wonderful visit, I thank them both.

PL calendar day 7 Don’t strain, don’t rush, and don’t be greedy

When you are doing something, you may rush things to get good results quickly. Instead, relax and enjoy he process.

I can only imagine how as the friendship grows, we will appreciate even more our differences, and our sameness.

One of life’s lessons, to be practiced and lived – appreciate differences, everyone is unique, share with an open heart.

Bonjour, Bom dia, greetings, Sunday 4th. November

Words are wonderful, words can do so much, however, as I wrote about my adventure to and from Montreal the other day, my thoughts were in colours. Try as I might, I wanted somehow to express the emotions of colours in a more tangible way. I have a canvas on the go too, but am not ready to show you yet. I am on stage 3 or 4 with this book cover. This will be my November December art journal, or Junk journal, whatever, which ever it is a book I will use to play “art” in.

That means that I will play with it, use it, daily or when the time is there for me, to interact with it.. and allow it to become. =^_^=

When we love what we do, or are doing, it may have its “opportunities” but we will creatively enjoy each step of the way, learning all the way.

PL calendar day 4 Enthusiasm will make things interesting

When you put your whole heart into what you are doing, you will begin to notice many important details and your creativity will blossom.

Thursday Doors

Happy Thursday everyone.. Bom dia.

Some doorways have a very open and spacious entrance. Others are more “this is what you get” and the tenants do their best to make it welcoming.

Then you leave the town and head out into the open country, the sights and sounds are very different. Yet always there are doors.

I got a tad turned around in my outing yesterday, found myself south when I should have been heading east. Ah who cared, I was out exploring and best of all, the sights of the fall colours was awesome. Meet my new friends…

He was a brilliant conversationalist, (both males) the blonde was less talkative. Sigh pleasures come from the most unexpected places. =^_^=

Remember, we are all responsible for the choices we make in life. Take time today to swing your happy into high gear. Happiness is a powerful positive energy.

PL Calendar day 25…. If you skimp on the paint, your painting will not turn out well. Live a fulfilled life every day by utilizing things, money, your knowledge or energy to their fullest.

Greetings on Sunday

fright drucilla May the day shine brightly for you. Sunday and we are not having a service this morning, because of the service last evening. What does one do on a Sunday morning, when there is no service. I to Drucilla’s displeasure, decided to play with my paint and other supplies to start on a makeover for her. I have told her that this is therapeutic for both of us, but her silence tells me, …. it is all in my head.

Tomorrow begins another month. October. The leaves have started to change, when driving the back roads yesterday, I saw more sights of reds peaking through the evergreens. Actually not only the various shades of red, but the yellow orange hue were also taking over the fresh greens of the summer. The camera buffs who have been slumbering through the sweltering summer, will be polishing off their lenses to take full advantage of the fall display that will soon be in full bloom. I confess, I love, LOVE the autumn season, here in Canada where we get four different seasons, the fall months tantalize and delight me.

With that in mind I will be on the watch this morning, for “something” to catch my “eye” while I am out driving along the river, into rural Ontario. Some time, when you are inclined to do so, you must tell me how you mange to drive and “catch” that perfect moment, when there is other traffic on the road… =^_^=

If I could make this lesson, flash with neon lights, I would do so, I think the mice are back, or trying to come back in As you know, it took a long time to rid this house of the little “devils”…. So! mon ami, it looks like we will again, take on the capturing of mice.

I have spent my evenings with Poirot (Agatha Christie} audio books, so delightful!

sim entendo, yes I understand

Good morning, Bom dia dear friends. How often do we say these words, yet when we give it more thought, we realize that maybe we didn’t really “get it” or understand it, the way the person was explaining it to us. Because a lot of my creative expressions that are visual, are abstract, when I am done I have a feeling of satisfaction I can sit back and see all the many possibilities of what, if anything, had been going through my conscious mind, while I “played”

The other day, I had so much pent-up unproductive energy that I simply exploded, verbal garbage and anger past and present erupted. Such is life, when we least expect it, poof the angry dragon appears. Fortunately I am blessed with a happy dragon, and she is more powerful than her counterpart. She knows the angry dragon doesn’t have the staying power. WE, my dragons and I are happy munchkins.

In PL, we know that Each Moment is a Turning Point. PL Precept 18

Don’t let a negative moment in the day, ruin your day, accept it and move on.

Chop Suey Tuesday 18th

First I want to thank you all or your birthday wishes. I was away for a birthday outing yesterday, when I came back I was overwhelmed by all the messages and good wishes. Wow, it is going to be super awesome year, I have been jet propelled into a new year. I am truly blessed, I say thank you each and every day!

While some look for pristine, blank pages, I work at making mine look old, and sometimes, like here, I strive to make rust, and dirty a page, this is my playtime. Yesterday was spent visiting places in west of downtown Montreal, looking for paint, inks, and any and all other artistic, creative tools, to be found, It was an all day event that I got to share with two like-minded friends, needless to say, it was a lot of fun.

Every person is unique, we each and every one of us, expresses ourselves in our own way. What rocks one person, can be a total turn off to the other, yet when we are on a search and find mission, the enthusiasm of the other person’s excitement when they have found something that has fired up their enthusiasm for their craft, that is catching. It is smiles all around.

In our travels as we headed back towards Ottawa, I found Catnip who I knew would be perfect for my October Fright journal.

Sharing happiness with friends is a blessing. What better way to share a birthday celebration, Catnip will always remind me that my 2018 birthday was not only great. It lasted for days, Today I am off on another adventure.

Thursday Doors

Thursday doors is a feature of Norm’s blog Norm 2.0, I really love to be able to share, my love of doors, these were solid and welcoming even if somewhat stern.

The next two pictures were taken in the town of Rockland itself, didn’t get the doors up close, I enjoyed the possibilities from my bench on the other side of the street, a lot of traffic for a small town, but did manage one of the former manse without a moving vehicle. Nice way to spend a sunny day. Lounging =^_^=
