Put your heart into your words. Do you tend to speak in just a matter- of -fact tone? It is important to put your heart into your words

“When you meet your friend on the roadside or in the market place, let the spirt in you move your lips and direct your tongue ” (the Prophet, Kahlil Gibran)
There is a quiet that transcends all else when you can stand in the middle of the forest and simply take in the moment. The birds are eating .. they are busy off in the distance, the snow is still falling, you are alone on the trail, everything is fresh and covered in a blanket of white. I love these moments… it was true, roads were a mess, driving wasn’t the best… but.. all of you at one time or another has had such moments where you have simply been awed by nature and her all encompassing beauty.
Start today with a fresh outlook. Even though people and situations may look the same, they are constantly changing. Start each day with a fresh mind.
It is easier to adapt to something when we find it interesting. No matter how enjoyable a situation is, a slight change in our attitude can make it boring. Let’s face any situation with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Sometimes there is more said in silence than with words.
Let’s trip down memory lane. Every door is a story in itself, put it is always part of what we are looking at. See if any of these doors today, tickle your fancy and send you back to another time and place.
I really do believe that this one likes to pose for me. He will set himself apart and then just pose giving me time to take his picture… all sides =^_^= … It doesn’t earn him rewards just praise and admiration.
When the camera gets put away, he will saunter off being very nonchalant. No, I cannot tell them apart once they are gathered in a group.. not yet anyway. I have to admit to being fond of them, now when I see them when I’m walking a trail, I stop and visit.. a few of them will be social, others will turn and run off towards their “pals”.. they have the cutest way of running. The other day I was treated to two of them actually flying off into the trees. It was my first time to see them lift off and fly a distance.. they are a delightful bird.
I have a question, there is a big (I think) wasp nest hanging high up on a tree at one of the sites I go to, I watched it the other day swaying in the wind. It is big, how do they suspend it and with what?
Make today a memorable day. Let’s try to put our whole heart into whatever we say or do, as our unique signature.

Make a point of smiling, it relaxes the face and can alter your brain and body chemistry, It can also have a positive effect on the way people react to you.
Who says these wonderful birds don’t have personalities. This beauty was showing off for me today, and I was lucky enough to get my cell out for a picture. Since I get to see them now almost every morning, I am getting used to them, and them to me… I put out a product called bird butter that I get from a specialty shop.. I apply it to the bark of trees for the woodpeckers and smaller birds. Today, my attention was called to look over to where I had just applied it.. to see not a woodpecker, but….
pecking away at the bird butter
They are proving to be delightful critters, they are playful and naughty, curious and as you can see by the top pictures.. they can be hams/showoffs. they were seen eyeing the back of my car where the birdseed is stored (my trunk lid was up)… so far I’ve seen them with their necks outstretched, but they have kept a distance. I’ll be watching them. =^_^=
Be in tune with the feelings of others. Let’s start by trying to understand other peoples’ feelings.
Yes I cheated and put one piece on top of the other.. it was a lovely moment in time, I was wandering around enjoying the open skies, most of the leaves had fallen in the area I was walking…. I could see the fallen soldiers (from that huge storm we had in the spring). Made for a very different landscape from what I had known in the past.
We will never again be able to return to what was… we can only move forward. The forestry personnel have been in tidying up … with the leaves down, we can now really see just how many of the older trees fell over with the strong winds. AND when looking closely, we see just how scarred and battle worn they were. Especially their bodies, how over the years/seasons they had endured a zillion strikes/blows.. they also provided shelter and shade, now they are left to simply BE. Some in pieces, and others just left bare to accept the fate that will come their way.
