statements

Ever wonder what to do with some of the mail you get. I have decided to use my MC statement to work on a mixed media piece. On the right is the first go round, the left is the second, now letting it dry. Will work on it more when I am back in the studio/office later today.

I have gone mostly electronic, however, this being a new account till I am happy with my use of the card, I will continue to monitor with hard copy. Meanwhile for those of us who dabble in mixed media, its perfect for ripping, and reusing.

After days on end of brilliant clear skies, it seems we are in for some rain, the humidity factor out there is HEAVY. Perfect day for indoor activity and getting errands done that don’t require being outdoors. Oh dear, the pot holder rack in the kitchen is sending me winks and smiles.

I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

exposure

I’ve used his text, from his book The Beauty of life… in a different context, but if you will reflect.. we take what once was perhaps not beautiful, but a functional, and attractive building … put up signs, then go away and just ignore it.

We all lead “busy” lives.. or least we often feel like we are always dealing with hustle and bustle in some form or another.

A friend wrote and reminded me that on the 24th of July, it is Self Care Day! Yes, who knew, I certainly didn’t. she sent me a link to a Zoomer page. It was written by Vivian Vassos, July 21st, 2020 https://www.everythingzoomer.com/health/2020/07/21/self-care-7-ways-to-take-care-of-mind-and-body/

I think I take good care of myself. But do I really? have a look at the information in the link and see how you fare.

When I saw this picture that Derrick took some time back, I found it so interesting that I spent a lot of time just gazing at it, and allowing my imagination to wander down a multitude of avenues. This for me was relaxation, it was inspiring too. That to me was a moment of positive relaxation.

Knowing now that there is a day set aside for reviewing and making time to enjoy some quality time with yourself.. Will you actually do something different, will you make time to break out of your every day routine? Just wondering.. =^_^=

You will find Joy when you immerse yourself in a your task. When you face your task with a can do attitude, you will be filled with enthusiasm and inspiration.

Power of Prayer

I recently did special prayers for someone in my life. I knew how important it was for him to connect with a family member. Due to circumstances, this was an impossibility. The thought had been in my heart, and on my mind for some time, but I had not action-ed my thought.

Sunday after service, I asked to do special prayers with the Sr. Minister. I prayed with faith in my heart, and let it go.

Today in speaking with my friend, I heard the joy in his voice, the opportunity to speak with his loved one had taken place. I was moved to tears. The emotion of the experience was so great.

In my lifetime, I have seen and felt many beautiful happenings. This particular blessing has reaffirmed for me the power of prayer. I have so much gratitude in my heart this evening.

In PL, we can receive personal consultations, or prayers tailored to our individual characters and situation. In this instances I prayed for my friend and his happiness.. In his happiness, I found contentment.

I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things. #4

Thursday doors

I wish I had found this one, but alas, it came to me by way of a dear friend who know of my “love” of doors and such. To all my fellow writers out there, doesn’t this just grab at your “imagination” tug at a bygone feeling that hasn’t quite disappeared from your box of “shadows”

There is something so tangible so totally “earthy” in natural product.. in this picture the wood. I can even imagine the smell of the wood in the heat of summer, and feel the cool hardness in winter. What a “wow” moment it had to have been for the photographer who captured this frame.. my thanks to the “gods” to have kept it safe all these years and to MC for sending it to me so I could share it with you all today.

Don’t hold anything back; give it your all. Always approach things with full enthusiasm and energy. Then, things will develop in a new direction.

engulfed in the constant unrelenting heat

you search for the open skies and the welcoming spray of the ocean waves

finally you find a place where the gentle breeze is playfully caressing the trees, a woodpecker is feeding on the tree, the floral scents are wafting over your senses

think carefully of what you will do and say each day, be grateful, appreciate the many splendours of what this world has to offer. We see a lot, hear a lot, there is no denying that there is a bombardment of endless uncomfortable atmospheric mass of unpleasant and uncomfortable energy that is at times out of control.

WE must find the peace, the quiet, the natural nurturing environment of clear skies, fresh growth, and take the path(s) that lead out of the negativity and back into the light of love, peace, and gratitude.

It is important to say “Thank You” Everything that appears in front of you is all material for you to improve yourself, whether its food, people, or things. Learn to accept everything whether it is something you like or not.
