Instead of candles on a cake, after all this time, a bonfire I thought would be more appropriate. Thank you everyone for your wishes… September is a month of celebration for sure … I think this is the first year in a very very long time I have actually worked.. September was a month of travelling, and exploring. ahhh but.. you have all heard me say, time and time again… Every day is a new beginning.

Wow… thank you everyone for all the BD wishes… Not gonna let me forget are you… I’ve had so many over the years. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to them. I even got an invite from Movatti (health club) I am entitled to one of their very special shakes from the health bar.. I will take them up on that, Since my return after an absence of 7 years, I have not sampled their new offerings. It is not that I try to ignore my BD, but you know… after a number of them.. we kind of… want to just acknowledge them and roll with it. As my cousin (Brian) said, September is BD month. September babies are lucky we have the most beautiful month of the year to celebrate in, I’m not alone, there are a lot of September babies.. Happy Monday

How nice, another birthday card. Rosie sipped on her tea, and listened as the movers grunted and called out to each other about the best way to get whatever it was they were moving into the house. Her birthdays usually came and went without much fanfare, but this time, she had to admit, all the activity of getting the “girls” settled in was a lot of fun.

Each was so different, and the luggage and pieces of furniture that were arriving each day, was so fascinating. So far, the silver dragon sculpture had been the best, although the very old roll top desk was also interesting. packages of odd sizes and shapes arrived day and night. She was so glad she had accepted the offer to be here.

Even her old chest of drawers fit in, her room was big enough for her to enjoy the privacy of her room when she needed it. Yet close enough to the kitchen and public area, for her to keep an eye on the coming and goings of the participants in the project that had brought them all together.

Birthdays were such happy times. She wondered how old she was… but then, catching sight of herself in the mirror, she smiled. Who cares she thought.. It is how I feel, and darn it all, I feel pretty good.

The day just couldn’t get any better thought Rosie. Every day was so full of surprises.!

Chop Suey Thursday

Colours of my day…… of late instead of writing in a journal, I do a colour piece, mixed media, these pieces, are either stand alone, or I will use them for backgrounds to other works I might be inspired to do.

Colour plays a part in my day. I love colours that speak loud and clear. Probably because I like life to be clear and uncomplicated. I spent part of today, calling what friends of my Mother’s that are still around to let them know the memorial is coming up soon. Like her, they are up there in age. It is more a courtesy call, to let them know so they are not forgotten. The memorial will take place right down town, not convenient for parking.

As beautiful as they are, all flowers eventually wilt , dry up and fall off. They are so vibrant and joyful when in bloom. I feel so alive, so bad ass healthy. Too bad, when I catch a glance in a mirror, I’m not sure who the person looking back at me is. I say to myself, I’m like the bark on a stately tree, I get better with age.

To celebrate my husband’s birthday, we had dessert.. which is not something we do often. There are advantages to celebrate the passing of time =^_^=

Wow… what a start to the day

you have no idea how simply amazing

it has been, to wake to so many birthday greetings

Thank you all for your wonderful messages of love and friendship… I was overwhelmed when I got back at the birthday greetings and kind words. The road weariness evaporated under a blanket of amazing heartfelt gratitude. Many of you I have only met and interacted via social media and the virtual world, I really truly love and appreciate each and every one of you.

It was a wonderful birthday journey, filled with sunshine and balmy weather. We got to explore, visit and rest, my husband once again shone with his thoughtfulness at ensuring that everything went well and that we were safe at all times. To my fellow vintage buffs, this was the find of all finds, 100% silk, pure vintage, with beads that appear to be all hand sewn ..=^_^=
