the Diner

How many of us still remember the old diners. My friend above, has recreated this wonderful old diner, and a pizzeria that was fun to visit the other day, while two old friends caught up on how the past month or so has affected their day to day.

This is a good time to catch up with old friends, loved ones we have not had the time to visit with … or even call. Now that some of us have a bit more time on our hands.. reaching out becomes a special moment in the day.Gets us out of our own “hum drum” and interacting and renewing friendships.

You can become more attentive with prayer. Live your life with a prayerful mind so that you an be more attentive and make the people around you that much happier

Busy

I saw this tree – lying there supported by the under growth. My first reaction is to go in and pull it away from the younger trees, the newer growth. I would have had to have my work gloves with me, and proper footwear, but at another time, without the dogs with me. I would have attempted to rectify the situation.

Years have passed in my life, and I now recognize that the “solder” is down, and my limitations are what IS in that moment. Nature will deal with the situation, and in her own time frame, with the assistance of the “world” around.. either workmen who come in to clear, or the animals in the forest who jump over or trample a path nearby.. the aging process… decay.. whatever, it will heal itself. Life does that.

I need to take care of me, and look more at what my needs are. What I can do something about. See the tender young shoots that are breaking through, eager for a new season of growth. Even though the day was not perfect for sunny pictures…. my camera captured, what WAS at that moment, and for me that was “perfect”

Take on the task even though you’re busy You’re busy because you are needed. Actively, positively and creatively juggle yur time to fit the new task in.

May the fourth

It is a wonderful day, the skies are a dull gray, with the promise of wet clouds and lots of humidity and rain. Taking out the recycle to the curb I couldn’t help but look down at the empty street, both ways, the garbage bags all neatly sucked into the curb waiting for pick up. Green recycle bins stand erect little little soldiers waiting to be relieved of their waste for composting.

Yup another day in the city. Ah we will have the postal worker delivering today, (no delivery on week-ends here in Canada). Smiles at all her readers, can you just feel the excitement of “expectation” … this will be a really interesting day, and it will be fun and meaningful. Look it is has already begun, I am having morning coffee with YOU.

On a more serious note, we have people in our lives that are undergoing surgery today, dealing with medical issues, anxiety. Whatever their concerns, let us join together in prayer … I will do special prayers today at 10 a.m. Eastern. IF you are available to do so, please join me in a prayer of healing. Let us expand our spiritual energies into sharing the burden of worry with those around us.

If it is Star Wars Day, then for sure.. Let the force with be with you .. now and always.

Yet within the picture it will always be one piece of a whole, and that whole will have its own edges.

The early morning sunlight was just out of reach as we rounded the bend. The soothing sound of the spring run off making its way to the river is a melody I hope will never end.

With the morning stretching into noon, I thought of turning around, but somehow, I found myself lingering. You’ve fed my need for make believe & replaced my dreams with reality. This has opened up my senses to the awakening energies in the earth, the life force in the trees, and the texture and shapes of all of nature’s bounty.

We met and simply never parted, it was forever from the start. This is written in the wind, and sung by the sparkling waters of the stream.. Harmonizing in the background, is the sweet songs of the many birds who live in this little bit of paradise.

Here on planet earth is an oasis of love that is repeated over and over again in different vignettes all over the world. -Q-

Always think that “everything will work out” When you allow yourself to be pessimistic, your thought and actions become sluggish. Approach everything optimistically without hesitating.

May 1.

The other day I got this idea for a song. That worked when I lived across from a musician and we could work on ideas whenever we got in a creative mode. ie. we each had time at the same time. That was years ago, Dave has since moved on with his life, and I mine. Until recently I have been happy writing my blogs and short story lines.. But the other day.. these words came to me…that to me, were not a story, but.. I could hear them with a melody. A lot of good that is .. since I do not play an instrument , yet…its an idea I want to explore.

This is one of the plus items.. on being home. I get to pull out my project drawers and either rediscover them or purge them. so much can happen in a short period of time.

Sometimes, no words are needed. The stance, eyes, ears, say it all. When we look at partners, friends, family, the look might not be as obvious, but there sure is a current that crackles. There is not too much we can do about the reaction of others to our “choices” except, agree to disagree. We are individuals, life would be boring if we were all the same.

No one can take away the joy you get from putting your whole heart into something. The joy you feel when you’ve put your all into something is yours and yours alone. Nobody can take that away from you.
