efficiency gone wrong

Oophs.. click, click, really! in my efficiency I deleted and cleared out mail that I had in my IN folder, then I manually cleared out the deleted file. Like DUH. What did I have for supper.?? I read the incoming, but some I had left to return to, I wanted to reply, or comment. Sorry… I had good intentions however, my efficiency manager, took a wrong turn in the gray matter.

Flexibly adapt to changes. the world around you changes, and so do you. enjoy the transformations and deal with them flexibly.

today 22nd.

a taste of lace

The forecast said, snow this afternoon, and snow it did. I got out for one more wander ..

the peat moss is covered with all the fallen “leaves”

I could feel the stillness in the air. there was a thin layer of ice on most of the water.

There was a delicious sense of anticipation, it was cold, but not an angry cold, my fingers sought warmth in my pockets, I enjoyed the fresh air, and the brisk stirring of the teasing breeze as it tousled my hair.

From no snow to inches deep on the deck around the supper hour. Already I have been out twice to clear the deck and patio area where the dogs can run. Yes.. I will delight in snuggling down under the covers tonight.

You will find joy when you immerse yourself in your task. When you face your tasks with a can do attitude, you will be filled with enthusiasm and inspiration.

take out? tap tap tap

what busy bird(s) came by and left its mark while having a tasty slice of tree
these little devils I just discovered love stucco too..! there are a few in the neighbourhood who are wrecking havoc on my neighbour’s new home. The little beggar(s) comes daily to dine … the upper corner of the house, right under the eaves. I’ve never seen the like. so far nothing he(neighbour) has done has deterred the bird(s) from coming to dine.

What can give artistic pleasure to see the designs of “age” ” on an aging tree standing in the forest, does not incur the same reaction when the same craving for food and substance is applied to a home in an urban setting.

In Taoist philosophy, and in PL, there are always two sides to a coin, there is a positive/negative… just look at your hand, there is a top/bottom. the two are ONE. some difference are readily accepted, they just are. no more…no less. Your hand would not be whole without the top/bottom.

It is only natural that you are different from others. Each of us has our own way of thinking and our own individual lifestyles. That’s what makes life interesting.

I had a sculpture (still have) on the roof outside the back porch, the same little “beggar(s) ” kept coming back, nothing I did deterred it. now I have a male head(bust) with many “openings” guarding my property. Totally unique and different. =^_^=

obstacles

once useful, now scattered and left askew, doing nothing useful, just taking up space
this wonderful derelict I couldn’t ignore, I so hope someday, someone will adore it by restoring it.

Life presents us with challenges/opportunities every day. Sometimes we hear the call, when we do, we can take it on, or do our best to ignore it. However, the top photo is what happens to the clutter in our minds, when we try to push aside, or put off, something that needs our attention.

What are we back to….. choices.. yup.. somethings won’t go away on their own, WE have to take a hard look, and put an action plan in place. Or it will become overwhelming.

Strive to overcome obstacles by changing your mind-frame. Things don’t always go as planned. When that happens, try changing how you look at the situation or how you are doing things. The outcome is in your hands.

Today

Today, it was cold, damp and gray

what a wonderful day for a visit to the park

after all, with it being so brisk,

there would be little risk of finding a crowd

I bundled up, filling my pockets with roasted squash seeds

Didn’t take long before I made a new friend =^_^=

who couldn’t contain her happiness at her good fortune, so it wasn’t long

before I had several other chicks singing along …. two beautiful blue jays joined in, they truly made me feel like I belonged …

Dark menacing clouds soon began to push aside the sunnier skies, the wind that had been merrily drifting along beside me, began to pick up speed, nudging me back towards my car. The temperature dropped, icy chill seeped through my jacket, till I no longer felt like I wanted to stay.

The ornamental grass waved goodbye as I sped away. They know I will return on another day.

fences

Fence – ” a barrier enclosing an area” . “enclose or close off an area”.. “practice the art of fencing”

some are put there for our safety, some or not respected
some get old and stand neglected

As I lay listening to the wind and rain last night, I heard how it began a tentative tapping and saw easy swaying of the branches. Later I was surprised by a demanding angry energy that caused quite a stir outside the house. I was grateful for the walls of the house that kept me safe inside from what sounded like a cold blustering howl of an energy. Any lingering dust on the windows or lying about outside, would be whisked away, I had no doubt.

I heard the rain as it pelted against the window panes, it fell washing/drenching everything in its path. Yet this morning, when I let the dogs out, the ground was already starting to dry. Not because of the sunshine, (there is none it was 6 a.m. and dark) but because where last night the wind brought the rain, now it was on its own, and drying out the wetness of the rain.

Hmmm only 30% precipitation for today, with a high of 42F not bad, winds could get up to 17 mph. Looks like a day to bundle up.

Your willingness to learn will make you shine even brighter. As long as you are motivated to learn more, you will continue to progress in life.

wood

There is something about the evolution of a tree, and what we have learned about how it grows, the different types of wood, hardness, texture, colour. I am captivated when I walk into a workshop where wood is being worked on/with. I love the many shapes, forms and characteristics of the different species.

I never tire of discovering an old wooden building/structure

In Wakefield the other day, the wood workers shop was not open when we went, but I got to explore his outdoor work space. Wood everywhere, it was a mini paradise.

I know that pictures are not the same as being there, but I’m sure for those of you who love this kind of “setting” as much I do… you can almost smell the wooden wonder of the place. In the back of this property is a babbling brook. YES I not only got a visual “high” I had the ambience of the running water and clear blue skies. YuppeeDoooo!!!!

We all have different ways of feeling and thinking. Let’s always accept others differences and respect one another. Remember that “different strokes for different folks” is the key to having harmonious relationships with the people around us.
