With us all slowing down and having to regroup, revisit our daily activities, one of the past “loves” has come back into my life. Music. There was a time when I listened to music from morning till bedtime. Over the years it has fallen into a “when time permits” place.

Now I have discovered YouTube music where anything and everything I have ever listened to or liked pops up for me to review and listen to without commercials. That with my Sirius Xm in the car.. makes for a whole new “ball game”. Yes I can have the Xm in the house on my devices here. but somehow I have just never had the time or inclination to figure it out.

My walk along the boardwalk the other day, enabled me to rekindle my love of “new discoveries” being in the outdoors, reveling in the sights and sounds of a new “discovery”. Life is Good.

Discover the joy of transforming yourself. When you realize how much you have changed for the better, it fills you with true happiness. Strive each day to improve yourself.

Friday 23rd

see the “walker” as he makes his way through the forest…

Be a person who can recognize the sincerity of others. When you put your whole heart into things, you will be able to notice the sincere acts of others in the subtle things they do, and appreciate them that much more.

mer blu

I’ve never had birds fly so close to me, almost land on me, even light on my camera. I was totally enchanted with my walk… it (boardwalk) was one way, only once or twice did I encounter other visitors. The experience was all mine.

Adapt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.

a tree

stood alone
but not on its own
a cow on its own
but not alone

With the wind and rain of yesterday, already, many of the trees are bare.. When cows lie down (said me Mom) “its going to rain” Rain it did, it poured, it pelted the car windows, it filled the gutters, it washed away the dust and grime, leaves fluttered to the ground, it was a wet new world all around.

Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

A pessimist makes difficulties of his opportunities; an optimist makes opportunities of his difficulties.

Harry Truman

The teacher who is indeed wise doe snot bid you to enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind.

Kahil Gibran

You will find joy when you immerse yourself in your task. when you face your tasks with a can do attitude, you will be filled with enthusiasm and inspiration.

Sunday

When something comes to mind, do it right away. The moment that you notice something is the best time to take care of it. If you react quickly, your life will be more efficient.

I was over-whelmed by the all the colours I saw today. It was magical.

Strive to overcome obstacles by changing your mind-frame. Things don’t always go as planned. When that happens, try changing how you look at the situation or how you are doing things. the outcome is in your hands.

branches

wet and plentiful

Drizzle, wet splattering droplets were landing everywhere.

still, even as a single drop hit the lens… I continued on my walk

At one time, I would have not even undertaken to wander out in the woods while it was raining. On this day, it didn’t matter… this was where I wanted to be.

yup, its tilted .. artistic license =^_^=

The day has many possibilities, like the branches on the trees, they begin and end somewhere.

interlude

A drive to get petrol for my car, took me beyond where I “had” to go… down through county roads that led me past way too much colour and “wow” moments.

Is there such a thing as colour over-load. This year we have been simply inundated with day after day of Nature’s magical palette. Yes many of the trees are now bare.. Enough so that you can see their stark beauty as you walk the nature trail.

the birds that I saw flying from tree to tree, were plentiful, their songs were a constant melody of various notes as they went about their business.

If you are going to do it, do it joyfully. If you have to do something, choose to do it with joy and enthusiasm. By doing so, you will experience a deeper sense of beauty.

a happy place

there is something special about photographs that recall a moment in time

pictures that take us back to another time and place. When I found these pictures yesterday, I wondered if I could ever find them again. Computers are amazing wonders. I don’t know how often I’ve changed computers since these were taken, I’ve lost count. Yet, here they were on my screen popping up from files that the software genie had compiled.

I no longer questions how these things happen, the Universe has a way of delivering these little “presents” when I least expect it. I say thank YOU and feel gratitude for the discovery.

With the Thanksgiving week-end having just passed (Canadian) I got to spend a lot of time with memories as i looked over all the pictures. The pictures dated back to the early 2000’s A lot has happened since then. Seeing my Mother, sisters, family pets, in-laws, gave me much time for reflection. Of course, constant in all of them was my husband, it was his love and dedication to our “lives” that enabled much of what i got to see and live during the years he was here on earth with us.

It was a reminder not to squander the time we have here on earth.. it is a beautiful environment, and meant to be enjoyed, Friends, family, people we meet all have a purpose…We are all ONE….

We are all represented in Nature, we can be different seasons, different species, but we are all here to co-exist. It is time to focus on World Peace.

When you think “I’ve got it” think again. It is easy to misinterpret the situation and jump to conclusions. Always have a humble attitude and double check to make sure.

Catch and release

The joy of fishing, is not only the communication that happens between man and the treasured catch, it is the preparation for the day’s outing, the planning, the location, the endless time spent adrift on the water… and the time spent in the outdoors (Nature)

My son prefers to fish with his kayak, Dan the young man in these pictures is a Musky guide, he and his brother Emmanuel (Manny) have logged many hours on the water, it is their passion and in their blood. Remember yesterday in PL we held special ceremony thanking and being grateful for the gifts passed down from our ancestors, and other wisdoms we’ve learned from our “elders”

Dan had just posted one of the above pictures, he has a natural love of the outdoors. He grew up with the outdoors being very much a part of his “learning experience”.. Having spent time on a reserve in the summer with grandparents and extended family, his love and respect for the natural environment shines through now in his adult years. Both he and Manny are licensed guides, and as you can see from the pictures, year after year, put smiles on peoples faces by introducing them to the world of the Musky.

Fishing is about patience, and an ability to be in the present, to live and totally be at peace with your surroundings…. I know my son when he catches that worthy opponent ( fish) that gave him a good “fight”\, he thanks the fish for joining him, then gently releases him/her back into their environment.

There is so much that happens in the world around us, sometimes we forget that it (the world) is not all “greed” “corruption” and self centered, narcissistic and self indulgent “people/news” While there is a lot of negativity in the world, there is also a lot of POSITIVE, LOVING and, HEALING, ENERGY …. it is up to us as individuals to seek out the path that will lead to WORLD PEACE.

Each and everyone of us, has the power within US, to be good, to do good. We are not born with a natural desire to inflict pain, and be disruptive, we are born free of prejudice and bias.

On my bucket list, is to spend quality time drifting along a shoreline on a quiet day, with clear skies and an uninhabited countryside (of people) where only the sounds of Nature abound.

Diamonds, emeralds, rubies, they are not treasures to me, they are minerals taken from the ground and repurposed by man… they may sparkle and glitter, but they are cold. but I digress….. it is a beautiful day… open the door and welcome the brisk autumn day. If you are able to enjoy the fall colour of the hardwood trees, enjoy… soon… it will be a whole new season.

Live with gratitude in your heart. Spend as much time in and around Nature as you can. It is revitalizing.
