Power of Prayer
Good Morning everyone.. I have a thought I’d like to share with you, I am open to your input. For years now I have been doing special prayers. Seldom does a day go by where I don’t meet up with someone, and/or get asked to pray for someone who is going through, or having a difficult time with .. whatever… Certainly in these times of multiple tragedies, whether due to climate change, or day to day circumstances, there is a need for prayer.
In PL, we, as members are encouraged to pray everyday, and yes there are days, set aside for special ceremonies and prayers that are led officially by a minister or Hokyoshi. Through this site, I often will get a personal request for spiritual help, for someone who just needs a “helping hand” I have taken to doing silent prayers for individuals at a time I set aside, just for the purpose of doing what I call a power prayer.. Would anyone out there be willing to add their voice to this power prayer? It is simply a matter or putting aside a few minutes a day, to pray for those who have asked for help, who need a special prayer in their lives. It is the act of dedication, the sincerity of the request that is important.
Do you think it would interest you? It would take only a few minutes of your time… but it would be a time that would be of great service to others. Thank you for considering this request for input. There is a by-product, you get to spend a minute on yourself too =^_^=

This white dove was quick to arrive when I got out of my car, she settled on a branch nearby.. and seemed to be waiting, when I went to the back of my car to the boot, she actually moved over to sit on my car by the driver’s door. To say I was thrilled to see her is an understatement, I had never seen a white dove in person before.
It is said that if a dove follows you, it can be a message that you are in a period of rediscovery about your life. This is currently so true, another reason why I am a believer. Doves teach us that regardless of external circumstances, peace is always within reach. They carry the energy of promise… I spent a lot of time yesterday, “thinking” I am awed that out of the blue, a white dove would come to me today.
Yes there have been doves at the site where I was today, always the mourning dove.. in the pretty soft shades of gray and beige.. today … this dove was white.
Timing is important .. today is the Day of Peace in PL, it is celebrated every 1st of the month. =^_^=
bjd project update
These BJD (ball jointed dolls) have been patiently sitting now for over 3 years waiting for me to “get to them” I have not gotten names for them yet.. they are just “there”… The one on the left that I have been aging, is definitely going to reflect fall (big smile) my fav time of year for “creative expression” The green is a paste I’m trying that works for getting the moss effect, then I have the crypt paste which has a grit in it, and the texture grave paste I want to try. Fun time ahead. =^_^=

When I saw this picture that Michel took I knew I had to share it, (he said OK) isn’t it a heart-breaker. Michel is a wildlife photographer here in the Ottawa area, many of his pictures are stunning, but this one… it had a WOW factor I couldn’t resist. Especially as you all know a family of racoons has been trying to redo the feeders at one location, and doing a rather good job of it… I arrived at the feeders yesterday to find that the bicycle is now in two pieces.. sigh.
This is why I began to research early what will work over the coming winter season. These past weeks I have seen possibilities, but of course, the birds who will spend most of the winter months in the area, have not started to arrive. Presently there is a different clientele =^_^=

This last quote is one that I try hard to practice daily, To do so, I have to also practice, “stillness” “listening” and “patience”. It is a habit to rush, to be busy, to be on the go. I am much better now, but at one time I had a day timer and it was used every day, I scheduled, planned and wrote in it every day.. Now, I seldom use one at all. Every day is a new beginning, every day we get a chance to start a new canvas or revisit an old one.. but it is a day of possibilities. My husband’s motto was always “seize the day” =^_^= He did his best to do so till the day he passed on…
No one ever said life would be easy.. but it is always interesting and AND.. FULL OF LOVE!
When we live with love in our hearts, it spreads into the world around us… =^_^=
discoveries
This past summer a friend and I visited a retreat where she would be doing a ceremony of celebration for one of her friends. There I saw the maze that was being rebuilt and at one end of it, was this statue of the Virgin Mary, I didn’t ask, but that is who I think it was. She had been there for a long time, still she looked so serene.
This summer I discovered that I love the smell of the wild flowers that grow along the overcrowded roadsides and pathways. And, most importantly I’ve discovered that there is a lot of me that I have yet to explore, understand and get to know.
It is easy to be safe, do what is familiar, frequent the same places, talk to the same people, it takes courage to step outside of what is “known” and to try something new. I’ve read and reread it a few times now. I am taking that last sentence and reading.. Let’s live being open to new possibilities .. when we do something to be more aware of the situation and not take for granted we know what we will experience, let the moment happen, let the interaction be “pure”
Like yesterday, I got got caught in the rain.. had I really thought about it, the practical side of me would have reminded me I had a rain poncho in one of my pockets just for such occasions. Instead I reveled in the moment of the rain, its mesmerizing downpour, the feeling of how the wet seeped and clung to me. It was a first.. Of course we all know that within a short time I was cold and chilled. By the time I got home, I was looking for dry clothes and warmth. BUT I did live the moment. =^_^=
Will I ever learn, who knows. There are words of wisdom all around me, I am constantly encountering new experiences, as long as I draw breath, I will experience NOW, that is who I am. As one friend pointed out, I am blessed with many gifts. I looked up the definition in my Oxford…. I certainly was given a surprise gift yesterday! A lifetime of living, and surprise, there is still something else I’d missed and now.. … learning is never-ending. like change, it is another constant in life.
Do things joyfully instead of taking it easy. Enthusiastically engage with what’s in front of you. You’ll enjoy it more.
