Be careful not to lean towards only what you like. Live a life of balance; don’t just do things you like to do, or are good at, or already know how to do.

FELIZ ANO NOVO! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
WORLD PEACE STARTS FROM PEACE AT HOME. Your life is part of the bigger world beyond you. Start with your surroundings and spread peace to the world around you.
Seeing this picture reminded me of my trek around the perimeter of the piece of land that stuck out from the mainland. I had been climbing over stumps, fallen logs, dense vegetation when I felt the eyes watching me. I looked over and there was a very intent bird watching my progress. I was so close I was surprised she didn’t take off.. but then… she wouldn’t would she.. she was protecting her nest. I made my apologies and backed away… not before I whipped my Nikon out to grab a picture. Can you see if she said “cheese”…
Are you overdoing things? Not only do you harm yourself when you overdo things, but you may be imposing on others as well.

Reconnecting ( or staying connected) with nature is vital to good health. It has been shown to have an enduring effect on emotions and mood. I find it very helpful .. I call it part of my brain health support program. Try it, you might like it. =^_^=
The whole world is covered in a wonderful / serene blanket of silence when there has been a long period of snow falling. These days .. I often find myself alone with the wildlife that has come to dine in the early morning light. Louise Hay (author) wrote ” our hearts lovingly pump joy throughout our bodies. When we deny ourselves joy and love, the heart shrivels and becomes cold.”
We get so caught up at times in the soap operas and dramas created around us, we forget to notice the little heart, and the joys around us. The simplicity of BEing ONE with nature is an awesome gift, one gives one’s Self.
Praying before taking action changes the outcome. Have clear wishes and do your best. Then something new will open up for you.
Someone wrote on his/her profile they preferred to take the roads less traveled. This morning as I took my time driving to the feeders, I revelled in the serenity of the road I was on. There is something to be said about going somewhere early in the day, before many are out and about (it was after all a Saturday )
I wonder who is happier . me when I see the birds waiting for me to clear the snow and open my trunk to access the seed/suet, or the birds. They sing and begin to fly to the feeders, some come directly to me and land on my scoop with the feed, no longer shy they just dive in and fly away with their prize.
Help the people around you smile more. Always strive to make those around you smile. That will bring you joy too.
Thank you Universe… I would be so lost without my friends… If my friend hadn’t skyped me I would still be tucked in my bed .. totally unaware that I was and will be late late late…. Now that I’m late… what can I do but accept the fact.. and deal with it.
Think “now is the time” instead of “it’s no use now” Don’t give up by thinking it’s too late. Tell yourself that there is more that can be done.

Have a wild and wonderful day everyone, it is all good!!!!!
PS.. I was gifted a little purple dragon last night that hovers and follows me when I move around… fun or what!!!!
Alone, adrift, lazily following the current, ….. no…. if I were to pan out you would see my companions and fellow nature lovers…. we are all ONE, sometimes we need only raise our heads and look around.
Don’t let circumstances sway your decision. It does not help to overthink things. sometimes we just need to make up our minds and move forward.
Life is fragile … a moment comes and goes in the blink of an eye. Today was December 1st. and at the PL church we had a 10 o’clock ceremony (every 1st of the month) where we pray for world Peace and dedicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings in our own worlds. On the 11th. we have a ceremony to express our gratitude and appreciation for the love and virtues of our ancestors … asking for their protection and guidance so we can continue to live the PL Way.
The church is a building where we come together to pray and share the values and the philosophy of the teachings. Without people it would an empty building, it is the people who come to share in community that makes it a special play to be.
When I come up to and walk through the doors into the church, there is an immediate calm and a sense of “quiet comfort” … the doors our symbolic of “passage”… they are not ornate, but strong& sturdy, their presence give a sense of “security”… when we enter, we pass through from “the outer world” to the “spiritual” world of our true “selves”
To visit and explore the world of doors, please visit Dan’s No Facilities site, where other “door lovers” have posted their door(s) for you to appreciate and enjoy. https://nofacilities.com/2022/12/01/barns-and-news/
Yup… we’ve had snow.. it is not staying around, “don’t kid yourself” said the wee voice… you’ve already had your first bad freezing rain drive down the icy snow covered dirt road. So… now what… Big Smile, we can build a snowman, start thinking of a rink, and yes, maybe even give some thought on how to decorate and cheer up the room(s) for the December holidays.
If you are a dog owner/walker you get to see the snow by moonlight, when the dogs need their evening “let out”… I’ve noticed how the snow has a silver almost transparent shine as it gently and silently floats and dances down from the above. There is a light that goes on over the back door when the dogs bounce out into the night, it shines over the deck… it is really very pretty.. and sooooo quiet.
At 5:30 a.m. when I start my day, I get to enjoy the early morning quiet before the activity starts up .. today being Saturday the roads I need to take to get to the conservation area will be less busy. I’m excited, I can leave earlier and spent time with the crows while they have their breakfast. It is a pleasure I allow myself…. they are so grateful. They arrive in such numbers… but still I am starting to be able to tell some of them apart, the “leaders” the noisy ones, then there are the more reserved, even have a clown or two.. their personalities are such fun to observe… especially now that they are getting used to me again. Even have a silly seagull who thinks he is part of the “morning crowd” he sticks out like a sore thumb… give credit to the crows.. they let him/her join in.
Make today a memorable day. Let’s try to put our whole heart into whatever we say or do, as our unique signature.

Treasure each moment in time. Life is a continuation of now. live your life as fully as possible without regrets.
milder today, still need those winter boots and coats .ENJOY!
This was the tree limbs back in early 2021, below is what is left.
Below is how the feeding area looks now… I’ve since changed a couple of the feeders but you can see the difference and the setting. (a beautiful wild turkey, I miss them.. they have gone further into the woods for the winter… )
For your info…. Mer Bleue has closed the board walk, it has been blocked off… so has the boardwalk at P6 off Moodie.. At Mer Bleue we are now hosting Evening Grosbeaks, and joy of happiness… they are at P23 too. (Dewberry)…. today was a real winner, I got both the red bellied woodpeckers and the grosbeaks while I was there filling the feeders.. bonus the crackle dropped in.
To everyone celebrating Thanksgiving today… Enjoy!
Be cheerful and friendly with those around you. Other people can sense how you are feeling … so, be cheerful.
