Bom dia, good day everyone!

A day filled with sunshine, that is one thing about winter mornings … the sun comes streaming into my office showering the office with a happy glow that is so inspiring and welcoming. The dried black fungus and fish mah is soaking so it will rejuvenate and be ready for a meal later… my iced coffee is watered down just like I like it.. What a super fantastic start to the day.

Another week, I can hardly believe that we are in the second half of the month. I was reading the calendar’s lesson for the 17th. (yesterday) Tente mais um pouco.. Persevere without giving up .. Persista un poco mas (a has an accent my keyboard doesn’t) smiles, nothing will stop me today, I feel so positive and HAPPY. In fact most days, I realize I am HAPPY . I like being HAPPY.

I had a Skype conversation with a friend the other day and was totally blown away by an experience she had. I listened carefully because I knew the people involved. It had been a negative experience at the time, but she was wise, in having let it go… and in a most positive way was moving on with her life. She explained the situation in a factual way.. and took responsibility for her part in it. I knew there was a reason I had liked her from the beginning when we first met. =^_^=

Of course, there is never just one side to a story, just as beautiful as this little black kitty looks, relaxed and resting, in another moment or two, the view we could witness would be very different indeed.

I plan on having a great day, there is a lot to do and be done, but, first things first, I was not going to let another day go by without saying how much I appreciate you … and thank you for sharing time with me.

bring sunshine and wonder into someone else’s life.

We don’t always know how our actions impact on others.

PL Precept # 6 Live as the Sun

Have you ever noticed how even on a gloomy day, if a ray of sunshine comes through the clouds, your mood changes, you look up with appreciation, and sometimes smile.

Life is full of an accumulation of small events/moments. If we go through life focused only on what we consider, big, important things that need our attention. We miss opportunities to notice other things. How often do we walk by a neighbour’s house, intent on getting to the bus stop, or to where we are headed. We don’t see the neighbour unless they speak to us, nor do we see their garden, the flowers… we are on “the go”. Busy, Busy, Busy.

Our lives are what we make of them, Our days, nights, how we live them.. we are creating our own unique work of art.

PL Precept # 1 Life is Art

Be like the sun, bring sun shine into the lives of others, it will radiate back into your own. Cultivate positive and strong relationships .. When we love with a true and trusting heart, the rewards multiply and happiness becomes the mainstay of every day life.

I took my duck puppet to church today… I wanted to talk about LOVE, and “ducky” is a good ice breaker… kids and adults alike smile and chuckle as soon as “ducky” makes an appearance. Why the prop, well, love although a small four letter word, really packs a punch, and to everyone, it means something different.

Children have no problem saying the love you, or showing they love you, but … for many reasons, adults have a more difficult time with the word. AND if you have a problem with the word, how do you manage the emotion that goes along with that word.

When you love someone, you are saying, I care, you mean something to me. Loving someone is including them in your life, in your heart, in your space. it isn’t a restriction, it is am embrace.

Love is the freedom to be………………. love is knowing that happiness or sadness is all part of the embrace ……………………. love is being able to share your vulnerable moments and know you are safe …………………… love is knowing when you fall, or make a mistake, it is just a moment in time, that true love is forever, always and everlasting.

Friendships are built on trust

Love is the thread that binds us all

it may be small, however

the word, is one that has the power to forestall

the negatives in this world, to erase
fear,greed,wars and strife

so that, we all live with love in our life

yes… ducky went to church and made everyone smile today!

new Monday

It’s Monday…. oh dear…. the start of another week. Wonder what is on the agenda for today… last week seems so far away, Had I made plans, are my days all booked. Seems strange that last week, I thought this week was going to be clear … and I would have lots of time to explore.

The weather really doesn’t matter, I’m still left to ponder all on my own, of just what or how and when, this day will come to and end. The excitement of life comes from expressing our individuality. We are born with a one of a kind personality and individuality, or unique character, that is ours alone. In order to express our ourselves fully, it is important for us to live each moment to its fullest. With our out most makoto (sincerity)

There are times when we are faced with which or what path we want to be on. It really doesn’t matter if you go left or right, what matters that whatever you do, is what you want to do, and that you travel the path taking in each moment as best you can.

The 1st of the month we celebrate, Day of Peace. Today and everyday, let us, no matter where we are, work towards wold peace. What ever you decide to do today, do it well, if you have time, sit for a spell… and enjoy the day, give thanks for being part of a world that holds an abundance of love, joy and laughter, we need only cultivate it in our lives. Peace be with you.

As clear as day

I saw the sun and moon

when you looked into my eyes

I know no other way

to express that moment in time

when in a single moment,

I knew the meaning of sublime

how often have I meditated and prayed

to know such intense and immense joy

suddenly I am so alive

this is not something I can contrive

no, I know… I really really know

together, we are divine.

God is love, we are ONE

“all things come to fruition when the heart (content) and the object (form) are in accord with one another”

I don’t think that I can count the number of times, that I discover that my reality and the actual happening, and interaction with others, is totally bonkers. I talked the other day of time, and perception, every day I learn how askew my reality is, and that because of that, I create my own frustrations and sometimes anxiety. As a young child i can recall how other children would taunt me and call me names..just because… I was different, I was Asian in a very different culture. Hurt and confused I would run to my father, who would quietly take me aside and explain to me that in life, there would always be others who don’t understand or accept that I was different. What counted was, my thoughts and understanding about myself. I was young, not even close to a double-digit age. But he would walk me through understanding that it was because they really didn’t know me yet.. and that I should go out and get to know them.. He didn’t let me stay in or shield me, he sent me back out to play. He taught me that it was their problem if they lacked insight, not mine.

He taught me that life was to be lived, and that meant accepting that it would not always be sunny days, or happy, but what was important was that I like myself, and enjoy the world around me, because it was a gift. God/TAO was always, always with me, part of me, I was never alone. In going back out to the play, I did get to know the other boys and girls, and I learned another language. To this day, my friends from that time of my life, tell me what it meant for them to discover friendship with me, someone with a different cultural background,, and how it changed for them, their perception of others they later met in life that were “different”

The Universe is vast, and often we find ourselves alone with a view that is beyond words, or in a situation that is just so awesome to our inner psyche that.. there simply is nothing to do but absorb and take in the moment. Even if someone shared that ledge with you… no two people will experience the same emotion in that moment, or “see” the same “picture”.

The Universe, does provide, only it may not be when you want, rather, it will be … when the time is such that you are ready for that discovery/recognition.

Happiness is… … discovering

Every day, I look for inspiration for my meditation/prayer and this blog. Today I travelled to Scotland, I’ve not been personally but my sister and nephew have, both have come back with stories and pictures of a magical place.

I also found this text, by Peekytoe Crow, the picture that will follow the text is what inspired this person to write what they did. His/her words are worth sharing with you today.

People universally tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will maybe descend upon you like fine weather if you are fortunate enough. But that’s not how happiness works. Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it…
